I am not going to lie but I also expected West Ham to win but the way Frankfurt played in that match made me doubt that West Ham is going to win even in the second leg. Because they played really well as a team and the link-up play between the players was really good. I really did not expect this level of football from this team. But now if anyone told me which team I am going to support I will say Frankfurt.
I think like you.
I don't follow the German league and clubs except Bayern and as far as I can see Frankfurt is not even at the top of the German league so they really surprised me with their great games against Barcelona and West Ham.
I'm really impressed with their games and even more with their fans, who even managed to turn the Barcelona stadium into their home stadium.
I cheer for them to come to an end and win this competition. What a story that would be  Grin
I think they have a very good chance.

It is quite surprising to me that they have played as a team and it was not just aimlessly passing the ball. They actually played well and made good forward plays with their link-up passing. I was really surprised to see them playing this well in the Europa league when they don't have much to speak about in the Bundesliga. Now I really believe that they have what it takes to win the Europa League this year

Eintracht Frankfurt are a middle-placed teams of the Bundesliga currently but they can still get this much close to the finale in the Europa League. It is really impressive to witness their big success for them. They know that this is their only chance to be able to qualify for the Champions League. They seem powerful enough to even win the title. They have already captured this important advantage by defeating West Ham 2-1 away in the first leg. They can finish this next time. And it looks like it is likely to see a finale between German teams here.
Honestly Villareal was 7th in La Liga last year and they won the Europa, and this year they are 7th again and in the semi-finals of UCL as well. So it is clear to me that what you do in the league doesn't have to provide anything.

By comparison before Frankfurt eliminated them, Barcelona "almost" lost to 12th of Turkish league Galatasaray as well. So, it should be clear to us all that whatever you do in the league, or whatever league you are in, when it is just one game that decides the outcome of going further or not, any team could have a chance to go further and do better. I personally believe that Frankfurt could go all the way if they are a bit lucky as well.

indeed an extraordinary performance showed Frankfurt. they don't stand out in the local league, but look very good in the Europa League.
2nd the leg against Wast Ham I think the chances of Frankfurt winning will be very big. after winning in the 1st leg, they will be easy for the next match.
several times I lost my bet for not betting for Frankfurt. against Barca and West Ham I lost the bet.

I watched that game and Eintracht Frankfurt played a really great game, very good and concentrated in defense and with quick counterattacks they beat West Ham.
West Ham still have a chance to win and advance to the finals but will have to play much better in defense in the next game.
It seems to me that they will not be able to secure a place in the Champions League next season through the English Championship, so this competition is probably their last chance for them.
Glasner's men really showed a very good defense in this Europa League.
Two teams that were candidates for champions some time ago, Barcelona and West Ham have already felt how difficult it is to score goals for this team. Their defense is very impenetrable and their quick counter-attacks are really accurate and well deserved indeed they are in the final in my opinion when they keep up like this. but indeed it will also have to be seen whether West Ham will sit back and play a game like the first leg. Because I think they have to try even harder now if they really want to be in the final

As is often the case, performance in national competitions and European competitions cannot be correlated, as much as we would like to add the statistics. Frankfurt is not a top team in Germany, but it is still the only remaining team in Europe. It must be said that the Champions League with Dortmund and Munich is also of a higher level. Frankfurt rises above itself, but also owes the victory in Barcelona to all the supporters who traveled along. It was more like a home game for them. Memorable what happened there. They played well too, I wouldn't be surprised if they win this tournament. I don't think they are a favorite though.

It seems Rangers haven't had such good chances to win trophies for a long time. None of the rivals, neither Leipzig nor West Ham with Eintracht, look like "impassable" rivals. Everyone can be beaten, all teams are approximately equal. It's been a long time since I've had such balanced semifinals.
Indeed, and Rangers probably slightly unlucky to lose to a late-ish goal -- they paid for getting more chances in the first half but poor finishing and by the time Leipzig found their feet, it was with sharper endings, and of course a moment of magic from Angelino. Usually what turns things around in a tight game. Could probably say the same swing at both ends for the Hammers game.
Still, with both winners last night carrying such a slim lead, it's still finely balanced I'd say, though West Ham probably favourites to go out as they'll play away.

