He said so but looking from the performance of Barcelona in the Champions League, their was no much effort in the game because all their focus was on laliga, this might likely happen in the Europa league again to Barcelona .we all know how Barcelona needs laliga badly.

Barcelona's main goal is to win the La Liga title. Barcelona could not win the La Liga title in the last three seasons. Now they desperately need this title. Barcelona management spent a lot of money to strengthen the team. And now they are quite stable with the help of Xavi. And so now they need the La Liga title more than the Europa League title. I think Arsenal will win the Europa League title.

I also have no doubt about this Xavi is having first priority in La Liga because if they are able to win this definitely it would be good for them as in next season they can do better with confidence and having something to cheer as well.
But, if they have good performance and confidence then surely they can beat Manchester United in Europa Cup as well because right now they have just three points lead and Real Madrid is also trying their best for narrowing this all because they are also defending two titles with few injuries issue, but things can change any time for them as well they have good players, but their moral is currently down with they need to wake up nothing specially which is currently missing from their side.

I must start by saying that Barcelona deserves this win. As they have now won the final against Real Madrid, they are competitors for the La Liga title, they will now be very confident about winning La Liga altogether. Barcelona is currently on top of the La Liga table with 41 points, while Real Madrid is three points behind with 38 points in the same amount of matches played. If Barcelona is able to hold onto their good form, I am pretty sure that they have a really good chance of winning the league because the Real Madrid defense is struggling in recent times which could be a big matter that Barcelona can exploit.

EL is often unpredictable, you are right, there are various reasons for this, lack of motivation, or lower priorities over other tournaments. Therefore, it will be very difficult to predict who can be stronger Barcelona or Manchester United until we see the first game. They are close to their optimal shape, so if each of the teams is determined to win, we will see an amazing confrontation between the two European giants at such an early stage.

I still see it 50% for Barcelona and Manchester United both to advance to next stage in the Europa League. Because while Barcelona are improving their performance Manchester United aren't just watching these days. Manchester United have made a big progress in the English Premier League recently and maybe it could be even a bigger one than Barcelona's.

Both are good and have good history in domestic and UEFA so if Manchester United won surely this could be good for them and Barcelona will try to manage things in positive way for the La Liga trophy because currently their main focus is this which will help them for having better strategy for the future but right now any prediction is surely not going to have any positive impact because we have very long way to go and both will surely try to avoid further injuries or any off the field issues because these both are having new units which need more time for development and giving better results for the end of this season.

But right now, Barcelona win against Real Madrid in Super Copa is also announcement about their desire about trophies and having good dominance in La Liga which was under threat for the last few months with their poor results now Xavi brining back things which were important for having winning combination.

I agree, it's a lot more important to win La Liga than to win europa right now. However, it is also a great thing if you could win them both. Football is not really as much white/black as people think it is. Many people keep saying "well they will focus more on la liga than europa" type of thing but the reality is that we are going to see them focus on both of them at the same time.

These are professional players, mainly young enough and fit enough to actually play 2-3 games a week and be great at what they do without being tired all that much. Everyone thinks that if you focus on la liga then you will be tired when it comes to europa games but that's not the case, they can give their 100% to both of them.

Barcelona's performance against Real Madrid in the Super Cup was like a hint for what they can do from now on. Because their biggest problem has been against big teams. They have lost so many big matches in this season and this cost the team really a lot. It was the main reason why they were eliminated in the Champions League so easily. But after this great effort I want to believe that something has started to change about this team. They played against Real Madrid amazingly despite Real Madrid's having their usual starting eleven.

I don't doubt they will care about the Europa League as much as the La Liga as well. They don't have much option either. We can see this level of effort against Manchester United in both legs.

Yes, Barcelona are the kind of club that can only play in one competition, unlike Real Madrid or Bayern. But I don't think Manchester United are a strong contender for Barcelona at the moment. I think Barcelona can beat them and advance to the next round. Especially as Manchester United are not having the best of times.

I agree with you, maybe Barcelona will take their Europa League game as a place to prove that they have stepped up now and are ready to become one of the best teams in Europe again. I mean the previous season they played not as usual and couldn't even compete with other teams in various competitions, so that made them a little underestimated by the team that would face them. The Super Cup trophy means a lot to them to be able to win the next trophy this season.

Me too. Im believing with the performance from manchester united. Barcelona itsef looks very strong right now after it was winning the super cup. MU has very good squad to defeat barcelona in europa league. Im not feeling doubt if MU can do that. This gonna be a high tension match between barcelona and MU.
