The wallets list is more informative for information about our mystery whale. It appears that a few weeks ago they withdrew ~8,000 UNO, something like 30% of the total Bittrex UNO. So they're withdrawing some of what they're accumulating, at least for now, they could of course deposit it all within minutes. Our data is a little more limited since Bittrex removed their distribution tab, but in my opinion it's a safe conclusion that the person who is regularly buying up the ask side on Bittrex is also the one who withdrew thousands of UNO recently (& the one who had 10,000+ UNO visible on Bittrex when they still had their distribution tab).

Nice catch! I know the wallet was up to like 32k uno or something insane like that. They broke it down into less intimidating chunks.

There are a few possible scenarios that could come of this imho.

First is this whale is accumulating to raise the market to dump. Anyone with half a brain wouldn't accumulate as much as they have to just dump the market down unless they were going to move mountains to make sure there was enough support there for their dump. Very challenging considering the amount they are currently holding.

Second would be there is a plan to the madness. They haven't come out and said anything yet because they are still in the accumulation phase and do not want to talk or discuss anything yet until they have reached their objective accumulation. Once that goal is reached then maybe they will start discussing their plans. I.e We are going to back Uno with x, y, or z.

Third would be someone hell bent on trying to destroy the coin by spending hundreds of thousands of dollars just to end Uno. Maybe Uno and him were old lovers, spurned, lying in wait for the perfect opportunity to strike.

It is very nice to see this rally. A lot of it has to do with bitcoins rising price which to me has become an indicator of troubling times in fiat markets. Last time btc went nuts was during the fallout of the 'great recession' so even though it is to the moon right now i still can't feel excited knowing that due to uncertainty and econmic instability we see the value increase. At least my risks are being diversified in a sense. We all know that ath as just that, ath, btfd when btc comes back down and hope for another rally or do we think that this momentum will continue?

Good to see new names here.

The UNO community is also active on Telegram. Get an invitation to UNO Telegram chat at https://t.me/unobtanium_uno

10+ PHS today! I think that's the highest I've ever seen.  us$4.1 million market cap.  us$21 UNO.

Congrats to you who have been on the ride through the downs. You deserve this up.  Congrats to you who are new on the ride.  UNO won't let you down if you're faithful.

It's so good to see UNO participating in this rally.  We have a special blockchain in UNO.  The emission characteristics, fair launch and a community that values UNO as a simple commodity and store of wealth proven for nearly 4 years is all combining to help others understand just what's so special of this project.

if its being a wench, go into the console & add the nodes manually, it worked for me a few times when nothing else would.

Thanks a lot, I wrote these in the unobtanium.conf .
It still doesn`t sync. "No Block Source available"
Is there anything I should know? I have the v0.10.1.1-blueschist.

try addnode in console
1 by 1

likely a text error in .conf
i just tried and synced v0.10.1.1-blueschist over night

Thank you guys, this helped. Now it is syncing.  Smiley

Next opinion.

BTC wants to hardfork SegWit/Lighting-Networks.
UNO does not.  Again rarity and mature chain with 200 years of sustainable mining output.
BTC is not that.  BTC will in fact reward less than UNO in the near future, 20 years out.

Long wave.
Think deep.

UNO will not hardfork.
The code is LAW.  It is based on a constitution.  Forever.
Thus, "store of value" is UNO not BTC.
(same network, same nature)

BTC still hints that it wants and will hardfork.
Let BTC fork.
Let BTC fork to Fortune 100 bank favor, just like ETH.
(examine the ETH sponsors)

UNO will never hardfork.

The code is LAW.

I remember that in the middle of 2015, just before launching Ethereum, this coin was very famous and promising! It was seen as the diamond... What has happened since then? There has been an appreciation since then, this project from the beginning was conceptualized to be a digital asset of value, right?

UNO inspired to be in 2013 -- the anti-bubble block chain.
The innovation was AUX-POW on SHA256D.  Spiced with rarity and fair launch.
The 2nd innovation was becoming a base pair.
No vaporware.  UNO is what it claimed to become, and is value chart proven since 2013.
There we are.

The greater market is in a bubble, to all traders UNO is based on down side risk.

Big thanks to Learminer for his help here and in Telegram! For anyone else in future, he put me onto this git repository: https://github.com/bitcoinjs/bs58check (and suggested I download the github repo, make a new file (e.g. app.js) and then simply include the demo code from the github page).

...it appears my private key is stored in unencrypted Base58 format (58 character private key, starts with '6') and I need to convert it to Bitcoin-qt format.

Hi,

Please try to import the private key in Electrum_uno. It seems to usually do a good job picking the correct format... Also, what is the first character of the string of the private key? Don't post more than the first character obviously.

And my sincere thanks for checking in with this gem, cryptapus, I really appreciate it! I'd forgotten about Electrum_uno. It's been awhile since I've been in a crypto mindset. I'll absolutely give this a go if Learminer's method falls through (I've already made headway on that one, though won't get to finishing the process until I'm back at a computer later today. Big work weekend here! Thanks again Smiley

EDIT: cryptapus, THANK YOU!! I just did it by Sweeping the wallet and pasting its public key in the Address box and putting the private key in hexadecimal format in the Private Key box (after simply pasting it in base58 format didn't work) and FINALLY, I'm staring at the balance in the wallet! YES!! Cheesy Thanks again guys.

EDIT 2: cryptapus, I can see the two transactions but the wallet is in 'watching mode':

...

How would I get this to an active mode so I can send the UNO to another address? I tried finding my way with the console but I'm struggling a bit, here. Thanks for any advice you can offer here. -C.

Ah, I think you probably imported your public key.... Try to create a new wallet and import the string of digits that begins with "6", I think that's your private key in base64 format. If that fails, go to the paperwallet generator and click on the "Wallet Details" tab. Then enter the "6" string in the box and "View Details". You can there get the private key in base58 WIF format (either compressed or not will work) that can be imported in either Qt or electrum.

Edit: you can tell if it's base64 format if it has any of these characters: "/+=O0I" Base58 is missing them and is used for WIF since these can be mistaken when writing them by hand.
