Blazr2 here; my old account is no longer accessible but I am still lurking. Working on putting the visual bits back in 0.10 now, you'll have your kg/Un and the QR codes working soon. A preliminary status pull is available here for those who don't want to wait:

https://github.com/thegreatoldone/Unobtanium

Working on some GUI builds to test and then will push it to Unobtanium-official for Bryce to merge.

Cheers, you've all done an amazing job of which I take little credit, but I'm glad to still be attached in some small way. Glad to see Dave involved! If any of ye feel like sending a few grams my way, please do: uVjbsx6tAhySeJpN7xLBieAzWcD7rEVmYp

To get 51% of the mining hashrate, it'll cost ~$121 million to buy the hardware and ~$700k every day to keep it running. To get 99% of all full nodes, the total cost is only ~$300k/day  http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/3afd4m/to_get_51_of_the_mining_hashrate_itll_cost_121/

*just divide the numbers by whatever % of the BTC hash rate UNO is pulling ... and that % will grow constantly as capital/price grows ... even right now UNO is protected by nearly $1M in equipment plus $20k/day to even attempt a possible attack

UNO has addressed the fundmentals first:

1. Inflation
2. Network Security (and to be improved with increased MM participation plus additional nodes)
3. Fairness (in mining & in market price offers ... under $3 so get your fill)
4. Market Listings and Pairings
5. Core Community

From there we focus on marketing and cosmetics (which is the stage we are just entering ... see China/android/websites).

I have successfully installed the wallet. It looks great!

I received some $UNO to the wallet and sent some $UNO out of the wallet.

Except for the yellow logo, which has already been mentioned, the UI looks great.

I also only have one peer connected. I don't know how to add more, or even if that is necessary.

Great work! Another arrow in the #UNO quiver!

BTW, I have had the Android wallet going for quite some time now; however, I do not show up at all on:

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/#!network

I know this because I am in S America and not one wallet is listed here. Does anyone know why that is happening?

When I generated an address in the UNO wallet, I got this:
bitcoin:ugTV93Tt3gvH1imQppB5kyHqGRC7DeQhNh?label=Donations%20for%20the%20app

Yes, the desktop wallet should be updated and in the mean time I can add code for the app to accept bitcoin: and unobtanium: for the URI's.

The yellow icon was taken from the source code for the desktop client.  Where can I get the blue logo?

I am not sure if the paper wallet sweep function works, it may not correctly scan a private key QR code.

Por desgracia, non hablo Espanol.

Multi-lingual access to the Uno-verse sure is a fine goal to work toward.

Vaya, nosotros!

Wallet 0.10.0 (Pre CaptChadd)  here, and the only wallet I will run unless I code it myself.

I did not know we had UNO reps in SA. Hablas Español?
Por desgracia, hablo Espanol mal.

I travel frequently in Central and South America; however, I almost always have a translator with me. I'm sure if we needed a Spanish translation page, one of them would gladly assist.

I speak Spanish and have knowledge of bitcoin protocol. I am miles ahead of your nearest translator.
Yes Madam / Sir, you certainly are. Thanks for all of your contributions to the $UNO effort!  Smiley

EDIT: BTW, it sure was a pleasure to see that hash rate at 2PH/s earlier today.  Wish it was still that way!  Cool

I tried to send to my Uno Core wallet and scanned the QR code. The problem is that the Core wallet sends back:  "bitcoin:u
" and the result is that the Android wallet can't recognize the input. Since it's such a PITA to type a Uno addy using an android screen keyboard, is there any chance the Android wallet could just remove that "bitcoin:" from the front of the address (if it exists).  That will give us a little time to resolve it on the Core wallet side.

...

Actually that's a bug in the QT wallet, BW needs to fix that. I ran into that with jswallet, and I made jswallet use the correct "unobtanium:uxxxx" format as well. Hash is correct here. I'm guessing that's a simple line in the QT source, if I had more time I'd do a pull request myself...
Yes, I know it needs to be addressed the core wallet. I've mentioned it.  But it would be an immediate benefit to everyone if Hash could find their way to write a short function to just test the address string and if it begins with "bitcoin:", simply remove it from the string.  I sense that could save us all weeks of manually pounding in long addresses with fat fingers.

FWIW I think I fixed it in the QT wallet:

I've submitted a pull request to disconnect any client older than v10. Can someone please notify BW and ask for feedback?

Who wants to beta test? HashEngineering via PM:

I have it running. The network monitor shows I am connected to ispace.co.uk and downloading blocks.

I strongly suggest nobody send more than tiny fractional amounts of Un to the wallet while it's being tested. Back up your wallet immediately.

First impressions: very cool! This is going to be great.

When it first loads, give it some time to get rockchain and exchange info. Find the Network monitor if you want to see the status of the chain and connections. It's not immediately obvious there's something going on. Don't be impatient.

Quick feedback:
I received Uno to my Android wallet! Success!

I tried to send to my Uno Core wallet and scanned the QR code. The problem is that the Core wallet sends back:  "bitcoin:u

I think the community would prefer the blue Uno logo. Though I'm fine with yellow, blue seems to be the general consensus. Maybe too late?
I'm only finding one peer so far after being connected 30 mins.
Doge/Litecoin/NXT, are not listed in the exchange rates.
Bitcoin price from Bitcoinaverage.com isn't coming up either.

Overall, very impressive for a beta! We are going to like this! Smiley

but i am interested in how/where that information came from

https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/#!network

And 0 of them were in China.

Of course, it's possible there are some nodes that weren't connected to the explorer's node.  But it looks like pretty good information.

Hey, Edgar. I suppose it's open a half an hour three or four times a week when Uno is coming in from exchanges. (Uno wallet much faster than my Bitcoin wallet.)

And since it came up the other day, I have been running it four or five hours a day -- while I'm on the Net.
