For someone new to this forum, going through all the signatures and finding the similarities in design would not even be an afterthought especially since we hired someone, they cheated us. The service provider's telegram handle does not even exist anymore. They said they were an experienced member and even shared their profile link I am told. But now the chat records are empty. So they are not even available for a refund claim. That is a risk we know we have to take when hiring someone online. And sadly we fell for the oldest trick in the book.
Since you made a transaction with that person, i would like you to share the transaction details and there are people who are good enough to catch these scammers in the forum if your story is genuine as the things you are saying does not makes much sense, someone contacting you at random and without checking their work you hand over things on how to move forward with your advertisement and it all shows your lack of management skills as a company.

Hope you will not say that you cannot provide a transaction ID.

Hi All,

I was just told about this thread today. My name is Steve and I am representing BitDeer for BitcoinTalk (along with other communities). Whatever they've done in the past, I'm here to make sure it doesn't get repeated. We're gonna keep it clean and just be here to service the community who are users for BitDeer and also make announcements about the service. I'll admit, I'm not an old member of BitcoinTalk, but I can read and have serviced many communities in the past. If there are any questions or concerns, just DM me. Thanks.

Steve

I've been in your community on Telegram for a while Steve, I have seen the way you manage the community there and I have no doubt that you would be a great representative for Bitdeer here on the forum. Sad that Bitdeer could not get the mods to take their appeal seriously enough in any case, I cannot comment on why that is the case.

If you need any help, my doors are always open for you.

Seeing how this train isn't moving and with no moderator responding, we find ourselves in a pinch where we have no way forward or backward.

Hence we would like to hire a representative here on Bitcointalk that could work on gig basis to help us conduct campaigns on this forum and reach out to the community and address any consumer queries. Basically be our representative and do what we would have done if we were allowed to be here.

Please DM me if anyone is interested.

I have messaged Theymos, hilariousandco, and Cyrus about our unban appeal. But I have not received any word from any one of them saying whether our case would be reviewed, or if our appeal is even under consideration.

I understand the admins are busy and have a lot of work and addressing a single appeal from a single account will take some time. But we would like to run advertisements and promotions here all the while engaging with the community.

Without getting the go-ahead from the admins and moderators, that would become a hard thing to do, if not impossible.

So if any admin or moderator is seeing this message, please let us know if we can go ahead and use this account.

Although we appreciate the individual opinions that are being posted here, we would like to receive an official direction from the moderators or the admins here. Without that, we cannot begin to fruitfully engage this community in a way that is expected of us.

This is quite interesting. It seems the company hired not very smart people to do their job when they launched in 2018. And now that they realize their mistake, they have come clean. I have seen people get away with worse things on this forum so I don't know why anyone would have problem digesting the story being put in front here by bitdeer.

Since bitdeer is chinese, I wouldn't expect them to be aware of the small details of this forum either. I think the company has hired some new help which is resulting in them trying to clean up their act. Which is good. I will watch this thread and see where it goes. Never tried bitdeer before but it wouldnt hurt to try since they are associated with bitmain.

Question for OP, Do you avail banner design service to one of the Banner designer here in the forum? If yes then I understand your. Some designer here shows there previous work to their customer so that they will have idea on what the customer preferred design. I'm no expert on plagiarism case but if the designer itself use the same template then revise it base on what the customer preferred then I think it's justifiable.

Be patient and honest. Moderators here are very considerable as long as you are showing cooperation for change to them. If ever they give you second chance. Make sure to hire reputable member here as your company representative so that your image will not gonna be a clown again just like what you did on your previous blatantly spamming on different mining threads with your company name.

About the plagiarised design, we hired someone who gave us this banner ad and we went with it. We even paid them good money to create the banners.

The solution is simple.  Provide the name of this scammer so no one else gets scammed and HE/SHE can be banned.

Or, if you have PMs from this scammer, use the "Report to Moderator" button.

That was my first reaction as well. But you need to see this response where I clarified the situation.

This isn't the first time I've given this advice to a company that has run afoul of the rules. You should consider hiring a Community manager, not some local or even a current employee. An established member of this forum that understands the rules and will assist you in promoting your business within that vein.

Yes, but none of that will happen unless we get permission to stay and use this forum. We are already suffering now by having picked a forum member to work for us, we are not looking to repeat that mistake. We want to have stricter control over the quality of content and interaction being put out of this account.

I remember the discussion around the Ad at the time as I posted there. It definitely had nothing to do with the Banner, as this was theymos's response posted by lightlord
~snip~

I tried, if those are considered not the same, then I don't know what is considered the same.

Thank you for bringing those 2 accounts to my attention, and thank you for your opinion.

If they were actually created by us then that is a clear case of ban evasion. But I am sure this all because of the lack of knowledge and the importance of this forum. Something my employer has now grown to understand and appreciate. We are being straightforward about the situation. No sob stories or excuses, just facts.

No one has to place their trust in us, just give us the benefit of the doubt and let us be a part of this community. If we squander it, I am sure we can be booted again.

Going forward we would like this account to be the main representative of BitDeer.com and we need a moderator's or admin's permission for that. And I humbly request for the same.

Again, I am not sure what the staff member had in their head when they were creating all those accounts, I wasn't aware of their existence either.
It seems all of them were created prior to the account that got banned. And they have posted no content from those accounts.

That's because the accounts have been nuked (banned and all posts deleted).

