Folks,

CCminer (ccminer-1.6.3-git-tpruvo) has been confirmed to work with stratum, ie pooled mining, but for solo mining, it has to be updated to use getblocktemplate instead of getwork. So, if you want to mine UFO with NVIDIA cards, you are restricted to pooled mining only for the time being, which I think, is no drama Wink

Thanks for the info.
Please let us know when the new ccminer is  available.

no answer from DEV in 2 days about the issues with the new wallet or solo mining. Thanks for the quick response. Selling all my UFO, already stopped mining.. good luck with the bleak future if this is how things are going to be handled.

I'm in contact with @UFOCoins on twitter.
He will check for an update of ccminer that support wallet 10 and post it here.
He couldn't test cause he doesn't have nvidia card.
NSgminer is for AMD.

Folks,

We have made this post to get you started with mining in 0.10+ codebase. Check it out here: https://ufocoin.net/2017/12/04/mining-in-0-10-codebase/

solo mining still not working with new wallet. My conf was set up the same before the switch and it matches your conf in the OP. I even set up your miner the same, still wont work. My ports are open, no firewall to block in/out. connection refused, cant find work, etc.. yes wallet is open

Same here; "connection refused"

and also wont work with any CCMiner, even set up the way I solo other coins or have with UFO prior.. this is real disappointing.. will now have to stop mining UFO

Same at my side, i stopped mining ufo.

Hello all,

Is it possible to find some detailed instructions on how to set up mining on nsgminer?  I tried to use it but I am not sure what to do with the ufocoin.conf and config.conf files..

I did create two txt files but when I renamed them into .conf files I was double clicking on them and the nsgminer would start and close immediately after.

Any ideas anyone?

Thank you!

UPDATE:

I managed to connect to miner-control.de and I am getting an average of 370kH/s with one AMD R9 280X at a consumption of 260W approximately.

Do these values sound good or could the consumption be reduced?

Thanks!

UFO 0.10 has been updated to leave Assembly disabled by default, if you are having trouble compiling then pull the latest changes to your repo, run autogen, configure and make clean. On a brand new Ubuntu 16.04.3 server with the latest UFO 0.10 I followed these steps to compile the client, this includes more packages than are strictly needed but some will come into play on later version.

Code:
add-apt-repository ppa:bitcoin/bitcoin
apt update
apt upgrade
apt install pkg-config build-essential libtool autotools-dev autoconf libssl-dev libboost-all-dev libdb4.8-dev libdb4.8++-dev libminiupnpc-dev git bsdmainutils python3 libevent-dev libzmq3-dev
git clone https://github.com/Bushstar/UFO-Project.git
cd UFO-Project/
./configure --without-gui --with-miniupnpc
make
strip src/ufod
strip src/ufo-cli
strip src/ufo-tx

I've also used the above change in the code to compile the client with assembly support with.

Code:
./configure --without-gui --with-miniupnpc --enable-asm --enable-static --disable-shared

The proof that assembly is compiled in comes when you run the client with the message. The following of course requires SSE2 support which is enabled by default but will show as disabled without assembly.

Code:
SSE2 optimisations enabled

Same here.

Code:
usr/bin/ld: ../src/leveldb/libleveldb.a(db_impl.o): relocation R_X86_64_32S against `_ZTVN7leveldb12SnapshotImplE' can not be used when making a shared object; recompile with -fPIC
../src/leveldb/libleveldb.a: error adding symbols: Bad value

I came across this one yesterday while updating a server.  I ended up removing neoscrypt_asm.S from src/Makefile.am, deleting the two lines containing ASM from configure.ac and changing fPIC to fPIE in the same file.

fPIC is needed for the assembly file but causes trouble in 0.10. I'll update the source to leave ASM disabled by default.

Something else worth trying before the above is the following, I did try this yesterday but got a Boost error at link time and removed ASM support instead.

Code:
./configure --disable-shared --enable-static

You may also get a better result using the standard dependencies that come with the project as follows.

Code:
// 64bit Linux
cd depends
make HOST=x86_64-linux-gnu
cd ..
./configure --prefix=`pwd`/depends/x86_64-linux-gnu
make

Code:
// 32bit Linux
cd depends
make HOST=i686-pc-linux-gnu
cd ..
./configure --prefix=`pwd`/depends/i686-pc-linux-gnu
make

As said I'll update the source to avoid errors out of the box.

Guys, you can check the profitability of the coin at https://www.crypto-coinz.net/crypto-calculator/

@Op - can you please also release a Linux daemon wallet on GitHub?

Got problems compiling?

Check out the OP for info on mining with 0.10.0

What does that mean? Cryptic message not helping at all.
