the question is, what if after changing the coach it becomes obvious that the problem of united is not just a coaching problem? The entire team looked tired and uninterested in football and can comfortably give out point even after the sack of Eric Teng hang. Thier performance against Leicester under Ruud Van Nistelrooy who is now thier interim coach should show if what's the problem of United is a coaching problem or more than that. The worse thing to happen is that they lose against Leicester in this match, it will be a very bad start for the new coach and might get fans really worried. They just have to win this knowing that on Sunday is an important fixture against Chelsea who is more of an arch rival that's currently in a better form than united.
As with the question of keeping the previous manager and whether the team’s performance can be guaranteed to be better, at least by changing the manager there is a glimmer of hope that change can be seen. Erik Ten Hak has not been able to handle the egos of Manchester United players and that was evident from the start and there may be other, far more crucial issues that are making Manchester United’s performances worse. Under Ruud Van Nistelrooy Manchester United managed to win the game with a more promising number of goals and I think you can judge that if you watch the game.

At least there is new hope when the previous atmosphere was not going well and we hope Manchester United can return to performing consistently even though they have not got a permanent coach.
Sacking Ten Hag is the best step taken to improve the team's performance, because Ten Hag was not having the tactical idea on how the team can win matches. Even if Manchester united performance will not improve up to expectations, it is better than Ten Hag remains the manager, because this will make United management look for a new coach that can handle the club. I will love to see how Manchester United will perform in their next three games to see if there will be a change.

The 3 draws Manchester United got in the Europa could be as a result of low motivation, incompetence and tactical errors on the side of the coaching crew. It is very obvious that coach Erik Ten Hag has run out of idea and lacks the ingredients of taking the club to glory days considering the result the team has produced in the Europa League this season. Three draws in a row doesn't seem like a coincidence to me, rather it shows how exhausted the manager is and probably doesn't know what next to do to improve the team's performances both in the European competition and in the domestic also where they seem to be struggling too.
.

It seems that Erik Ten Hag has struggled in arranging strategy in both the Europa League and Premiere League after Manchester United drew several times. The team's success has not been seen this season, perhaps one of the best ways for Manchester United to focus more on finding additional new players on the front line because defeat cannot be tolerated, like it or not, the management has to look for the best for the team.
I think the best option for any struggling team like the case of Manchester United is to introduce a new coach that would probably introduce a new style of play or an unusual strategy that is far more better than that of the former manager, only in such a situation can a struggling team can begin to experience some improvement that can be transformative and also move the club out of the lowest position where they are right now in terms of ranking and otherwise.

I think no other manager has had as many opportunities to prove himself as Ten Hag has had to prove himself for Manchester United.

You have a point on that because there is no manager that has been given such privileges that was giving to him since I started watching those matches because i have seen how most of the clubs behaves towards there coaches they would tension the coach right from his very first match if he is not coaching well they would replace him or give him a deadline to meet up before the season will end but that was not the case of Ten hag it was as if Manchester United management did not even care how he coached the team because already before this time so many questions has been ask if Manchester United management is very okay with the poor results he was bringing to them, well one thing about all this kind of coaching is that if the club management did not say anything the coach will just be relaxed feeling that the management is very pleased with him.
Yes, the opportunity given by Manchester United to Erik ten Hag is very broad, but unfortunately he could not prove the trust that Manchester United tried to give. If we look at what Chelsea did, then Erik Ten Hag got a lot of opportunities. Just imagine, Chelsea can change their coach even 3 times in a season, that's because they are not satisfied enough with the coach's performance. Even when their coach gives good progress like their previous coach, they don't think twice to fire him at the end of the season. Well now Ten Hag has ended the opportunity given to him and I think Manchester United could actually be quicker in making that decision.
Even Ten Hag himself already knows he had failed Man united football club on the contract that he signed , and wouldn't say he wasn't given much of time to try to change things even when he was to be sacked last season, yet he was given another opportunity after last season mess up.

Xabi Alonso received several lucrative offers during the summer but he declined them to remain at Bayer Leverkusen and I don't think he'll be making a switch to Manchester United now so if Manchester United should finally decide to sack Erik ten Hag anytime soon, then I think former Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez will be the available option. Xavi in his time at Barcelona really had a impressive spell as he helped them win the Spanish La Liga title in his first full season at the club. I think he'll help improve the performance of Manchester United if he gets the chance to manage the Red Devils but we must wait for the club's management to make their final decision on who to replace Erik ten Hag should they sack him

I think that for now the MU shouldn't get too excited about Ten Hag being replaced, they have already decided and they decided on Ten HAG, so harbouring a possible reason that they could replace him this season would be a smart thing to do but I don't think they will do it, they will continue with Ten Hag until the end and well for now he has to assume his mistakes and move on, Xabi doesn't want to go to the MU, even though it would do him a lot of good, but for now he won't leave a Leverkusen team that is doing well in the UCL, he has neglected the Bundesliga but without a doubt Leverkusen is a team that fulfills him.

