The last season Sevilla tricked people into thinking that they are actually much better than they appeared to be in La Liga due to their win in the Europa League, but I think there were many obvious problems that Sevilla couldn't cope with. It worked for them in the Europa League for unknown reasons, but I never was of the opinion that they will soon do much better. Buying Ramos was a desperate move to get some big name into their team, but apart from that there was nothing to look forward to.

If you can assume Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen currently have good dominance also in the domestic league then I think, Liverpool and Bayer Leverkusen at this moment have good quality also compared to the teams currently playing in the Champions League . Leverkusen has performed very well this season, in the Bundesliga and in the Europa League. they deserve to be favorites.
but I still think about Liverpool and also Roma. all strengths will be visible when the knockout round begins. I don't see any other team as a threat, apart from a few other teams from the Champions League. but every team will do extraordinary things in the knockout stages. it sometimes provides many surprises. like Sevilla last season in the domestic league they did not appear promising but in the European League they were extraordinary.

I believe that fatigue might not be that relevant although you never know and it can also lead to injuries. That is often the biggest risk if several players at once during the most important weeks of the season out of a sudden get injured more than they normally do. But Liverpool has a decently deep squad and could be able to compensate for some injured players.
