It's still Christmas in some parts of the world so Merry Christmas.

About the "cryptocurrencies are about to be brought under government supervision", are you referring to the FATF travel rule? It's the latest attempt by authorities to "regulate" the crypto market by requiring crypto exchanges collect and record customer information related to crypto transactions. I've opened a discussion about this before and you can read it here https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/fatf-travel-rule-and-privacy-coins-5186577

Do you think that anonymous coins have a future in this case?
The FATF rule forced some exchanges to delist anonymous and privacy coins but that didn't stop these coins from getting listed in other exchanges. The way I see this now, the demand for coins like Monero will increase as the government tries to regulate the entire crypto market.
TThanks for sharing,Do you know Monero's TPS? It is difficult to reach the current transaction scale of BTC, so it may be difficult to popularize on a large scale.

Yes they can exist with certain modifications and rules stated by the regulators but then again they need to accept and follow all the requirements of the regulators otherwise they may end up closing the project due to non compliance.

If government can fully control cryptocurrencies why are they trying to build their own digital currencies? Why is china and central bank aiming for separate coin for their people? Of course they have no control here, bitcoin is decentralized and so are many coins, anonymous coins are designed not to be tampered with or control, that is a good real use case don't you think?
Governments just want to use technology, they have a hard time controlling decentralized currencies
Do you have any evidence that the government will control cryptocurrencies?
As far as I know from the very first days when cryptocurrencies appeared on the market, governments wanted to control it but they didn't succeed. Cryptocurrency users are ubiquitous in the world and there is no government that can control them.
you are right. They have no control, so they figure out ways to ban cryptocurrency transactions

Hello everyone and Merry Christmas! According to the current situation, cryptocurrencies are about to be brought under government supervision. Do you think that anonymous coins have a future in this case? How should we choose, thank you for your proposal

Really? I'm not sure if this will pursue cause probably many projects will not agree to this. They cant enforce as they please what they wanted to happen in crypto space. If this happened, then some will probably abort their ongoing projects, why? Of course some legit one prefer the decentralized approach and dont want to be handle by this smug that only goal is to impose an added tax for their benefit.

Anonymous coins are threat to the government, they can't have control over them and that is what these coins are created for, go dark with full privacy, this is their real use case and to be honest government destroys many lives in the past as we know it which is why I think privacy coins will always have a chance of survival

I do but that will be used by personality and will never be adopted institutional or companies. It has a bright future when it comes to the private usage to securing or store your money without the possibility for others to trace your coins or money.
The anonymous tech will always exist even crypto will be brought under the government.

There are many demands for anonymous coins. So it has space to develop in the future
But, the demand is *usually* for bad thing such as money laundering, ilegal buying, etc

I think, goverment would never give this coin type to be develop. It can harm to many people
But, once again. This is crypto. Goverment isnt too easy to stop this one.

No, of course. Anonymous coins are anonymous coins. Take the anonymous from what, what is left? They are nothing. Their banner feature is its anonymity. That is what they market and promote, that is what people are interested about, and that is the main reason why people are using that particular coin. So if they lose that, they will become a useless coin. That is why they will never allow that. They will go dark most probably.

oh? i missed the memo it seems Cheesy       what makes you say crypto's are being regulated?
i mean maybe one could argue that its been slowly happening for years, i could agree with that, but honestly?
it NEEDED it.  Crypto has become something, i think like most things, thats NEEDS regulation.   Years of lawlessness, has left many with a sour taste for crypto
People are scamming left and right, and there seems to be no established standards anywhere : /   i never thought i'd welcome government involvement, but i kinda do : /