Ten Hag has already been sacked and his assistant took charge as the replacement until whenever they would come to agreement for a new manager. Ruud van Nistelrooy who replaced Ten Hag had a good start with a 5-2 win against Leicester City, it was an interesting game play following his new temporal management, much on him due to their next fixture against Chelsea, the match won't be as easy like that of Leicester. The match against Chelsea will be a test if they will be able to sustain before they approve the decision on who becomes the permanent coach, current talks on Ruben Amorim who has agreed on the terms.

I am sure we are talking about a team that will try to play a lot more with fire. The main reason would be, players who are veterans would know the difference and they would end up also hyping the younger ones up as well.

This is the exact moment any team has to do better, because otherwise they will seem weak and management will start to sell players who are playing badly as well.

There are too many players on this team that sucks, and they should sell them to make room for others. I can literally keep 5 players from this team and fire all the rest, sell them if I can, or just bench them and not play them until they are gone. They need to get some young and very excited players to get them some success, otherwise they won't do well.

What they need right now is some leadership, and Ruud is giving that until Amorim comes, he is an old player who seen high levels so he can help them do as well as they can hope for and just keep the ship going.

Basically Manchester United got easy opponents in the Europa League, but because of Manchester United's poor performance so far, Manchester United has also been unable to get a win. Although initially Manchester United was a team that was included in the trophy candidate, but in reality Manchester United experienced poor performance and results  in the Premier League and also in the Europa League. Thus, it is certainly very appropriate for Manchester United to fire Erik ten Hag. About who the next Manchester United coach will be, the hope is of course to be able to make Manchester United rise  with good quality and performance in a short time this season.
In the Europa league, the Red Devils have not fought for a prominent spot other than adjusting to major defeats and dissapointing results. Manchester United have failed in all essential phase this season and you think it's good news for the club? It rather consider a little bit late for the club, and drastic measured been taken into action, which one sees Erik Ten Hag relieved from his managerial role and that's one step closer to redeveloping the club. Erik Ten Hag was given enough time to make things right for the club but things got screwed along the way, ofcourse this is not Ajax where he can do those magic and make things happen, this is EPL and making things happen, he has to take things step by step because it's a process.
There is a big difference between the league Ajax plays in and the Premier League. Things may be going the way he expected in Holland, but things didn't go as easily as he expected in the Premier League. Also, I think the Manchester United management gave him too many opportunities. The manager Ten Hag, who didn't take advantage of any of these opportunities, in my opinion, shouldn't have started this year with Manchester United. Fortunately, the management had to accept his change before it was too late.
Ten Hag has gotten a lot of opportunities at Manchester United and even with huge money support he has not been able to take Manchester United to the highest level at the moment, on the one hand we can imagine what would have happened if Manchester United had qualified for the Champions League this season and I think they would only be a goal barn for other teams if they played in the Champions League, Even now red devils is not able to undergo the competition in the Europa League  with good although the team that plays in the Europa League is actually of lower quality or weaker than the team that plays in the Champions League, the poor performance obtained by Ten Hag in the Europa League and EPL is a strong reason for his dismissal, previously I thought Ten Hag would coach Manchester until the end of the season but fortunately the management began to open its mind if retaining Ten Hag would only May it make them more fall later, Ten Hag was previously a successful coach at Ajax but indeed the quality and competition comparison between the Eredivisie League and the EPL is very different, besides that I think the transition from the Eredivisie to the Premier League can be very challenging because of the difference in intensity and quality of competition, so Ten Hag may difficulties in adapting the tactics and strategies that have worked in the eredivisie to the demands of the Premier League so far.
I think no other manager has had as many opportunities to prove himself as Ten Hag has had to prove himself for Manchester United. If he had something special in him then he would have given his best to make the team perform better but he couldn't do that. Manchester United did not ask him to improve the performance of the team with bad players but they only wanted to see their team performance better through good quality players which the former manager of Manchester United has always failed to show. However, Manchester United made a good decision by changing the manager, now the most important decision for them is going to be the appointment of the next manager in their club. If they manage to appoint a quality manager then their team will return to consistent performance.

Rather than spending more money to buy some front line players again, I think it would be better for Manchester United to see a new coach who is rich in tactics this season. Because the Manchester United team does not lack the best players at this time, but they only lack the best tactics from their coach so that the team does not look to be progressing and developing well this season. So the team management who can be very aware of this will certainly do their best because if they only buy players without being equipped with a smart coach, it will also be very useless and they will also experience more losses this season.
Buying and selling players is not very important and does not bring success on its own. What is important is the contributions the coach brings to the team and I think Manchester United can see better times. Erik Ten Hag was a strange coach who also had problems with the players. Manchester was never a threat during his time. He was a coach who even offended Ronaldo, one of the legends of the club and world football. I hope that the time for their rise will come now.

