I pm'd ghostlander about whether c-cex should have any problems sending us back our coins pre or post fork and he said;

"they can update their wallet after the fork and send coins to all holders. If they don't, it's a scam".

We cannot let c-cex try and fleece us like this.

c-cex have missed another date they promised to return my delisted ufo's by. Anyone else in the same boat keep the pressure up on them via the support tickets or a fear they will steal them as other's have reported before.

Hope it will work.

I have been telling the c-cex support all along since before UFO hard fork about 2 weeks ago that they may need to have UFO wallet updated; otherwise, the withdrawal of UFOcoin might not work.

What I could not understand is that if they leave the UFOcoin  at the c-cex open for withdrawal longer ( just like what the other exchange sites do) we could do the withdrawal ourselves, before any wallet update and save them and all of us these troubles.

The last message I got today is that they are busy ( with rising volumes and server upgrades) and the planned August 4-5 were only "tentative" date.  And I can expect my "coins to be sent within  ~48hrs."

I do not remember if my UFOcoin wallet address to receive those coins was provided to them when I sent withdrawal request after the delist. It is unclear if the UFOcoins would be open for withdrawal or they will send them over. In either way, I gave them the receive address just to be sure.

All these troubles overshadow the benefit of cryptocurrencies' fast transactions as compared to the present dates of transferring fund to or from a bank account.

Again, I wish everything would turn out well.

Bad news again, the C-Cex tech team is having difficulties getting the UFO wallet syncing to return ours "delisted" UFO coins.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the most recent message I got
"
2014-08-10 16:49:26 C-CEX support
Hello! We have problem syncing UFO wallet. Our current block is 160997 and it is not going up. We just updated wallet from source, made full resync and again, we are at 160997 block. Off. blockchain shows >191 blocks: http://ufo.cryptocoinexplorer.com

If we are at wrong fork You will not receive coins. Also, there is no public nodes. Looks like we have to wait untill UFO dev fixes this problems."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have reminded them of the 0.8.7.1 Mandatory Update for the UFOcoin wallet

all along, even long before the hardfork.

you're not getting offers because those are ripoff prices.

correct! u shouldnt trade your ufos atm. give them half a year or more. think there will be much going on then with ufo coin

Yes, UFOs should be quite hopeful.

I am the one who picked a few UFOs at around 400 satoshi (just to make a point) when C-Cex opened UFOs trading 1-2 months ago and I subsequently picked up a few M UFOs at rock bottom price (not knowing that UFOs was being immediately delisted).  I would not even want to sell it in any significant amount until it is about 1000 satoshis (or more than 10000 satochis.)

...........................When the UFO NeoScrypt started .......................................................................
UFOs has a better (universal) appear in name than the Aliencoins (which has a recent come-back-up in price) , let alone the other coins (DOGE, Cats, Panda, Spider, Turtles, etc.). Think about one day if you could flip a do-it-yourself-preloaded card with UFOcoins to purchase a UFO-promoted health/or space-age lines of food at a local cafeteria or a cafeteria at work. A crypto wallet could have such a build-in functions to create a card with such functions without/with a merchant to do the job(?) ( See examples of a card for Fiat coin payment: https://my.freedompay.com/MyFreedompay/index.aspx) Just a thought.

In anyway, I have yet to go home to find out whether the coins that C-cex owes me have been transferred to my UFOcoin wallet as promised. Not until then, I would be afraid of trading at the other sites;

............................. wait, I did deposit a small amount of BTC and a couple M of UFOs at the alcurEx; did not want to start trading until this day coming; The exchange site does not look like open? ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=459909.40 )

Hopefully, the alcurEx will come back open very soon.   Wink

There have been too much casualties in this cryptocurrency world. Cheer up.

I hate to say it but the fair exchanges allow for a considerable period of time folks to withdraw their funds. I hear about "refund window dates" for the first time and it sounds like bs to me... I hope that you will get refunded and urge folks to stay within a safe distance from that exchange

If anyone is looking to setup their own p2pool node I have just added the settings to this github repository:
https://github.com/Spekske/p2pool-spek

With p2pool you can run your own node instead of connecting to any central pool, all nodes together combine hashingpower to solve blocks, so essentially it offers the best of both worlds, it feels like solo-mining on your own node but it offers the advantage of a pool by exchanging data between nodes. For your node to operate correctly you will need to open p2pool's p2p port 18720 for UFO on your firewall, this will enable communication between nodes. If you want to run your node as a full public node for others to connect too you will also need to add workerport 19720 to you firewall.

If you have any questions please feel free to drop me a note. My UFO p2pool node is up and running at http://dutchpool.org:19720

Hi all ! I have just launched our first UFO p2pool node at http://dutchpool.org:19720

Feel free to use it and if you are interested in running your own p2pool node just drop me a note and I'll give you the settings to get one running. As you all probably know (or maybe not) p2pool is the ONLY protocol that actually exchanges mining information between nodes, so unlike all other pool software it combines the hashingpower of all connected nodes and all nodes together essentially form the pool. Payments are directly from the network into the miners wallets, that is also a feature non of the other pool software has. If you want to read a bit more about p2pool please check this: https://coinaxis.com/index.php/reviews/entry/p2pool-why-it-is-important
But... where is the GPU miner?
UFO is still scrypt, so you can mine it with bfgminer of cgminer, or any scryptminer.
