This is a good development and we expect good fights from now on

With or without bitcoin being used as a bonus, you should always expect that there's a good UFC fight.

How come just because Bitcoin is being used as bonus pay, we can expect good fights from now on? UFC always has a good fight as these fighters don't really mind about that bitcoin bonus as what they are after are those big paychecks in fiat, reputation, and hold titles.

This action by crypto.com is really a different way but for these UFC fighters, it's just another day on their office. Smiley

Do you think the majority of athletes not only from UFC will be happy to accept their bonus by Bitcoin?
It depends on each athlete.
If they want to keep up with the times and join crypto, they will be happy because they will receive their bonus in bitcoins.
While they can receive their income in fiat, they can also have new investments in crypto.
But if some of them don't want to join crypto, they'll want to ask for their bonus in fiat as usual.

I think this is an image event and no one will teach athletes about blockchain, but this is not necessary. Firstly, they have managers to figure it out, and secondly, the main effect of this action is that even more people will learn about cryptocurrencies and some of them will understand this issue.
I'm not sure athletes are not knowledgeable about blockchain even if they live in a technologically advanced country. Even everyone I know, even though they are still technologically savvy but at a glance they already know how crypto works even without anyone teaching them anything about blockchain, the help of google search has shared a lot of knowledge with people all over the world.

Bitcoin bonuses will be awarded to the three standout athletes at each UFC pay-per-view event as voted for by fans across the world.

Crypto.com will be the one to pay the bonus and this will enhance the usage of Bitcoin of course awareness comes to it looking forward to other organizations using Crypto.com services to reward or pay their athletes and officials.

This seems to be one good news now though the site is not that popular to be counted for this case but of course gambling place is one good area for advertising crypto and since UFC is one of the most popular game in sports world now then this initiative will bring favor on all sides of the market, from gambling to investing.
Bitcoin payments will soon adding altcoin as well for the favoring crypto users.

This doesnt only give out bonuses or advantage for UFC fighters but this one also increases exposure with Bitcoin not only for those who know but also it creates curiosity around which do ends up on positive way.

Seems to me that UFC fighters were already aware of Bitcoin. It was surely already mentioned to them prior to this news that crypto.com will give Bitcoin as a bonus payment to them. Those who are not used to receiving Bitcoin or not involved yet in crypto I believed are now well-oriented and there should be no problem with that.

Since the inception of crypto.com, they don't stop interacting with bitcoin to real-world contributing to its mass adoption and awareness about it. In the long run, we might see bitcoin being probably used even for microtransactions (if ever there will be a catch on how to reduce fees).

What's next will they do? Probably surprising and big news that everything will now be paid in Bitcoin to all of their transactions and related businesses.

I don't actually see it as a big deal. It's just a change of payment method. The salary is still in fiat and being paid in bitcoin is a bonus. Maybe something new but not unique as crypto.com already involves crypto in some sports events. I think they already started on the employees of the former Staples center or when they made a partnership with the Sixers' home arena (I might be wrong on the Sixers' part).

But I agree, other companies might follow but since it's crypto.com that initiates it, it's obvious that they will do some ways in the form of crypto payment and nothing else. If some companies outside the operation of crypto will do it, that's what I can call a big deal.

I've heard of this happening before in sports but not every person just those who had elected to do so.   Obviously its sponsorship money so makes sense.   Last I heard was a NFL player taking all their pay in Bitcoin, thats fine if you are already rich but not everyone could or would do this normally.   I think a mix of pay types makes sense, cant see anyone would complain about it really nice deal for both sides of the deal.

They need someone to really teach the athletes to learn the benefits of BTC or just give them the option to receive stabecoin instead. Otherwise the athletes will blame crypto.com if the value of the BTC goes down. Having the stablecoin, they will still have the chance to trade it to BTC when they change their minds. I believe the crypto.com will pay them thru the crypto.com app, right?
I think athletes are not stupid, they must know the volatility of bitcoin price...

