you don't think having the chinese language option is redeeming enough to make yobit worthwhile?

Chinese is a plus, I'd rather get listed on a bigger Chinese altcoin exchange.

@RDD I certainly understand your reservations regarding Yobit and would like a larger exchange as well.

However, based upon the feedback from the larger entities, it is currently not in the cards, at this moment. My hope is that if we get some good action on Yobit, that it will garner some "street cred" in the Chinese / Russian markets. Thereby allowing us to daisy-chain into a larger forum.

It's certainly a long-shot; however, it's the only shot at the moment. Certainly money well-spent IMO.

I appreciate your candor and suggestions.

I believe multisig is really all you need.

The known multisig has another use! It's totally different from zerotrust.

Not usable for my case!

I don't want you to change Unobtanium for me! Let it be, as it is! Just thought this is the masterplan behind Unobtanium and Prototanium. Now I see, there is absolutely no masterplan. This was only my own fantasy, leading me to the illusion of continuously progress in coin development! Not your error! I was wrong.

I feel bad for going against the idea of Yobit, I do. I know you guys put up a little bit of money to get listed, but I just feel like it's a waste. The exchange is commonly known for it's ICO-related stuff, I just feel like it can't help UNO, a coin that is nothing like 90+% of what is listed there. ICO stake coins, mostly.

I am currently brainstorming bug fixes and thinking about merchant-level services, so I'm trying to come up with that "big idea," not quite there yet.
I do however feel we are ahead of the game just for being on Shapeshift, and accepted for coinpayments.

yobit is on the risky side.  agree.
mostly a playful test.  only putting our toes in the water.  no one's suggesting jumpin in head first.

I do not use any social media sites.

Looking at Yobit, I really don't like the direction of taking UNO to that exchange, sorry for saying so. Currently they are talking about how Osmiumcoin has failed already in less than a month. Nothing but junk coins there, and nothing else. I apologize for being brash, Yobit is a total no-go for me.

Hey, if you use Twitter, can you assist in tweeting to Yobit to find out when $UNO is going to go live?

Also, if you have time, drop by the troll box there and start asking some questions too.

Thanks!

You missunderstand me! I don't want the nLockTime. Contracts are cumbersome!

The "normal" multisig does not work good for this! We need zerotrust. Don't know how you mean, existing systems could solve the problem.

I want something new, not yet implemented.

If you want Counterparty and Ethereum, go to those platforms. I believe UNO set out to be a specific rarer-than-Bitcoin strong SHA256 chain store of wealth. It has done this wonderfully. I believe multisig is really all you need.

Still nothing from Yobit. I'm going to be very occupied for the next 10 hours if anyone wants to politely pester them about it in an e-mail (or in the chatbox if you see 'blacksmith' there).

What would you suggest deadlock?
Whose got the best innovation going in crypto today?

The best innovation would be clearly the Atomic Cross Chain Trading  (not yet implemented!)

I mean especially the part 2:

Quote
2.) Solution using specialized altchain
The previously mentioned approach can be used directly to trade between bitcoin-derived chains without special support on the side of protocol. The obvious disadvantage is nLockTime - if counterparty does not go through the trade, our funds are locked and cannot used in another trade for the duration of timeout. Additionaly, it depends on transaction replacement which may, or may not be considered standard under current bitcoin protocol rules.
Another proposal of cross-chain p2ptrade is to use specialized altchain with properties for efficient operation of p2ptrade from bitcoin chain. Additionaly, we use only single standard bitcoin transaction which looks exactly the same as normal payment (no nlocktime, no multisig, no special script).
Assuming the altchain has actual economic value to support it, it can even serve as proxy for (relatively) efficient zero-trust p2p market between fe. BTC and LTC thanks to arbitraging market makers.

Part 1 is with contracts, that's the way Ether etc. go! Means they "try".

This has some disadvantages.
- nLockTime
- other unwanted dependencies

Other coins could go way 2 , as explained, to get advanced position.

So the way 2 is better and superior!

Can you elaborate on why you do not wish to see any multisig solutions? While a bit difficult to manage in it's current state, multisig has solved some trust issues for a few customers of mine albeit under a very specific set of circumstances.

nLockTime has it's own set of issues, but I can see it being a hinderance to what you are looking for.

We can talk again at price 0.002  Grin

I think it is too early, all Unobtanium owners are still too enthusiastic. The community is still not mature for innovation.

You haven't heard the loud bang yet!
@deadlock1 sounds like you are ready to close out your position and move on.

I as well as others will gladly assist you. Please let us know how much you have to sell...

That is never going to happen. Even if only 10 people held UNO, which is not the case, if if got down to .003s it would be bought up hard, any amount that would even come to market would be caught. Unless someone with quite a few thousand tons purposely dumped out for serious losses, ain't happening. Only coin I feel confident in saying "that price point will not be reached."

I feel like merge-mining was the innovation UNO needed to support the hashrate while the block reward halves in a month or so.

When the time for innovation comes, it's best to exist in order to have a chance to implement it.  Gold and silver money still exists with fiat and blockchain innovations.  (How Vaultoro didn't reach it's minimum funding goal on https://bnktothefuture.com/ recently, I'll never know.)  As long as Unobtanium survives it proves viability.  If it's viable, it's valuable.  Seems innovation takes time, execution, recognition, acceptance, etc...  and UNO will be here.

BN, points well taken.
I also want to do more than exist. I want Uno to thrive.

But looking at the bottom of coinmarketcap.com, and remembering some of the coins that once flew high and no longer exist... survival itself is an innovation that has eluded the majority of cryptocurrencies that have launched since 2013.    If we have that (and we clearly do) we can continue building.  Nobody is innovating anymore for, say, 21coin, even though it's much rarer than Uno.  Longevity is an asset. It contains the sum of the coin's good will and extends its credibility, and creates an optimism around the coin that encourages community growth.
