Here is another user trying to scam people by asking them for donation to Ukrainians.
kanab4eg has made the same post in 12 different threads and will probably make more posts until he gets banned.

do you think that money that they reiceved will be enough to rebuild country detroyed by war - infrastructure, economy and etc.
@LTU_btc, that's a different story, if it is said to restore infrastructure, facilities, economy and so on that have an impact on war, money we are talking about today donations from the Bitcointalk forum for ukraine from irresponsible members aka scams, if the donation is officially like the address published by @DaveF, I don't think it's a problem, the bottom line: for today, assistance continues to grow from various parties both from companies and foreign countries, for example Binance is also participating in donations for ukraine.

I mean, humanitarian donations are currently coming from various parties for ukraine, if I'm not mistaken a total of 41,167,336 ukraine residents in 2022 were recorded, if the aid is right on target, there will be no corruption by certain parties, with the help I see it is sufficient for their needs in the future.

As far as I know, a country that is peaceful/independent from war, to repair damaged facilities, economy and so on, the state has another budget to repair damaged infrastructure.
bottom line: each country, has a different way of repairing the damage caused by war, you can read the history of countries like: Afghanistan, Iraq, Russia, Ukraine, Chechnya or a former Soviet Union country and others.

I remind the community in this forum, ukraine does not need funds, they have billions of funds that have been donated by other countries.
UK provides Ukraine with $120 million in financial aid
World Bank ready to provide financial aid to Ukraine amid Russian invasion.
Council adopts €1.2 billion assistance to Ukraine

This amount of funds, if they are not corrupt, is sufficient to meet the needs of the Ukrainian people in the next 1 year.
Ok, Ukraine don't need for more money because YOSHIE decided that they got enough. But even if they survive war, do you think that money that they reiceved will be enough to rebuild country detroyed by war - infrastructure, economy and etc.

The address was originally posted by an old twitter account that claims to be the official account of the Ukrainian government, and I have no reason to suspect it isn't.  The address was posted by that account over 48 hours ago, and the fact that it's still up also makes me think it's legit.
And this address was reposted by some high rank Ukrainian officials, so, for me there isn't many resons to believe that it may be not legit.

Honestly, I'm still skeptical about making bitcoin donations.  I am also not in any hurry to donate to the Ukrainian government for a variety of reasons.  I am inclined to donate to humanitarian efforts, but I don't want my donations used for any military purposes.
That's understandable. If you don't want to donate for military purposes, you can donate to provide help to war refugees for example.

Along with @ETFbitcoin, I had also had conversations with interiawp. They were perpetually trying to figure out ways to unlock some outputs from the blockchain whose transactions were non-standard and therefore couldn't be accepted from the network.

But looks like the real reason he made those posts is to build reputation for scam attempt, what a shame.
I doubt they wanted to build reputation, they just had an account spared and chose to earn the most they could that way. They were looking shady anyways.

I just reported a post from a newbie >  1of16.game when I thought that the link he posted as one of those trying to scam ppl but it turns out that it's legit. I apologies to the guy here, but I never heard of www.binance.charity before. It was weird that the guy last post was from 2017 and then came back yesterday to ask for moderators help. So I quickly assumed that is just spam/scam.

Here's the deleted posts.

I remember this user made some good posts and i sent few merits to him[1]. But looks like the real reason he made those posts is to build reputation for scam attempt, what a shame. Now he delete all almost all of his posts and edit other post with title/body "del".

Not your fault. There are people here with different interest. They may look legitimate but they won't leave the opportunity to scam if they get a chance. To build up another new account does not take much if one knows how to manipulate the system and earn merit from other members. Merit fishers are everywhere.

The address 3CcF942kYVRotGrfYQxD4QNn4aKVywpRxb belongs to an exchange

I think you're right.

The address was originally posted by an old twitter account that claims to be the official account of the Ukrainian government, and I have no reason to suspect it isn't.  The address was posted by that account over 48 hours ago, and the fact that it's still up also makes me think it's legit.

According this post, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Austria has confirmed that the address is indeed controlled by the Ukrainian government.

