Maybe because the assumption of various parties and most people is that the contribution of top players is to require the number of goals he can score. but here, Osimhen has not done it, but in fact he has also made a good contribution to the team. I don't think any one will clearly try to underestimate Victor Osimhen nor his playing abilities I believe the Galatasaray coach knows exactly why he is playing him in every match because he has watched him and believes in what he is capable of doing when he is in the field i believe soon he will start scoring goals for the team.

This is fine. Even if it's the Champions league, I only want to see teams in the top half of the league. I'm happy to see Galatasaray at the top of the table not just because they won me my bet on Wednesday but because of Victor Oshimen is in their team. Looks like you're a fan of Turkish teams . My prediction is that Galatasaray will go on to be one of the main contenders for the Europa league this season. They are given that kinda vibes plus Gala have been head to head with Man Utd before in the Champions and we're ahead of Man Utd in the said group so this isn't their first rodeo in European competitions.

In this format it is really difficult to get an image of the full standings. Even I do it will take a lot of space so I wanted to get only top 8 for now.  



This is how it looks after the end of the first week games. Seeing Galatasaray in top 8 makes me happy. We are at the beginning of everything, I know. But making a good start is really important.

It isn't easy to finish in top 8 among all those clubs. I want to see at least one Turkish club finishing there and Galatasaray to be that one if possible as they are my club.    We look really good for now after that convincing win over PAOK.

Ajax team has not been in good form this season. In the Eredivisie we see the average Ajax team at the top of the table. The Ajax team dominates the Eredivisie. But now this team is in tenth place in the table. Ajax won 2 out of 4 matches. The team's performance is erratic. For these reasons, I considered the Besiktas team as the favorite.

I have seen excellent performances of Besiktas in Super Lig matches. Besiktas have played well in almost every Super Lig match. But the performance of Besiktas players against Ajax was abysmal.

The dominance of Ajax's players was evident throughout the match. Ajax players made a total of 17 shots. 9 of these shots were on target. On the other hand Besiktas' players could not get a single on target shots. We saw Besiktas' poor performance both in attack and defense against Ajax.

Regardless of the fact that Fenerbahce has already scored one goal before their opponent got a red card in the second half but i also have same feelings that Fenerbahce would not have won Union St.Gilloise, it was after the red card that Fenerbahce started attacking if not they were defensive though that has always been Jose Mourinho's pattern of coaching right from time he does more of defensive formation than attack. Being more defensive than attack has been Jose Mourinho's strategy right from time especially when his team scores first.

Well I've actually been saying that for more than 3 seasons where Ten Hag has been the worst decision of the MU and the only one responsible for taking this team to the lowest levels in the world , I don't know how they support him, what do they see in him? What is it that they like about him as a coach? I've seen that many people here in the forum defend him to death, why do they really defend him? the fact that they lose a lot ? the fact that they are not going to win Anything important with him ? that is what I see all the time, for me things will improve at the MU once that man leaves.

I think early games of Europa shouldn't really be cared this much. United may have failed to win, and yes last year at UCL they looked terrible, but there are 7 more games right now and I think we are going to see them recover from this. I think that we are going to see a lot of teams end up with failing to win, it is going to be about 14-15 points that is enough to go to next stage within first 8th, and even less points, like maybe 10 points would be enough to be in top 24 so they can play one more game.

So all in all, I think it's clear that we are going to see United be there for sure, they can make a lot of points and it should not be really that complicated, we can make this work without a doubt. United can win 3 games without a doubt, probably more.

Even we are having some surprises and upsets but without any doubt this is humiliating defeat for the Besiktas against Ajax which is having not good time in last season and in this season as well because they punish badly them, and we have no short on goal from the Besiktas which is another huge below for them and their attack.

After watching this game now I have strong feeling Besiktas is not having good hopes into Europa Cup so most chances they will be stayed into Super League for having better results because this result is surely going to have negative impact on players and it's never been easy for them to overcome from this result as well.

Besiktas journey into this league are looking not easy as they are having next game at home against German side Eintracht Frankfurt, and then they will be visited Lyon which is also having good time in Europa cup games.

Ajax did play quite well and in the second half they were more crazy by getting 3 additional goals and that surprised me too, in the first half Besiktas could slightly compensate for how Ajax played and Ajax could only get one goal but the second half really made us stunned on Ajax's way.
Olympiakos was made helpless by Lyon in the first half they were quite balanced but in the second half Olympiokos had a lot of blunders and that made Lyon's opportunity to control this match.

I think the 2 top surprises of this week's round was Man Utd's 1-1 draw against Twente, confirming Ten Hag is just not the man for the job, and FC Porto losing 3-2 to Bodo/Glimt in an away game, despite Norwegian team being crippled by a red card from the 51st minute.

Next week both FC Porto and Man Utd will play against each other in Portugal. Bookies think it will be anyone game with odds almost equal for each team, with Mn Utd being a very slight favorite.
If I had to bet, my money would probably go on Porto. They are doing OK in the league and I think Wednesday's loss was just a minor mishap, whereas it's clear that something is clearly wrong with Man Utd.

