I'd prefer both but if limited to the two, naturally the unexpected one. But it's more of a losing match getting turned around compared to betting an underdog type of thing. It has happened to me before, similar odds between the two so the match could go either way, but the start my team started getting destroyed. Middle of the game comes around and they suddenly stage a comeback. Now those types of wins are just thrilling as hell since the game itself is an intense back-and-forth.

As for casino games, I play them so much that it doesn't faze me that much when I get an unexpected win lol. Maybe every now and then with a big bet with big odds, but usually I just go high odds and spam it with low bets.

Of course, because an unexpected victory is kind of surprise and can give us sense of joy or enthusiasm for the achievement, moreover with victory that we never expected before, it can also increase our confidence that at that time got luck.
It different when we can win with analysis and prediction preparation that has been made well, in conditions like this we have gained confidence and also belief to succeed in achieving victory so that if we really win then we don't get kind of surprise.
But one other thing I will say is that unexpected victories like that are very rare to get, for example in game luck it is clear that the chances cannot be seen for sure, I myself if I get victory like you get from the plinko game will definitely feel the same as you.

This is why I've come to this conclusion that winnings that are unexpected are more exciting than winning that have been predetermined/expected.

Yes, that is your personal conclusion regarding the two winning scenarios that you obtained. But for other users, it may never be the same. An unexpected win is certainly exciting, but an expected win is much more exciting. The reason I'm clear about that is because basically you first do an analysis of a match before betting money, then how can you not feel excited when your analysis is correct and the win you hope for is really real.

So I can also draw a conclusion personally, an expected win is much more exciting than an unexpected win. That can make you more enthusiastic about analyzing other matches in the hope of winning them too.

maybe that's also what makes casino games more fun than sports betting where we actually expect to win from the predictions we make. but in casino games that rely on luck, there is hope to win but its arrival is really unexpected and always a surprise.

but I think all of this applies to the opposite. losing a bet that we expect to win will definitely make a bigger disappointment than losing a game of luck. you must have bet quite high with small Odds. because we are too confident with our predictions we bet quite big but when we lose, it leaves a distrust of the betting results.

I don't know about any other person but personally, I've come to discover that winnings that are unexpected excites the most than the winnings that are expected, regardless of the amount of money involved.
That's true though, there is an excitement attached to an amount won unexpectedly. I could remember some time ago I played many games hoping to win but couldn't win a single bet I decided to stake multiple games with several prediction and relaxes and said to myself that if it happens to play "so be it" and if it doesn't as well "so be it" too. I was surprised to see 2 tickets won at ago and I was excited. So definitely there is excitement in unexpected win.

But by the way, it is not advisable to put our hope on a  predicated running game, because If it happens not to play, such person may feel disappointed. It is better we always stake and remove our mind on it sothat when there is an unexpected win we become exited instead of becoming exited earlier and angry when lost later run.

I just want to win! Let it be that it's a win game for me and it excites me regardless. I would prefer talking about the opposite where I had expected a bet to play as predicted but it didn't go my way. I get pained by it because of the expectation I have placed on it but when there's no expectations whatsoever I don't feel anything.

Generally, it's not a good gambling habit to place expectation on our bets irrespective of how we feel some certainty about the odds playing because even the smallest odd still disappoints. Nothing is sure in gambling except it's a fixed match.

Every win is exciting when you're gambling because loses occurs more due to the house edge over the gamblers so when you win you'll feel triumphant. If you're however compering expected wins and unexpected wins, I strongly believe that unexpected wins gives far more excitement. In expected wins you must've put a lot of energy into analyzing the games and when it happens you'll feel more of fulfilment than super excited. But when you talk about unexpected wins it's when you randomly pick matches and you didn't do any analyzing or you're just having fun without having much hope that you'll win. It also feels very good when you make a mistake while staking your games and you win, the excitement is always double.

I think it's both for me as well, (might be good if we have a poll?)

(a) Unexpected wins - makes gambler more excited, let's take for example in sports betting, you bet on the underdog, you watch the game and you might want to say that you shouldn't have bet on the underdog or just skip the game totally. But then out of nowhere, your underdog team win and so you are very happy to see your bet making profits.