The address 3CcF942kYVRotGrfYQxD4QNn4aKVywpRxb belongs to an exchange, more like a hot wallet, so I am certain the past scams used it for exchanging the stolen Bitcoin.

The name of the exchange is Kuna.io, a Ukrainian crypto exchange. What I think is happening is that the Official donation address was created from that very exchange, so sent Bitcoins are being automatically spent off to the hot wallet like most exchanges usually do.

Yeah, that's what I thought too.

When I searched WalletExplorer.com for additional information about that address, I saw that it was part of an extremely active wallet along with more than 700 other addresses: https://www.walletexplorer.com/wallet/0001973d1acf52ac/addresses

But how do you know it is a Kuna.io exchange? Is there a way to confirm this information?

Flagged: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;flag=2916

The thing is 3CcF942kYVRotGrfYQxD4QNn4aKVywpRxb had been reported as owned by a scam company since Aug 5, 2021, does this address belong to scammer?
Huh, now that's interesting--I didn't even know sites like bitcoinabuse.com existed.  However, with respect to that donation address and the complaints I see on the site, there's no proof of any wrongdoing and the site looks very much like the one that had that huge smear against Vod a long time ago (I can't remember what it's called, but basically anybody can post anything about anyone with zero evidence).

I'd hope that an address like that, which has received over $4m and has a current balance of over $600k, doesn't belong to a scammer.  If it does, I'd like to know what kind of scams they're pulling off.  I doubt they'd be charity scams, but I suppose it's possible.

Looks like that addy has received a ton of bitcoin already....hope it's spent wisely.
To be honest I'm not really sure, the donation address (357a3So9CbsNfBBgFYACGvxxS6tMaDoa1P) is spent to this address multiple times (3CcF942kYVRotGrfYQxD4QNn4aKVywpRxb)

357a3So9CbsNfBBgFYACGvxxS6tMaDoa1P to 3CcF942kYVRotGrfYQxD4QNn4aKVywpRxb for 1.47699164 BTC

Take care of humanitarian needs if you can. People will start running out of food and essentials very quickly.
Call me completely misanthropic, but I've never once donated any money to people in crisis in my city, state, or even country.  There's no way in hell I'm sending any crypto to a newly-formed charity (or even an established one) for people I've never given a thought to my life and whose situation I can't assess directly--I certainly don't trust what I see on the news.  Who knows what these charities do with the money they receive?

I'm not even in a bad mood.

Good job outing these scamming assholes, Dave.  I'm going to take a look and support your negs and flags.  And yes, to those who haven't been on the forum for long, this is what we have to deal with every time there's a big news story about some sort of crisis.  I can't remember what the last one was, but it was probably over a year ago.  If you see any member posting a bitcoin or any other crypto address for donations, just report it to the mods as begging.

The addresses setup by the Ukrainian government are (at least as of now)
https://twitter.com/Ukraine

Now, a lot of news that is created on social networks is an information war against Russia. And many, many things do not correspond to reality.
I am not a citizen of Russia, and thank God I am not Ukrainian, but I know Russian, so I can say that everything that is presented in the European segment does not correspond much to what is happening.
War is always a misfortune and a tragedy, but we all know that for many people war is a means of gain. Now many marauders have received weapons in their hands, they have no nationality, the main thing for such people is their profit from the misfortune of the peoples.
Therefore, it would be right to conclude without trusting feelings. Since it is natural for any normal person to reject violence, at this time one can easily fall into the clutches of scammers. Be carefully.

From the start he made my topic suspicious and suspicious of @interiawp, he made the same 12 topics about help for ukraine, I also warned him in one of his deleted topics.

Luckily @DaveF acted quickly, otherwise we might see money donated by people for him used for personal gain, this is very annoying to take advantage of other people's suffering, maybe we have taken examples from donations that have happened here which ended up being private in the name of humanity or the virus.

Good work. This interiawp is real scamer

What kind of bastard it have to be to profit from the misfortunes of others
Looks like the same thing with you, taking advantage of the situation.

I’ve read the recent tweet from Ukraine’s account and its legit though it raises some concern about getting scammed since many are already posting the same thing with different address details. Its good OP that you find this people, they deserve karma because of this.