Although in the Turkish league standings Fenerbahce is in second place under Galatasaray, I think it is still a fine result because after all, basically Fenerbahce is not a team that is always at the top of the table. But indeed, because Fenerbahce has a great manager like Mourinho then it should be Mourinho to be able to make Fenerbahce have good results there, and not just be a shadow of Galatasaray.

But perhaps, Mourinho also still needs time and process which of course, to get a success will not be achieved in a short time. But with that too, it looks like Fenerbahce's  chance in the Europa League will also not be easy at all.But,  if for example Fenerbahce managed to qualify  for the knockout phase later, then I think it would have been a good result too, because this season is also Mourinho's  first season at Fenerbahce.

Union Saint-Gilloise almost gave a surprise in the early minutes and they dominated in the early minutes of the first half, there were several moments that they were unable to maximize throughout the match.

That is how some players are. sometimes they don't really have a chance to score. Osimhen is a good striker, and everyone knows how he helped Napoli win league trophies; gradually, I am sure he will start performing well in Galatasaray. He doesn't understand his teammates very well yet, because even Mbappe, who is in Real Madrid, doesn't have a better chance to score because he only scores in penalties, but he has gradually started scoring without a penalty. I haven't seen any complaints about any of the players.You can't compare icardi and Osimhen because every one will prefer to take Osimhen than taking icardi, because Osimhen is still doing well and is a young player with more strength than icardi, so Osimhen is doing well. I prefer Osimhen to be starting matches and the coach is trying his hardest and they are topping the league table and even winning there matches i didn't see any complain with any players.

Mourinho has gotten pass his prime so it will be very safe to drop down on the expectations placed around him because he's definitely not goin to really do much better but look for situations where his strategy still fits in and take full advantage of the situation at the end of the day. He before now for his strategy and how effective it has been over the years and how much he has been able to achieve with the strategy, i even think he is gradually getting to a retriable age and should consider that as his prowess is beginning to fail.

Exactly, but the issue I have with Mourinho is that he turns highly offensive teams into playing more defensively. He literally forces his teams to become defense focused teams. He did that to every single team he was coaching. Now when he did it with Inter Milan in 2009/2010. it worked out because the balance he had within the team was perfect for it. But then he tried the same with Real Madrid and I know a good number of people who said that it was one of the least attractive times to watch Real Madrid ever. It wasn't enjoyable. Now guess who had the best offense in the Turkish league last season? It was Fenerbahce and yet in my opinion Mourihno goes too much for becoming a destructive team against the opponent. It is more about destroying the opponent than shaping their own game for the better.

I know that some people will now say that he is still winning titles from time to time, but the times that his teams were monsters are quite over. In 2012 Mourinho couldn't help but play offensively with Higuain, Benzema and Ronaldo and that was when they scored 121 goals in La Liga and won the title. Nowadays, as I said, is he trying to turn players into players that they are actually not based on their talents and strengths. I doubt that Fenerbahce will make it very far in the Europa League.

If their opponent didn't get a red card, I don't think Fenerbahce would have gotten that win. What I saw, Fenerbahce only played well at the start, but after that one goal, they tended to play defensively, and that actually became an opportunity for U.S Gilloise to develop their rhythm. I thought that was Mourinho's strategy because like before where Mourinho really prioritizes winning without having to play well and even if it's just 1 goal.

Fenerbahce are not like the team managed by Mourinho now, over time it will all come down to the fact that he will strengthen the defense, this will affect the team's attack, but for some reason it seems to me that this will not work in the Turkish championship, and as you said, losing 5 points in 6 rounds is too much, and Galatasaray is going without losses, and Besiktas can already bypass them if they win their game. Not the best prospects for the team, it is obvious that the hope was on Mourinho's authority, but his recent results show that his strategy is becoming outdated.

Yes but if you ask me, Mourinho is not the mastermind anymore that he used to be. His golden times are a thing of the past and while he can be so furious, he sometimes comes across as if he couldn't care less. They are doing ok in the league, but you can already see that Galatasaray is at their best in the league. If Mourinho wants to win the title, they can't afford dropping 5 points already after 6 games. Just see last season when 99! points were not enough to take home the title.

By the way, why was the last Fenerbahce coach actually sacked when he was able to score 99 points in a season? Was it only because they had the chance to sign Mourinho? They are paying him 10.5 million euros, so obviously Mourinho went for it. But I doubt that he will play a better season 24/25 than they played in 23/24.

You should not forget that Osimhen is still new in that club and needs time to adapt into their game pattern properly. At least if he didn't score any goal, he was able to make an assist. Also a player on loan that is fit will always start matches and if possible finish the match because that is also part of the agreement.

You should not underestimate Osimhen because the coach knows what he is doing and wants to give Osimhen the chance of adapting to the team game pattern to build a better bond between him and the players.