RB Leipzig had a really good chance of getting two ahead in the match. They had a clear chance on goal at the 69th minute of the match I believe. They didn't have to even beat the goalkeeper and it was shot off target. Otherwise, it would have been a better advantage for RB Leipzig going into the second leg. And leading with only one goal is certainly not enough at this stage I would say.
In terms of game, Leipzig was far superior when the two teams competed in the first leg, but in that match Rangers played so defensively that it made it very difficult for Leipzig to score goals.
In the second leg, I think Leipzig and Rangers will try to play attacking and for Rangers, of course, who want to catch up with Aggergat. that way I believe that it is very likely that Leipzig will be able to win again.
Maybe only Rangers as a team that does not have a chance, because for West Ham even though playing away and in a losing position at least West Ham still has a chance to win and qualify. But for Rangers I think it's difficult, because if in the first leg they only play defensively then it proves that they don't have a good high confidence to get the win. It doesn't matter if they play away or at home, because if they only focus on defending then of course they will still be difficult if they fall behind.
As predicted, the meeting of these two teams was fierce.  West Ham and Frankfurt took turns attacking for 90 minutes.  The match was at a high tempo with lots of chances.  Actually, West Ham are slightly favorites in this match.  Eintracht Frankfurt's victory at home to West Ham 2-1 became an important capital for Frankfurt to look at the 2nd leg. West Ham also has a chance to qualify for the final, Frankfurt must be wary of the rise of David Moyes' troops, they are predicted to fight it out.

Likewise, the 2nd leg match between Glasgow Rangers versus RB Leipzig, these two teams also have the opportunity to qualify.  Leipzig only need to force a draw with Rangers, because they already have the capital in the 1st leg. But what must be remembered, Rangers have the advantage of playing in front of their supporters, Giovanni Van Bronckhorst will give the best for the residents.

I was also waiting to see more goals in the Leipzig v Rangers match but there was only one. Leipzig performed quite well and Rangers answered them the same too. If Rangers manage to overwhelm their opponent in the rematch, then things can get really interesting. Leipzig can have a hard time resisting Rangers then. They did a great job against Atalanta away before this matchup. But Rangers might not be the same for them so they should play extra carefully.
Playing at home actually Leipzig dominated the match from the start, in fact they were able to create several opportunities that endangered the rangers defense but unfortunately they were not able to take advantage of them well, thus ending the match 1-0, even so I think if Leipzig's game can be as good as that Of course the away influence is not too significant for them in the 2nd leg later, although Rangers might make it difficult for Leipzig later but I hope Leipzig can win the match, in the first leg it was seen that Rangers had an advantage on the counter-attack and Leipzig should be able to be aware of Rangers wing lines, because I saw that Ryan Kent had the pace that was able to trouble the leipzig defense in the first leg yesterday.

In the first leg, Leipzig did beat Rangers, but Leipzig was only able to score the winning goal in the 85th minute, which only 5 minutes the game
will be over. This means that the Rangers defense is quite solid and it is not easy for Leipzig's players to score goals. Even though Leipzig dominated
the match by creating enough chances, but in the end Leipzig were only able to score one goal throughout the match.

In the second leg, Leipzig is still the favorite to beat Rangers, but Leipzig have to be careful, as Rangers at home are usually outstanding. If we look
at Rangers previous matches when playing at home, Rangers can beat Red Star and Braga with a pretty convincing score, so it's not impossible that
Rangers will do the same for Leipzig. So Rangers still have a chance to qualify for the final, I think the Rangers vs Leipzig match is still a surprise.
But like most people I predict that Leipzig will win the match to qualify for the final. Although Leipzig will find it difficult to get a win in the second leg
and face stiff resistance from Rangers, because the possibility Rangers will appear more attacking in the second leg match.

I don't know why you think it's difficult while West Ham can still do it even the second leg is held at Frankfurt home. Indeed West Ham are good favorites after Barcelona lost to Frankfurt, but I don't underestimate Frankfurt's ambition to keep playing well in the Europa League even though they were too bad in the domestic league.

So far the 2-1 loss to Frankfurt has not seen West Ham lose hope, so there is always the possibility of Frankfurt failing to make it to the final even if they have been pretty good so far in the Europa League.
The possibilities for both are still there, but I only see Frankfurt's consistency in the Europa League this time though West Ham are also not too bad in the Europa League and also in their own domestic league.
So it's not about underestimating, but rather about the odds even though in general the odds look the same.
The possibility of a duel between German teams in the Europa League final is very open.  RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt have both bagged wins, these two teams only need to secure a draw in the second leg later in order to ensure themselves appearing in the Europa League final and realizing the all-German final.