(b) expected wins - you bet on the favorite in sport betting, you put a good to decent money. And then didn't watch the game because you know that you're going to win and the next day you just collect your winnings. I have this cases before, betting on minimum $100 per single match and then just go to sleep because I'm very positive to win.

Well an expected win doesn't really sound exciting, does it? I mean, you only get a self verification of choosing the right side and often enough fee like "damn, I should have bet more. It was so obvious they would win."

Unexpected wins don't really happen to at least because if I do I rarely bet on underdogs. And also I wouldn't bet on a side where I wouldn't be convinced they have more then an average chance to win the match.
So the only unexpected wins, at least for me, are miracle comebacks. Like when my basketball team is down 15 points going in the final quarter and then pull off something like a 27:9 quarter  Grin . That of course is always a great feeling but unfortunately this happens also most never for me, only the opposite does, losing a big final quarter lead and throw away the win.  Cry

The both wins excite me but I have more joy when the game I least expected to win from eventually plays because you've removed your mind from it and then you go back to check something else and discover your online account amount has increased. I remember when such an occurrence happened. It was supposed to come out a winning of $30 since I staked it $1but the last event of 2.5 was playing 2-0 at 90+ minutes so I just took my mind off it only to check my account the next morning and find that the game played. I was so happy being that I was moody the night before thinking it's just that option that would deprive me of the money.

Months ago, there was a thread created here concerning a gambler that died out of over excitement after realising that he has won a huge sum of money that he have not earned in his entire life, but won it in one day from his bet. Such winning was unexpected, that's why it took his life, some unexpected winning comes with disaster. Personally for me, there's no kind of winning that doesn't excite me, whether it's expected or unexpected, I usually feel so excited but what actually excites me more is if I had won a huge amount of money and not just some peanuts.

Unexpected wins excites the most, expected wins make me to stay.

I can't stay too long in games that can surprise me because I have zero control over the games, there's no difference for someone who have gamble for one week and one year.

While expected wins can make me to stay the game for long, I can pick which one that will win based on experience, knowledge and analysis, even I didn't earn as much as playing in slots, but it make me happy to see I'm picking the right one.

Yes, I also agree with you OP that unexpected wins are much more exciting than expected wins, I understand that usually winning is something that gamblers always expect when they run a session, but usually there are times when we really feel that winning is very far from us like what I once experienced where I bet with a very small amount of capital and did not put any hope, especially winning.

I thought that in the end defeat was the definite answer at that time, but it turned out that suddenly the round became very good when I played a type of casino game that not long after that I managed to achieve a fairly large win which if I'm not mistaken was 300% of the capital and of course that was a very exciting win.

I don't know about any other person but personally, I've come to discover that winnings that are unexpected excites the most than the winnings that are expected, regardless of the amount of money involved.

Recently, I placed a bet on sports match, and somehow, I was very certain I was going to win it, the match started and at the end, I won my bet, odd was 1.4, not going to mention the amount I used for bet, but I won a good sum, i wasn't all that excited because it's a winning I had expected, in fact, I would have been more surprised if I hadn't won.

Then I remembered that some time ago, I was playing plinko with a random balance that was remaining on my account, I wasn't expecting any winnings, I just wanted to have fun and empty my balance, I set the risk level to "high" and was betting $0.1 on each ball that came down, I can't tell how many rounds I've played but soon enough, my account balance that was below $5 was already $40+, this money was not near the amount i won from sports betting but I was overly excited, possibly because I never really expected to win this much.

This is why I've come to this conclusion that winnings that are unexpected are more exciting than winning that have been predetermined/expected.

I think only novices in the filed could expect winning every time they bet. Such expectations  are stiffen with time, thus, the mature gamblers are  getting used to both winnings and losings. The first ones excite  them as always (though to a lesser extent) while the bad breaks  define their spirit making them hard to influence by the bad strikes. All of this is gained  from both my own experience and backgrounds  of my friends.

