Netherlands - Portugal was best game of EURO so far. Netherlands took early lead by scoring 2 goals in 16 minutes. Portugal managed to make a comeback and made score 2:2. And then Netherlands took a lead again after amazing Danielle van de Donk goal. It was probably most beautiful goal in tournament so far which let Netherlands to win.
Tomorrow Italy - Iceland and France - Belgium.

Sweden vs Swiss
Sweden @1.15
Swiss @19.8
A bit shocked to see the odds for Swiss indeed before this tournament begin Swiss had poor performance even on friendly match they were lose 7-0 from Germany and from their 5 recent matches Swiss never wins so maybe that's why bookmakers giving high odds for them and in the other hand Netherland seems the favourite can beat Portugal

Well the truth is that there is still a huge difference between mens football and womens football in terms of the quality of the different teams. In mens soccer even the small countries are now having a very professional infrastructure to find new talents and to then develop them as best as possible from a pretty early age on. In womens soccer those infrastructures are not as developed or not there at all and afaik a lot of those national players still have to do a regular job besides the football. This is the reason why there is still such a big difference in the quality of the teams even in a tournament like the Euro. That is why we are seeing so many clear results in this tournament.

Quite true that Switzerland have not been impressive in their previous games bur I believe today can be different. The Swiss side have been going through a rough patch and have only managed to draw with Portugal last weekend but hope to come out winners on today's game which may prove difficult tho as Sweden look to defend till the end.

That's interesting. I don't think the difference between Switzerland and Sweden is that large. Yes, Sweden is of course the better team, but I wouldn't say it's that obvious they're goiyto end up winning.

But you never know, Norway ended up losing eight to zero...

Of course I had no doubt from the start that England would beat Norway, but to beat them by such a huge score is just unbelievable. Perhaps the English have decided to show that they are favourites in the World Cup for a reason, and that they have a great footballing team, even the women.
B. Mead and E.White were so impressive their ball controls and confidence was too professional, a hat trick for B. Mead and one assist while 2 goals from E.White. F. Kirby made two wonderful assists . I was expecting an easy win England but the goal margin was too much. England is already topping the group A table and the most favorite.....

I watched this match and was really enjoying the goals that where coming in. The English team over powered the Norwegian ladies. The back defense line for the Norwegian were very uncoordinated and weak which was the major reason the English team found it easier to penetrate and frustrate their keeper. I hope they do something on their back line.

I think England were a bit better than people expected, and Norway were a lot worse than people expected, and these two factors, combined with Norway starting to panic a bit as the goals continued to flow, is what gave such an unexpected result. I'm not sure how it will affect them going forward, will England become a bit over-confident? Betting odds will probably favour England more than should be the case. They're certainly a good side, and a contender for the title, but yes as you say the Norwegian deficiencies definitely played a big part in this result, it wasn't purely England destroying whoever was put in front of them.

Strange that Spain didn't manage to score. In my opinion, the match was even, but the German team got lucky and won the match. If you look at the stats of the game, it's on Spain's side, they had more attacks and the same number of shots on goal. But the realisation of these shots is zero.

I didn't see the game, but I checked the stats. In fact, it's even worse:

Shots 7 - 12
Shots on goal 2 - 3
Ball possession% 30 - 70

And the number of passes from the Spanish national team is twice as much. You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to guess that this was another failed attempt to use TikiTaka. It works against weak teams, but not against strong ones.

It will be interesting to look forward to the remaining matches of Euro 2022 Women's Group B where Germany have already confirmed their qualification for the knockout stages after beating Spain 2-0 and one game remaining will be against Finland who have also confirmed their exit following their 1-0 loss to Denmark. Denmark still have to beat Spain to take them to the runners-up position in the group.
Can Spain follow Germany's footsteps and advance to the knockout stages?

