Perisic is one of best Croatian players in the last decade. He belongs to the group of best players with Modric, Rakitic and Mandzukic. Ante Rebic need to grow up and try more in order to achieve what Perisic has so far.

I know pretty well that people who love Ronaldo will want Portugal to go through, but imo, I don't think Portugal stands a chance against this Belgium side today, I'm afraid the defending champions will be knocked out, except of course if an upset happens, Portugal haven't really been good in the tournament thus far, and I know it was in this same manner they became champions in the last Euro tournament, but I seriously doubt the same will be repeated. They have surprised sides like Germany and France by scoring first but after that they failed to keep up the advantage. Their defense is a worrying department but attack is good. It will be an interesting contest.

No doubt Belgium is favorite but as mentioned before the only advantage Portugal has is they have Cristiano Ronaldo.
However if Portugal manage to take the match to the penalties, i am sure Portugal will have advantage and there winning chances will be more at that time.
Also lets hope covid remains away from UEFA.

I think Mancini masterclass won Italy the game, those changes were well-timed at the right moment of the game, they needed someone to cause troubles on the right flank and Chiesa was all thy needed to break the deadlock. Kudos to Austria they gave us an entertaining game I never expected such from them, they could've caused one if the worse upset last night of not for the cancelled goal.

Yeah. This is terrible news for the Croatian team because now one of the best players will not be able to play against Spain in the round of 16.
Perisic was isolated from other team members and the national team's medical staff immediately reported the incident to the epidemiological service, providing evidence of compliance with all measures to prevent the spread of the coronavirus. Perisic will spend 10 days in self-isolation and in that period he will not compete for the Croatian national team. All other national team and staff members were tested negative.

This strategy is very likely to be a blunder, imagine if VAR did not exist then I believe Austria would have won. Italy is still lucky because Austria's goal was disallowed because if it was a legitimate goal, then Italy would not be able to reverse the situation under pressure because time was also running into the last minute. I'm just disappointed with the Italian game, because I also bet on this match and a draw in 90 minutes made my bet lose. Cheesy

Thats exactly what I did too, I saw the odds going up and added an extra bet "knowing"
they were going to score in FT.

First half was good with some positive play from Italy and a few chances but the second half
saw Austria come into the game more.

No, I think Belgium will win, they are much better than Portugal, they have better players and a better team. Portugal did get through a difficult group, but they were also close to going out.
But of course nothing is certain, and if Portugal get any opportunities, then Ronaldo will get his chance to score yet another penalty - I mean, goal... Cheesy

It was not funny but it is a fact that without Cristiano Ronaldo , Portugal team is nothing special. If you analysis, Portugal mostly wins when Cristiano Ronaldo scores. There are few players who can win the matches single handedly and he is one of them.

that was a really good football game last night. Italy against Austria. 120 minutes of pure football. it was really fun to watch.
as a neutral football fan, I have to say that it was almost the most exciting duel of this European Championship.
i wouldn't have thought a few days ago that Italy would have so many problems with the Austrians.
with a lot of luck, Austria could have scored the second goal in extra time. then it would have come to a penalty shootout.
but now Italy has won and are in the quarter-finals.let's see who will be the opponent in this game.