Xabi Alonso has a commitment with Leverkusen this season, at least until the end of this season. Because if he wanted to move, he would have moved last season after many offers came to them and even big teams from big leagues were interested in him. However, Xabi Alonso decided to stay. With reasons like that, it is very difficult for us to see Xabi leaving in the middle or even before the middle of this season. He will finish something he has started, he has made a decision and I am sure he is a person who sticks to the decisions he makes. Indeed, this young coach has an attraction for other teams, especially after recording success with Leverkusen.
Last season actually he had too many offers such that if he had wanted to exit Leverkusen, he at that time had Many other options to pick from but I think it was a brilliant idea of his to stay back and further develop his skills as a coach since it was his first job as a head coach, this will help his career as he's already getting a champions League experience in the early days of his career as a head coach. Somehow this decision of he is not just about the discipline to staying by it but the effect it could get on his career could also influence his decision to having a stand at Leverkusen for the period of time he feels he's okay with.

I think he made the right choice by sticking with Leverkusen but needs to prove that last year wasn't just a coincidence and he can have a brilliant season this year too even if the start is not so great for his team. However , like you said above , he is already a great coach that will be hunted by great teams in coming future so his job for now is to gather as much experience as he can on Champions League or any other European competition.  Smiley

There are so many shortcomings of Manchester United this season that they cannot play optimally like other top clubs, against clubs like Fenerbahce, Porto and Twente Man United were completely unable to conquer them even though they each got 1 point but that was a bad result for a top club, but after the dismissal of Erik Ten Hag hopefully it will bring a better change and Man United can improve their performance again before being eliminated in the Europa League this season.
We are very hopeful the dismissal of ten hag will be of good to the team, actually he game they played to night against Leicester in the Carlin cup, they won by a God number of goal so hopefully the may just be improving but this is just their first game let's allow them play other games and see what they will have as results then we can tell if they are going to be doing well enough.

This is precisely the 3rd time they have drawn in the Europa League this season from the 3 matches they have played, it is a very unsatisfactory record achieved by Manchester United. Honestly, I am confused to say whether in this match Manchester United played well so they could hold Fenerbahce to a draw, or Fenerbahce played well so they were able to hold Manchester United to a draw. Because from the beginning, in fact, in the match there were big questions about Manchester United's performance, even though they have a bigger name than Fenerbahce, but in terms of their game they were not that good.

Who knows if things will begin to turn around for Manchester United now that Ten Hag have been sacked and Ruud van Nistelrooy is now in charge of the team as the intrim coach. Ten Hag has brought down the club performance to a very low level, which is why they are finding it difficult to have two straight consecutive wins. I don't think that there's any hope for United of qualifying to the round of 16, because Ruud van Nistelrooy will need to understand the players capabilities, and blend them into his own game pattern, which might be a big challenge for him.
Several times on this thread, I've always said that Manchester United's problem this season have been Erik ten Hag's poor tactical approaches to games especially in the few games they've played in the UEFA Europa League this season so now that he's been sacked, I think the club now stands a better chance of improving their performances in all competitions. Ruud Van Nisterooy is just an interim manager like you said as well so I think he'll want to build his profile a little by getting the best results in the games he'll oversee before the club's newly appointed permanent manager Ruben Amorim takes over.

Yep. Xabi Alonso even refused to move to Bayern Munich or Real Madrid. There is no way that he accepts to move to Man United now. Xabi Alonso also has a contract with Leverkusen, he must wait for the end of the contract if he wants to move. He is a typical of loyal person, he won't easily switch to Man United. Meanwhile Xavi Hernandez, he doesn't manage any team now, he is available to move to any team.

Xab Alonso has remained unchanged about his decision to remain in Bayern Leverkusen so until his contract expires with the club can we know if it will be renewed or he consider moving to other clubs but i also have the feeling that Xabi Alonso may not accept to coach Manchester united reason being that the club needs a lot of works which will be so stressful and exhausting for Xabi Alonso and for the fact that he managed to make Bayern Leverkusen become a better club will also mean that he will prefer to move to a club that is more consistent than Manchester united. Maybe Xavi Hernández can take up the job since he is not coaching any team currently after he was sacked by Barcelona so he is most likely the favourite to be signed by Manchester united.

Well this is something we have to realize, that a coach can be successful when in a different league, but of course it will not guarantee success when in another league, especially if the league has a very competitive competition, so it is something that will make them much more difficult than imagined.
in the case of Erik Ten Hag, I see him equating between Eradivisie and the Premier League, proven by the fact that he brought many players when he was the coach of Ajax. The results we can see for ourselves, that the players he brought could not have a significant impact on Manchester United, and some of them even played with jokes.
