Talking of the game as training to Portugal, I totally disagree on that, the Turkish team gave in a good fight, just that their greatest undoing was their defensive performance, and I believe that if their defensive performance was better, it wouldn't be that easy for Portugal at all, as the result make it look like.
yeah Türkiye didn't play too bad. they created several opportunities and that proves that Portugal actually also has gaps. unfortunately the Turkish attackers found it difficult to score. Portugal's performance is certainly considered above Turkey's, but looking at the match that took place, Portugal did not underestimate Türkiye.
In their group, Portugal is clearly the favorite. and they will easily become group winners. tough odds for the Czechs and Georgians.
Sometimes you are just unlucky, from all three goals, only one of them was a proper goal that deserved to be applauded, the other two were one own goal and one basically tap in because defense made just one mistake. It happens, it's football and all of them part of it, but in a day that you do not end up screwing yourself over, I see both teams being a lot more equals.
Plus, the one thing I have seen on reddit from Turkish fans is that they hate their manager, because their manager builds squads based on what agents want, I have seen this for over a dozen times so I am inclined to think it must be possible. Arda Guler not playing? Kenan Yildiz not playing? I mean there was something wrong with that team for sure, they made a mistake.