That was the first match of the womens euro that i watched completely and i have to say that Spain would have deserved to score at least 1 goal yesterday i mean they were better in basically all statistics, well except in scored goals which is the only really important one obviously. That being said, i also have to say that Spain also definitely would have deserved to get a red card when the german player was running towards their goal. I was really surprised that the video referee did not intervene there as it was a clear mistake by the referee but ok. Also spain did not have that many clear chances to score so i guess the win for Germany is not that undeserved.

Germany vs Spain both of teams had good results on their first match that Germany won 4-0 from Denmark and Spain won 4-1 from Finland and they are the favourite in group B so i assuming they were equally strong and i think this match will be so tight because whoever the winner of this match will open their chance went to quarterfinal and at the bookmakers Spain slightly favourite but i would like to pick something different because on my predictions final score will be slim so i will try bet for total goals and seems under 2.5 is good with the Odds @1.61
It seems to me that this is a dangerous bet, since in a match between themselves these teams can repeat high performance. Although probably if the bookmakers give such odds, then this forecast has a good justification.
In general, it is a pity that this tournament has such a small news coverage - I found out about it literally here on the forum. I'm not a fan of women's football but it always makes sense to watch a competition of such high status.

This would have been a lot more reliable if it was men's football. But as this is not men's football, I also agree that the randomness of any outcome is most likely to be really high. However, I will say one thing, in my opinion, the women's team in England is doing better than the men's team. That is, at least when compared to what the men's team of England has shown lately.

Germany is winning the game but Spain has more possession of the ball...
Both the male and female teams of Spain play the same kind of football, where they try to hold possession, move the ball around until they find an open goal to score, this tactics is not always favorable, although beautiful to watch but it doesn't ensure winning especially against teams that are very efficient in attack like the German team. You have to try as much to get a goal at least before you start passing comfortably. Congratulations to the German side on their qualification to quarter finals, they were very impressive in defending their early lead especially Marina hegering who was awarded player of the match. Germany have the potential to get to the finals again if they can continue to improve with every performance.

That early Germany goal was big shock. Seems that they weren't ready for such active start. In the ennd of 1st half Germany scored 2nd goal which let to control game.
In 2nd half Spain were more active, Germany gave posession to them, but they weren't able to create many dangerous moments. Loss of Putellas seriously affected Spain.
Sweden - Switzerland and Netherlands - Portugal on Wednesday. Now all 4 teams have 1 point after 1st round, so, it should be interesting.

in psychological terms it must not be easy for them and it can affect them in the next games especially the players who play in the defensive position, they may be pressured because they think that it will be their fault for having conceded many goals

Yeah, you're right.

And also the players playing in the front as well, remember that the score ended with a zero for Norway. That's basically a horrible match for every person in the team, defence, offence, and everything in between...

Halftime

Germany 2 - 0 Spain

germany is winning the game but spain has more possession of the ball and at this rate this game will have more than 2 goals, I believe that spain no longer has a chance to win this game and will be with the same points as the denmark that managed to win Finland. It will be interesting to see between Finland and Spain who will finish in second place. fact and that germany has already secured first place

England winning eight to zero against Norway was something else.

I don't remember seeing any match that ended with that huge difference in the end. Those Norwegian girls must be devastated after that horrible defeat. Not sure how they will come back from that.

Germany and Spain won their opening games convincingly, scoring 4 goals each - a big score - without leaving Finland or Denmark a chance. I think it will be a draw today, but there are bound to be goals from both teams. But I don't think tonight will be anything like England's last game.

tonight at 9 p.m. there will be a duel of the giants at the Brentford Community Stadium in London . spain against germany .
whoever wins this match will almost certainly be in the quarter finals . germany has not yet lost a match against spain .
there have been 6 matches so far. 3 times Germany won and 3 times they drew.
i am really curious who will win today. I bet 3:2 for Germany. Lea Schüller is missing today. she is corona positive.

minute 72 : DEN : FIN  1:0  goal > > Pernille Harder
