But what Germany performed was much better, they have beaten France twice, which had started this tournament together with Spain as the top favorite. Basically, all 3 goals were scored by Germany (while one of them being own goal). The credit to the OG should've gone to the French player to be honest, she hit an amazing volley which went off the bar and hit the German goalie's back and into the goal. Alexandra Popp's name is on the money. She's a fox in the box. Great runs into the penalty area with some quality crosses that she managed to get ahead of the defender twice and scored. Easy to say, Popp pops up into the box at the right time to score. Alexandra Popp looked stunning in this match with her 2 goals which made France unable to do much even though they had more chances.

Both teams deserve to win because they gave their best performance. The French female national team was solid and put a real good fight against the Germans. But Die Nationalelf (Germans) players were physically stronger than the Les Bleues (French). The two goals against the French team was as a result of defensive slackness.