I can relate clearly of what you are talking about but though let it be known that there is no assured games to believe it is a MUST WINNING. In gambling winning games are even comes from the unexpected and that is why it is tagged a game of luck.

But then there are certain games that may have us the phases of potential winning and when we finally wins, it is like already being expected and not really like we are trying our luck if we may win.
When the winning finally comes, it could be emotionally controlled but when we play at that point of hopelessly especially with our last funds or lack of times to analyze the games before playing, the excitements is usually loud and more appreciated because it was not expected.

I will go with winning unexpected, obviously, if you don't see your self winning and totally give up, then suddenly you win big, you feel energetic and very exciting. One example for me is that when I'm playing slots and I was down to my last money and I accepted the faith that I'm going to lose everything and just wanted to play before going to home. But luckily the slot games that I played give me a bonus round and it was a great win that I was able to win all back the money that I've lost already.

So I'm very happy to win unexpectedly when in my mind I might have regrets on playing on land base casinos and thinking that I should have stayed at home and didn't go home and risk that money.

To me winning is winning be it expected and unexpected once the winning comes you feels so supper professional in your mind. But sometimes when you expect and never wins it almost gives someone heart break that is why when playing gambling you don't have to expect winning or even expect lose, just be at the normal balance that any is possible and likely to happened. As most people may have when unexpected winnings comes it gives them that Joy and happiness towards that random winning for that they would likely spent it back to the casino because would feels that there another Wining coming right beside after the previous winning.
Well, I agree with you that expecting a win which turn out to be a loss at that end of the day can give person a heart attack, or almost, this is something I have personally experienced in the past when for the very first time, I used around $3000 ($2,800) precisely to bet on a sport game I was very certain that my choice team would win, I've discussed about this on this forum on multiple occasions.

At the end of the match, my choice team lost and my $2,800 was gone, it was like I was dreaming, I fainted and was rushed to the hospital, spent 3 days there, and It took me over a year to recover from the shock of that loss.

So, indeed, expecting to win a bet and ending up not winning can be very heart breaking, but it's depends on the amount of money one used for betting on the game, but on the other hand still, this thread is not about the loses, but winning, lets look at the winning side of gambling, and forget about the loses for now.
You know that's why it's very important to bet and gamble with the amount we can afford to lose otherwise the shock could be something massive reacting on the opposite side of us, however, winning is something that gives everyone players or gambler the Joy and momentum to increase their bet size to further double their money.

Unexpected winning give you that feelings that heals the broken love for gambling, like it rekindles your passion and love to consistently gambling without losing hope.

I could also remembered back then when I just picked game on a random and stake with whatever amount that just got into my mind because I felt that I am not gonna win the bet and I never also bother to have followed the match as well because I felt I already lose the match.

But surprisedly when I login to my account 5 days past I saw my balance very pleasing and pleasant I then track the history I noticed it was the last game I bet on gave me that winning I was like is this real? Yes that is real my dear.

What you hope for is a big win by getting more money than the bet you paid, especially as an unexpected win will be even more exciting.

Every bet is taken seriously, even if the win is unexpected, for example, you want to win half but the final result makes you win 50, a bigger win with more payout, I think everyone wants to win in their bets, don't want to lose, win slightly and it's unexpected, it's a joy for everyone . in a match that was not expected to win completely but the final result was unexpected, it was very classy.

What is expected win in your opinion? When you place a bet with 1.01 odd ? Cheesy We have a great example how people fail with such bet. Or a bet that you place when there is no time left in a game and one team is totally dominating? Well such bets won make be really excited, that is for sure. But I dont know how come unexpected wins not be exiting in general. You dont expect to win, then boom and your pockets are full of money. How come someone not be happy about it and compared that feeling with expected win?

I have never had an expected win because no matter how sure it is you will always be skeptical about it, that's what makes it gambling. I Ve had some unexpected wins and I must say that they gave me a lot of excitement, winning a game you were unsure about can make any gambler overjoyed. I placed a bet of 200 odds with less than a dollar just for fun, the options I picked were very risky and I wasn't expecting anything from it at all but later on I checked it out and It was successful. Gambling is indeed filled with uncertain outcomes