A couple more of your unruly employees:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/bitdeerofficial-2528729
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/bitdeerrun-2528931

It's hard for me to believe your sob story and your assurances if you can't even control your "staff". But I'm not a moderator so maybe you'll get lucky.

For Point 1 and 2

Thank you for clarifying the reason for the ban.
Can you please guide me now what can be done to get out of this ban situation? I am not sure who the particular staff member was that was handling the account back then. They were obviously unaware of the basic etiquette and rules of engagement on an online forum like this.

However, we would like to move past that issue and create a clean and honest image of us over here. So please guide us.

Point 3.

Again, I am not sure what the staff member had in their head when they were creating all those accounts, I wasn't aware of their existence either.
It seems all of them were created prior to the account that got banned. And they have posted no content from those accounts.

So I'm not sure if the existence of those accounts can be seen as ban evasion.

To the best of my knowledge, this account I am posting from is the only account that was created post the Ban of this account: https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/bitdeercom-2509476 And this is done to make a ban appeal.

Considering all that has been said now. I'd like to add that we're a company that is offering the Bitcoin community a platform to share Computing power. It is very important for people to post honest reviews about our site and express their trust or distrust regarding our business. Without a proper presence on Bitcointalk, that cannot happen.

So, I humbly seek your permission to move forward and engage with this community outside of the Meta section using this account that I am posting from. I can assure you, there will be no unsolicited advertising or garbage posts from us going forward.

You probably wasn't banned for possible plagarism of a forum ad. All I could find in the staff section was this:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/bitdeercom-2509476 — BitDeer.com

1. Posting unsolicited advertisements in unrelated topics.

This is from the topic I am just Dumping all my altcoins! in Altcoin Discussion:

So you need to focus on mainstream coin bitcoin.
Try cloud mining on bitdeer.com for earning more bitcoins if any is interested.

This was from mikeywith's topic My "mini" mining farm in Mining:

This was from krisgt30's topic My small (but growing) mining farm in Mining:

This was from Steamtyme's topic First time/Small miner reference for getting started. in Mining support:

try bitdeer.com for cloud mining.

This was from Theboyz12's topic My antminer s9 don't recognize Please help. in Mining support:

True. Bitdeer.com is providing T15.

2. Posting garbage.

This was from buwaytress's topic BetterHash Mining Protocol BIP in Mining:

I was attracted by the subject. Wondering what's kind of mining is it?

3. Ban evasion.

There are currently three banned accounts that are linked to BitDeer.com:

Thank you Legendster and Deathwing. For your support and opinion respectively.

You are not required to be expert of bitcointalk, reading the forum rules require having knowledge on English only.

Does the forum rule dictate that not knowing something is a bannable offense? Or is it that being duped into believing that we are buying original design is also our fault?
Sure, I admit, whoever was handling the account back then, was in fact unaware of all the nitty-gritty of this forum and its rules, but I am sure that person did not want to plagiarize some content and then pay money to advertise here. We as a company do not care about cutting corners for a few bucks.

And from what I understand, this forum has had hundreds of signature campaigns and banner ads displayed. How are we supposed to check for plagiarised design work, if we did not have the experience of using this forum in the past? Besides, it is not text, that we could just run it on copyscape or any plagiarism checker and know if it is an original design or not. To check that, we need experience or intel, neither of which we possessed at the time.

People that are more experienced in this forum or the moderators could have informed us of the matter, we would have certainly taken actionable measures. But instead, the account was banned without us even contending the matter.

We are not here to point fingers and we will not do that as I feel that is not important. We are here to mend an honest mistake that was made because of the lack of our experience in this forum. We would appreciate some official voice letting us know what we can do henceforth and would request the same.

That should enable us to forge a strong presence in this forum and engage with the community here responsibly - without being exiled from here completely.

No to both, but think of from the moderation team's perspective, how would they know this? They are possibly checking hundreds of accounts per day for similar violations. They're humans too.

Browsing through Services section should help you greatly, you can see the signature campaign threads and check what they have included, what is their signature code etc. Although you may not be able to check about five hundred different signatures, you will definitely find one or two similar in the end. However, the main point is that if you are hiring someone to do the signature creation for your website/project you should be sure about their reputation. It's very, very easy to edit a BBCode of another campaign to make it look like yours, which appears to be the case here.

People that are more experienced in this forum or the moderators could have informed us of the matter, we would have certainly taken actionable measures. But instead, the account was banned without us even contending the matter.

As I mentioned in the first paragraph, the mods deal with hundreds of accounts every single day. Imagine if every single account were given a chance to explain themselves on outright plagiarism as your signature had in the first place. The backlog would be enormous. Plagiarism is a really serious offence here on Bitcointalk.

For someone new to this forum, going through all the signatures and finding the similarities in design would not even be an afterthought especially since we hired someone, they cheated us. And I get your point. No one is robot here and that is our point too. We are not robots behind these accounts. We are people and we are not omnipresent. We make mistakes. In this case, we were cheated. We feel terrible for unknowingly violating a rule which is not just standard for this internet forum but for any place you go to do business. If you cannot spend to create original marketing material then you should not be marketing at all.

And we are not pointing fingers for what was legitimately our mistake. We just want to do what's right here and conduct ourselves in the same manner.

Whom did you pay for the design? Is that designer from bitcointalk? Please enclose some more details like where you purchased the design, username etc. It would certainly help you restore the account if it is proved that you were not aware about BitVest design used here.
