Thanks to the Uno community for helping give CPR to PR, and giving it another shot at life.  I know our friends at Cryptopia appreciated it. They had come under criticism when the PR network went down.

Uno works on a lot of levels. Rolls off the tongue just a smidge easier. Also, Uno is one, there is only one truly like Uno. It just works nicely like that.

Also i think unobtanium shortening "uno" sounds smoother against "btc"

Agree.  And it also is a quick way to get to the point that all those other "Bitcoin Lite" coins have less claim to associate themselves as being related to Bitcoin ... UNO is a legit kind of bitcoin ... same network and same code base just less of the head ache caused by coin inflation ... and thus Elite as in Rarity ... 100x more rare than bitcoin ... and that's not a joke  

I also would suggest trolling the so called  "Bitcoin ELite" by waiving free kilos of UNO if the do some simple "#UNO is #BitcoinElite" shout outs ... likely we will be ignored ... but as price moves up I am sure we start to get some to respond ... then we get some h8te from the "Bitcoin ELite" crowd ... but more and more will break the ranks and adopt #UNO as a legitimate child of bitcoin with specific case use of SoV.

Bitcoin Elite was obviously just meant as a joke. But its a fun way to troll the current Bitcoin Core/Classic/Whatever chaos. If they really don't get their act together, which looks more likely every day, it would be pretty epic for popular alts to rebrand and complete the chaos:

ETH to "Bitcoin App"

Bitcoin Elite is a fine nickname, but that is all.

Thank God I'm not the only one rejecting the silly idea of renaming Bitcoin.

Absolutely no to a name change and certainly not "Bitcoin elite" which would put it in the same camp as "Bitcoin Core", "Bitcoin XT", "Bitcoin Classic", etc. it would be completely confusing.

UNO isn't up there, but it would be sick to get some attention by pitching some BTC to get to THE Chinese market. Looks like .1 BTC would put it at the top of the list.

New name?

Anybody remember "new" Coke?

Naw, price has dipped into the 0.002's but it remains in the 0.003 range that it's been in for a couple months. Although in the recent past those 'dips' have lead to longer-term visits to a lower range. Despite my relatively large holdings I wouldn't mind 0.002's because I have spent the last few months working to replenish my bitcoin reserves, so I could probably drop my cost-average down from ~0.006 to ~0.004

The diff is totally broken on that coin and it's been really really dead for a long time. I used to chat with the dev quite a bit, I even had a UNB shirt but he would not change the code and would not change the diff retargetting. It's best to let it be...

Also, I think the whole name change even as an idea is an absolutely terrible idea. Not only do I have silver bars and things that say "UNOBTANIUM," name changes shed a bad light. I don't like it. I even propose nobody ever suggest to change the name again. It's no. Don't do it. Never.

I really like the name Unobtanium because it's a little futuristic & fantastic, but it also represents our core strength very well. I retweeted Bryce's latest comment proposing a name change because it's at least something to consider. Maybe he wasn't even serious & nobody would ever do that, but if something as simple as a name change could get us 2x or 20x the attention, all of the serious holders should think about it &/or discuss it.

Edit: To be clear, I think that all we need is: patience, commitment, confidence, and some efforts (we already have those things) to increase our exchange exposure and 'brand awareness' (for lack of a better term). That said, I'm fine with some non-fundamental tweaks along the way, and a name change would only be superficial. I'm not for or against at the moment, I would just like to hear others' thoughts.

Edit 2: I think a name change could seem flaky and go against our "rock solid" path of consistency & reliability.