I support crypto.com's bold move because it will encourage stronger adoption, UFC is one of the most popular sports, by giving bonuses in the form of bitcoins to athletes, it can help them also invest in Bitcoin.
Yeah, they arent dumb even though there are some which is zero knowledge but its not really that complicated for them to understand on what Bitcoin is plus
having those bonuses in form of Bitcoin is something that is interesting.Who doesnt really love bonus? Doesnt matter on what would be the form of it
as long it would be having monetary value then it would surely be pleasing and interesting.

Definitely, the ones who will receive it will be briefed about it. Crypto.com is the sponsor so there's no surprise that they will give a bonus in terms of crypto. And more than likely, it will be thru their app. They won't give such bonus without any intro or explanation at all. And as crypto is getting good interest among athletes, they will also do their homework how to deal with crypto. They can always convert it to stablecoin if they want to, to prevent volatility issues.

I think this is a great initiative to expand the use of cryptocurrencies. It seems to me that nowadays it does not make any difference in what currency to get salary or bonuses as it is possible to make an exchange to other assets or fiat money in a few minutes. The main task is to provide information to athletes about security measures and storage of cryptocurrencies. But I think that the guys from Crypto.com will easily cope with this task.
Sports is a common thing that can found on every nook and corner. This means people are much attached to it. Anything happening with the sports industry easily reaches common people, because sports is for everyone. The rich watch the games buying tickets whereas the poor watch through television. This creates positive move towards cryptocurrency adoption from the common public.

It's just a bonus, so I don't think they're going to turn it down, and for the reason whether athletes understand crypto or bitcoin or not, most importantly they know bitcoin is valuable.
maybe those who understand will gladly accept it and will keep it because they get it from bonuses not payouts from winnings, and positively it is a great way to introduce bitcoin or crypto to all athletes.
actually this thread fits better in the bitcoin discussion section.
Probably they will all accept it, there is always a option to hold, convert urgently or to study how to trade. This bonuses will be a start before a even or actual sports will reward cryptocurrencies as the main winning prize once major sponsorships came from any exchange or crypto related companies. Any exposure that involves bitcoin or cryptocurrencies to attracts more investors can lead to hype or adoption.

The company Crypto.com has been everywhere lately involved especially with sports,
Quote
Crypto.com enjoys high-profile partnerships with numerous top-tier sports and entertainment properties worldwide, including motor sport, MMA, basketball and ice hockey, as well as football. Most recently, Crypto.com secured a historic naming rights deal in Los Angeles for what is now the Crypto.com Arena and also became the official cryptocurrency exchange and trading platform for the men’s and women’s professional football leagues in Australia.

It's a good involvement and strategy for the company judging from the majority of people that sports attracts. The company must have a very good marketing team and huge budget because after being announced as official sponsors of the world cup, i wasn't expecting them diversifying into the UFC as well, Their aggressive marketing approach reflects a commitment to take over. A win for the company, a win for the crypto community.

Crypto.com is continuously expanding their exposure to every category in sports industry. They are maximizing the power of advertisement. That's actually good for crypto adoption. Not only through investment but also in crypto sports betting platform.
I'm not a huge fan of UFC, but reading this kinda makes me excited about the future of crypto.
Soon, every athletes will know how to use Bitcoin and other alts and how to invest for their retirement plan as well.

5 Digits in BTC every event not their CRO. This adds the motivation to win.

After crypto.com has sponsored their shirts for months, none of these MMA fighters are unaware of cryptocurrency. they'd be glad to consider the BTC as investment. The bonus will make these MMA athletes strive hard to show to win the performance of the night.

Much sure that there are fighters that isnt fully aware on what crypto is and now that they had made out some initiative on adding up some bonuses which is really not part of their contract or something like that
then it is indeed a thing which would motivate out and its not bad on striving just only one out of the 3 positions that they are requiring and amounts that been set isnt really that half bad either.

This method or way does really tend to promote or have some exposure about Bitcoin and not stablecoins. If they would able to recieve bitcoin as a form of bonus then they wont really be complaining
about it because on the time that they would win it then it would be automatically be converted on the time on what the price of bitcoin would be which means that this wont be an issue.
Crypto.com is really that something aggressive when it comes to exposure of its company and together with Bitcoin which is something a really good initiative for the company for fastening up
global adoption and recognition/exposure.They might not have able to pull off that FIFA sponsorship but they are looking for other ways just like having involvement on UFC.
