CPU Mining Competition
Hello, dear Unitus and CPU miners! Did you know that Unitus will be celebrating its birthday soon? Our 1st block was mined on December 28th, 2014! We will be hosting a CPU mining competition soon in correlation with that! The duration of the contest will be 2 weeks. Starting on December 14th and ending on December 28th, 2017.
Why are we going to do that? We think that there is not enough information available about the hashrate of our CPU algorithms on different processors. Unitus is a rare coin that has 2 CPU mining algorithms: Argon2d and Yescrypt. The situation with Yescrypt is better. We have much more information available. However, it is still not enough:
https://www.zpool.ca/bench/algo?algo=yescrypt http://yiimp.eu/bench/algo?algo=yescrypt Unfortunately, they are still poor spreadsheets. For example, Monero has:
http://monerobenchmarks.info/index.phpWe, the Unitus community, need to have more useful and aesthetic spreadsheets for every CPU.
Ask this question anywhere, “What can I mine with my CPU?” and the answer will most likely be, “Coins on the CryptoNight algo.” However, the answer should be “Unitus! It has 2 different CPU algorithms, choose whichever one you like. Your GPU can mine, also. It is the most versatile and multifaceted coin available to be mined!” Therefore, we want more information available to the public so people answer with that instead. Information about CPU hashrates can help many people to start mining Unitus which can help increase its popularity creating a synergistic effect, therefore, increasing the activity inside the community helping Unitus rise! You can help us in this matter! All you need to do is participate in the competition and spread information about it!
The rules are simple: people fill lines about their CPUs and win UIS! We are interested in information about all CPU models. New and old, fast and slow, x64 and x86, CISC and RISC, whatever. There are 2 types of prizes.
Immediate prize for one person (independent for every CPU model info and every algorithm):
Base n*1UIS One or more fully filled line, separated by a space, formed according to the example.
+n*2UIS The 1st information about a CPU in the competition
+n*1UIS / +n*2UIS 3+ / 5+ lines for one CPU
+n*1UIS OC or DC hardware
+n*3UIS Unusually things (ARM, 32-bit CPU, etc)
Achievements at the end of the competition on December 28th:
n*10 You have the fastest CPU in the stock frequency!
n*10 You have the fastest CPU in OC!
n*30 Your CPU is the weakest, but don’t worry!
n*10 Your CPU is the newest! n*30 Your CPU is the oldest, and it still works!
n*20 You fill the maximum lines about one CPU!
n*40 You’re the tester of highest amount of CPUs!
1st people get prize:
n*40 You mined on an ARM device (except Raspberry Pi and smartphone)!
n*50 You mined on a Raspberry Pi!
n*60 You mined on a smartphone! Wow!
If you never mined UIS before, but are interesting in CPU mining, you can easily try to mine Unitus right now! Miner for Windows: https://unitus.online/files/unitus-cpuminer.7z Miner for Linux: https://github.com/unitusdev/unitus-cpuminer

Alice gets prize: Base n*1 +n*2(because first) + n*1 + n*0 + n*0 = n*4 (AMD Argon2d) Base n*1 +n*2(because first) + n*1 + n*0 + n*0 = n*4 (Intel Argon2d) Base n*1 +n*2(because first) + n*0 + n*0 + n*0 = n*3 (Intel Yescrypt) Total n*11
Bob gets prize: Base n*1 +n*0(because not first) + n*2 + n*1 +n*0 = n*4
Total amount of UIS up for grabs will be either:
7,500
15,000
22,500
There is currently 6,500UIS set aside for it and will definitely at least hit 7,500.
