i have to agree china is difficult topic
enter that market without have dedicated chinese community
or even better core team members is not likely ending with a success story
u will feed some guys with bounties but the results will be not worth it
as soon as ur stream of bounty ends any attention is gone

Tee hee -- not 'just' China and Greece, B.N. Just China and Greece 'at this juncture' -- they seem like the best candidates at this second.

I do take your point about China's markets, but China is a central player, so it seems reasonable to research the option.

Getting the email address of anywhere in Greece is hard. I tried.

Why just China and Greece?
think bigger Wink

ASIA
EUROPE
commonwealths
latin america
the other parts of the world

in my opinion
China is best left on hold, reason I am not sure about the markets there, btc38 seems the best candidate yet it is still fuzzy how to promote there.

I would suggest buy lumps of SAK, Mega, World, and Black ... and offer them at a discount via uno pair ... that should bring Chinese buyers into Uno ... give them a taste first then there will be a natural demand for UNO to get a btc38 listing.

Greece is maybe the better place to start a full fledged promotion.  Focus on a town or region, say Sparta.  Anyone tracking NAUT?  This is same plan they are using (or at least claiming to be doing).

I know the Chinese bounty has not produced much results, but that doesn't mean it's a failed ambition, likely just some necessary components weren't present (CNY pairing, advertising, proper forum, w.e.).

Watch this thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3jyntv/what_are_the_top_bitcoin_forums_in_each_country/ then get some proper translations going for many countries. If it starts to catch on in just one community/region that's a big deal.

The Chinese Unobtanium.uno looks great! Advertise it on more Chinese forums, and eventually let's get other translations. I know I talk a big game without producing much action, but I'm willing to contribute to crowd-funded operations.

A Greek translation would be great too, we've just got to be sure we actually get some Greeks to see it!

I agree with Nat: think big; act big; results will follow.

China and Greece gotta be worthy of our attention at this juncture.

and the competition continue UNO managed to step ahead i hope shortterm Wink

we had a big whale sell like 7% of total coins as reason we did fall from 600k marketcap to 300k
and now slowly recovering (hint hint cheap DMD ...)
what happend with UNO why the loss?

I'd like for you to explain to me (feel free to PM so as not to derail thread) how is this 50% interest scheme of yours considered sustainable? Genuine curiousity.

I like this coin, its like my nick haha
In fact... i dont like merge-coins

What do you mean you don't like merge-coins?
I was wondering the same thing. What's not to like? Huge hash, protection from attacks, more street cred, etc...

 Huh

@cryptonit

i like DMD ... staking a coin worth 25cents is fun ... and more importantly is creating a robust network ... I think dmd has made the top50 cut
(albeit not according to coincap this week) Smiley

also very happy that dmd/uno pair allows direct trades, and think there is the possiblity of teaming up someday ... where each coin focuses on specific functions and differing case uses.

in terms of capital DMD made a very nice surge, but UNO community has already learned that rapid gains in capital tend to fizzle ... sharks, free-riders, and potatoheads all try their best to skim $ on any quick gain.

in the last 100-60 days UNO has focuses more on projects less on price, aka building real value, hence cheap UN for anyone wanting to join up in this venture Wink

Somebody behind this coin please contact btc38 about getting an UNO/CNY pairing there. We'd be at $1,000,000 market cap in 2 months. It can't be that hard to get listed there, we can do it. Especially with the recent Chinese translations, what did we do those for if we're not going to try to be listed on a Chinese exchange?

Dang! This community is regaining its mojo. How about:

Unobtanium: rare, fair, established. Second-strongest of all crypto block-chains.

# Truly rare crypto whose primary mining-schedule is almost complete. (79% already fairly mined; 21% remainder over several centuries.)

# Talented community committed to newcomer tech-support and cutting-edge technical development.

# Coin’s creator still active in community.

# Android, Linus, Mac, and Windows wallets.

# Merged-mining with Bitcoin." ?

And 'Merged-mining . . . '? but don't forget that a blurb must remain brief. (We should start on a longer text to use in other situations.)

"general technical development" makes it sound like we don't have the basics covered.

Simply "Merged-mining with bitcoin" just doesn't bring the point of how strong the network is IMO. Only a miner who actively looks into the hashrate will get it.

I could be wrong though of course, just my thoughts.

Hey, Nat!

“I don't know where you're planning to advertise this stuff . . . “

Anyone can use it anywhere.  “ . . . libertarian, programming, GFC-topics, conspiracy . . . “  Yeh. I think these are just the people we should be targeting. I will chip in a few Uno for any costs incurred.

Gotta keep this one short. (I’m happy to write a longer one. This one’s a blurb – by definition, brief.)

“ "local merchant" adoption is pointless unless the merchant is informed . . . “

Agreed! IndiaMikeZulu has long been advocating ‘mentoring,’ whereby a complete network of support is provided to the merchant. (Ask me what ‘pre-purchase’ is!)

And I've been buying beer and veggies from a local merchant since just a month after I joined this community. She now happily owns over 300 Uno.

As libertarians, Nat, although we dig online marketing, we tend to local/P2P development. Certainly as a community, mentoring can teach us what difficulties newcomers encounter.

Okay, next round of editing, go!