I would assume that park the bus is not really a relevant game style anymore, not that it is not used properly when Rangers did it because they had the talent for it, but Leipzig also had a great roster to counter that whenever they wanted to as well. This provides proof that Leipzig could beat Rangers no matter what Rangers do.

So, why do we not all wager on Leipzig with every single funds we have? Because in football anything could happen and maybe it wouldn't be Rangers beating Leipzig but more like Leipzig losing to Rangers. Sometimes teams play much worse than they could, and that is what I fear may happen and that's why I will wager just a small sum.

We are very confident that Frankfurt have secured the final ticket West Ham won't be able to do anything in the second leg even Barcelona can't win there
Now we are just waiting for the winner between Leipzig vs Rangers one of them will be against Frankfurt

The situation with Barcelona was completely different - in the first match (which seemed to be considered not very important since the game is away and there is always a game at home to correct mistakes), a draw was obtained - the usual result for an unimportant match. The disaster happened already when there was no time to correct mistakes - in the decisive game. In the situation with West Ham, everything is different - they are already on the verge of relegation and will now start the return game with an emergency plan right away.

Seeing Ranger at the moment is like watching Villarreal in the Champions League.
Their chances are still there but the chances are so small that they are totally underdogs now.
But even if that is how they have achieved this season they should be proud because even if they failed, this could be their best achievement now being in the semi-finals of the Europa League is not something that many teams in their class can get.

Leipzig - Rangers game was a good and competitive one. As I thought that Leipzig would be the winner, the result didn't surprise me. But it was still a hard-fought 1-0 win at the same time. Leipzig will need to show a more solid performance in the second leg to be able to maintain their advantage. And for the other game of the semi finals, I must admit that I had an expectation like West Ham would win in their home game. But Frankfurt got a really surprising win by 2-1. Actually some people might not find it surprising as they defeated Barcelona away also. But West Ham were more serious about this tournament so it seemed strange to me.

I'm personally quite disappointed to see the result of the Leipzig Vs Rangers match, with the dominance of the game owned by Leipzig they could only score 1 goal from Tasende.

If they don't play consistently like this in the second leg, I'm sure Rangers can turn things around, as did Villarreal who beat Bayern Munich in the second leg.

I didn't expect from Rangers. It's strange to play such an important match in such a style, without much hope of winning. It's better to play an acute-attacking football and lose beautifully than to play so sluggishly and generally not interesting even for your fans.
Considering that the semi-final is already a good result for Rangers, it is unclear why they played so stiffly. Now there is almost no chance for Rangers to go to the next stage.
West Ham theoretically can still compete apparently but with 90% probability there will be a "German" final.

I don't know. They were the severe underdogs, not entirely sure why when they've really still got plenty of firepower options, but perhaps acknowledging that van Brockhorst wanted to take a draw to the Ibrox. Doesn't matter, doesn't change the fact that they need to win and as I did say before, with the title defence probably lost or at risk, a cup final would go a long way to soothe some broken hearts.

Leipzig aren't irresistible as we've seen this season either. Home ML bet on Rangers @5.7 still proper value for me.

I also agree that at this level of competition only a lead of one goal can not be enough for any team. And yes Rangers are a really great team in home conditions. But to be honest I still have my doubts that they will be able to come back against a team like RB Leipzig. But obviously, I cannot be certain of anything because the next leg is going to be a home match for the Rangers. I think they are going to play really attacking in the second leg.

It all seems to point to a German final. But it will not be easy for Leipzig and Frankfurt. Both opponents had chances in the first leg, but luck was not on their side. If Leipzig reaches the final, it will be the second final this year for them. They have already reached the DFB Cup final. I look forward to next Thursday
Well , Rangers on home pitch is a super hard team to beat. We saw this year that no matter how many goals you score to them ( ex BRAGA ) they will simply comeback on home ground and obtain the qualify.
Leipzig only won by 1 goal and to be honest,  it's not enough against Rangers so I don't think and believe that Rangers - Frankfurt will be the finals with maybe Frankfurt winning it as this team is on a roll right now and I doubt anyone can stop them but West Ham proved this Europe Season that they could comeback so don't write them off yet.
