OP, I appreciate for the post but you have not said anything that has not been stated here before. I think one important thing to be considered in a post should be conveying the main message to the readers then other things can follow. Every writing should be well structured in such a way that after the message is conveyed there will be room for more conversations and interesting dialogues.

[

The writing skill of people are decreasing nowadays. There are no many people that wants to be professional writers, rather they want to be content creators. Video and audio is making more waves in the social media. I have read somewhere a user suggested that there should be a patch script to accept audio in the forum. If such a thing gets implemented in the future, you will understand that not many people will like to type anyone, rather they will prefer audio or voice note.
I would not take anything away from video creators even though I think you have a point from the fact that lots of people don't want to write anymore, and that has to do with the consumers interests and not from the producers, people are shying away from reading, the Library is the less popular place in the city and the gaming zone, cinemas just to mention a few are hot spots that's to tell your people's interests that's why content creators and the rest are taking the advantages but regardless the do lots of writing behind the camera's to make it perfect if not them doing the work then their production team.
I dont think people are shying away from reading, the only thing is that people are now more interested in listening to audio books instead of paper books. We are in the digital world so if you would want to retain your customers then you have to digitalize any thing your doing. When it comes to reading even blog sites like medium has an audio button for listening articles and blogs.

Is this another newbie teaching snr members thread? I mean your article is not well formatted, yet you are teaching about post writing.

Yes, most likely this is the case, as much as we wanted newbie to post threads, but most of the time there are newbies who try to give us advise and majority of them looks very wrong to the point that we are thinking that they are just merit fishing here.

As for the writing skills, this community is huge, and I will tell that majority here are not native English speakers. And yet we've grown tremendously since the beginning and I think the most important thing is that anyone can relay their message here and that we understand what the thread started is saying.

One of the instructions that the website OP got the information he used for his work is to read the instructions of the forum before writing. OP I suggest you spend more time on the forum to learn. Apart from reading the rules observation is also important. Take out time to observe how members write quality posts. You can study how they format and present their work.

You don't have to prepare for a week to create a post, you don't have to make sure there's no grammatical error in your post, you don't have to make sure your post is consist at least 1000 characters, you don't have to be certified Bitcoin enthusiast or blockchain analysis to post etc.

The key is, you only need to write and click post, that's all.

As long as you not commit plagiarism, no need to worry.
Writing a perfect post that is void of spelling or grammatical errors is commendable but what matters is to present a post that members can read and understand the information it intends to convey. I don't think anybody will be penalized for not writing in proper Queens English. But this shouldn't be an excuse to publish poorly written posts constantly.

I don't think most members here think the forum is for daily news updates. Apparently, the forum isn't a news channel or some kind of an online news publication or magazine. From the name itself, this is obviously a place where things are discussed, not just what's been happening recently.

You also don't have to complicate your post depending on your audience. For as long as the topic is posted in the correct section or board, you can expect that it's already directed to the right audience.
This place is certainly not a newspaper update, most of the discussions here are just people trying to share information and so doing educate themselves and I personally feel one doesn't need to plan out a post before posting, just try and make what you are trying to share readable even if it's a question you asking. For communication to take place two parties must understand each other so don't over think yourself when wanting to post something here, just drop and the response will come but make sure follow up with the conversation because you can learnt alot from these discussions as the forum is filled with different sets of mindset

As a beginner, I think you don't need to complicate things if you wanted to open a thread or something. Just ask questions and that's it. Your audience is the whole bitcointalk community, so everything is of the same level, whether beginners or experts here, they will answer you question in their right way.

So again, when I'm writing thread, my goal is to share what I got and for sure there will be some that will reply that can broaden the subject matter itself. But don't overthink about it, just saying.

This is not a newspaper or a country where daily updates will be given. It is like a university. And there are many rules and regulations for posting in here. If you think these things are helpful then use the local board. And if you think so.

If you have used the text in your page or merit bar then you are also the biggest idiot. I didn't find any help here.

OP I appreciate your good intention to share the knowledge you have and share the link, but before posting it try to look again at how your post is written.
I apologize in advance and I hope you are not offended because I think your post to be a bit messy in its preparation and format, I assume you were too hasty to post your thread without reviewing what you wrote.
The information you want to convey may not be conveyed properly if the reader feels uncomfortable reading because the writing format seems untidy.
I hope that in the future you can review the writing that you made before posting it and make it neater so that the reader is not distracted or unfocused because the writing format seems untidy.

Nice question there👍. Post writing is one of the major problems facing some members. Although I'm still learning about It too but I think there should be serious sensitization on this  issue . From knowledge I've gained from the forum and older members post writing, a good post must contain relevant information about the topic being discussed by everyone and also should hacmve a very good format such that it is presentable. Also it should be according to the rules of the forum.

I just sent you a PM with clarification on the correct formatting of posts. Be careful, please.

THE TOPIC: In the forum, many members don't consider this when making a post topic, the topic must be clearly defined, and well_ understood and also must be relevant and of interest to the forum audience.

This is a very good advice and an even better observation, many forum members fail to understand the need for adequately placed topic, the first thing that can attract someone to a their thread.

I have seen lots of thread topic that were very misleading and nothing close to the topic was written on the topic. The topic can give someone an insight on what to expect from the thread. There are disadvantages from making misleading topic and that's you may get put on ignore by most members and loose your reputation.

I suggest you to read this [GUIDE] A good post/reply and formatting [UPDATED] before giving your Goddamn lecture about the concept of writing.

You formatted your post in completely bolded words which makes me sick to read and everyone feels the same as far as I am concerned after reading all the replies.

You yourself needs to know how to make a post on Bitcointalk. Your formatting is way off. You need to use the tags given properly. Why have you decided to make the whole post Bold?
Also, you can user
as Cantsay suggested. Your post looks terrible to read for my eyes and I don't recommend anyone to follow your "basic knowledge of post-writing".

Stop giving stress to yourself since you don't need to follow all of that things and the only thing you need to so is be informed then just enjoy any topics you can read on this forum. Just make sure that you are on topic and didn't write any nonsense post since for sure you are so fine with that. If you follow all the stressful suggestion placed then maybe you might get afraid to write on different topics because you are worried that people might criticize your post.

No offense to the Op but this looks like a lesson note prepared for kindergartens. It seems that you who is writing "understanding the concept of post writing" has not fully grasped the concept. The method of bolding your words to me doesn't do anything for highlights, rather it can be quite irritating.

Something you should take into consideration is that we have different readers who have their pattern at which they read and instead of targeting a particular audience in terms of making a post, why not make a generally comprehensive post? I see you got this part highlighted somewhere. You have made your point but I think if this was meant to serve as a guide to the average beginner, it is to vague to offer any help.

Don't bold all your text. Only bold what is most important and you should limit what you bold in your post.

You don't have to target anyone. Only post if your post has good quality and contribution for knowledge base, discussion and if you feel your post does not have quality, don't post it as it will waste your time and forum members.

When your post has good quality, readers will pay more time to read and they will join discussion in your topic too. If your post is low quality, quality members will ignore it and only spammers will join your post discussion.
