They need someone to really teach the athletes to learn the benefits of BTC or just give them the option to receive stabecoin instead. Otherwise the athletes will blame crypto.com if the value of the BTC goes down. Having the stablecoin, they will still have the chance to trade it to BTC when they change their minds. I believe the crypto.com will pay them thru the crypto.com app, right?
This method or way does really tend to promote or have some exposure about Bitcoin and not stablecoins. If they would able to recieve bitcoin as a form of bonus then they wont really be complaining
about it because on the time that they would win it then it would be automatically be converted on the time on what the price of bitcoin would be which means that this wont be an issue.
Crypto.com is really that something aggressive when it comes to exposure of its company and together with Bitcoin which is something a really good initiative for the company for fastening up
global adoption and recognition/exposure.They might not have able to pull off that FIFA sponsorship but they are looking for other ways just like having involvement on UFC.
