I definitely think BTER would be a good route to go.  I don't know if it's generally true culturally, but my Chinese friends are voracious savers and UNO certainly fits that bill. Also, getting a hero on the exchange could help UNO in the forums to tell the story...

Askcoin.net has added Uno to their Vote List. If you are active on Askcoin, feel free to vote for Uno if you'd like to trade it there.

Uno is also up for voting at BTER.

As I look at UNO exchanges right now. I'm very pleased that we are on high quality exchanges.
Because UNO by it's nature is a hodled coin, I believe new markets really need to bring something to the table for Uno.

With Bittrex & Cryptsy, we have access to a very large customer base. There's a lot of money & trades on those exchanges.
With Bleutrade (and Comkort), we have access to a USD market, and the ability to setup many alternate UNO/xxx pairings.

If we were to pro-actively solicit a new exchange for UNO, BTER or one of the major Chinese exchanges would be one of my top choice.s  BTER could bring BTC/CNY trading, and make Uno more accessible to East Asian markets.

Uno is current #41 on BTER, behind Android Tokens, which seems like a bit of a slap in the face, but then I don't think we've ever really focused on BTER. I think we could get it up into the top 15 pretty fast if we really tried, and then move on to convince BTER to add us. I don't think we have to win the vote -- if we can show a serious following, I think I can make a deal with them,  but we still need to be toward the top to demonstrate interest.

I can't really trade on any more exchanges. I'm a spread too thin for time. New exchanges really should bring something new and interesting to the table for UNO.
I think BTER does.
I think Altmarket.com will when it gets here.

What do you think? Would you help me get UNO on BTER? Is it a worthwhile project that could expand interest in UNO?

if you were a fly on the wall in NK, you would either be captured and trained to spy on SK or eaten quickly before the nourishment police arrived, beat it out of you and locked you & your family up in a forced labour camp for DARING to 'feast' on said fly

Elle oh Elle. You think that is bad!? I went to starbucks today and they were out of the mochachocofroppalattes! FML!!!

Lol but then NK might hack into our pcs and shut us down for days while stealing our unreleased blockbuster films!

I remember how awesome naptser was "omfg any song you want you can listen to and have, for free!!!", now that i am getting a little older my actual thought was "oh man, that has gotta suck, you spend hundreds of thousands of dollars to make a film, more likely millions, and then have it stolen, man that stinks" WTF guys?! I guess i view the actions of smaller groups of people who release movies before they are out as fighting the man. As a nation you supposedly do something like that because someone is making fun of you? Then you cannot understand why you are the biggest joke country in the world?I think the conversations in the palace most likely went something like:

They is making fun of me WAAAAHHHH!

It is okay greatly exalted one, we shall appease you. Look, we hacked sony , we are now able to watch horrible remakes of movies that have weak stories but decent special effects, first, before those american swine! Teach them a thing or two about mocking the greatest nation in the world!

Oh to be a fly on the wall of a north korean palace. Maaaybbee guys, maaayybbbeee the hodlers of Uno will be able to buy North Korea one day? The first Sovereign crypto nation? We could buy something a little cheaper but i think NK has at least a little infrastructure built up. Slightly more remote countries may take a bit more to get up and running. We would also have the much cooler South Korea as our neighbors. Hell, maybe we could even unite with them and become even greater. Gotta dream big!

@ B.N. and Sirsmokes: what you're talking about is v v interesting. Tell me: do 'they' read this thread? Are we actually communicating with them?

Relevant Anecdote: this happened on Yacoin about 14 months ago: a guy needed to unload a big packet of coin. The negotiations were undertaken publicly on the Bitcointalk thread. An agreement was made for the two parties to 'meet' on Cryptsy at an exact time. The massive order was posted; accepted five seconds later; no drop in price resulted.

The uPh3myb... wallet went over 5k Uno yesterday!  Are you going to take that, uc12eLRg?  Smiley

Those are 2 very nice piles of Uno!

Of course the pseudo #1 is Cryptsy, with Uno held in trust.  In my book, the true top wallet is uPh3myb.

That is a nice little perk of the in-house trades. Less risk in one way.

I think everyone has their price. Of course there are the select few who enjoy going against the grain and refuse to be bought or sold. So there is always the potential for that one trade to be the payday someone was waiting for that they can abscond with. I don't think that is going to happen any time soon in here, but it isn't something to dismiss either. No one thought mintpal was going to get scammed.

It could be a strategy and it could be someone just seeing how markets work. That is why i like the in-house. It gives you more freedom. If you are looking to buy a lot of Uno, you might be able to strike a deal. Someone might be needing that btc for various other reasons. It never hurts to ask. At 006, it might be a tough find, but ya never know if you don't ask!

The anonymous nature of some exchanges might very well be a draw to some people. Although you could be anon on the in-house exchange, it is just a more in depth and involved process having to create a new account and gain trust that way.

The stacking of support. There are stacks upon stacks of btc support on Poloniex for xmr. If anyone ever wanted to look at a prime example of market manipulation, check out xmr there. For a few months there were 70 btc worth of them being bought and sold consistently, someone obviously playing the swings. Things were running smooth and then it crashed out. Lotsa drama and shit. It kills me a little inside because if someone with such deep pockets took a bit of interest in Uno and was in it for the long term i think it would have a rather positive effect. They would have a harder time doing what they were doing with xmr with uno, so i could see why they wouldn't wanna. Different strokes for different folks i suppose.

I think if we were to pony up huge support walls like that people would dump into us, which isn't bad, but i do enjoy buying uno as cheaply as possible. I would almost rather see the bottom fall out, new floor, new accumulation period until we get back to where we are currently, rinse, and repeat. Why should we buy 10k worth of uno at 008 when people would be more than happy to dump it unto us at 006 if they thought that was the peak. It is all speculation.

Or maybe beat this person at their game, because that is all these fuckin manipulators do. They come in, buy volumes of coins at a decent price and keep selling into the communities who want to "keep the coin alive" by not letting the value drop for a little. I am for market manipulation, if the end results help everyone who is involved in the market, holding that coin. When the end game is just selfishly bleeding those who open their hearts and believe in something, for your own personal gain, that is pretty messed up and shortsighted me thinks.

Just thinking this too ... we could stack $5000-$10000 worth of BTC on the exchanges to demonstrate a display of BUY support ... but then we run the Gox/Mint risk of having it go 'poof' ...  who ever is selling a large amount of UNO also should be concerned about this issue of 3rd Party risk Wink

In house can do large deals ... piece meal so the risk is minimized to your tolerance.

WHO keeps putting up these sell walls?  And WHY?  It's obviously not one of the regular posters here -- though possibly it (or they) are regular lurkers.  What's going on?  If we were to continuously buy up all of that red blob, would it continue to miraculously reappear?

Well if our pockets were deep enough it would eventually subside. I know at the moment i can't do anything to help chip away at that wall. Tough times in bean town. It would appear that someone at cryptsy wants the price to fall down to that .006 buy order. Based on what has been seen before it certainly appears to be manipulation. The bittrex market looks a little more "natural" if ya will.

It really would be nice if whoever is selling would go to the in-house exchange. I'm sure they'd get better money than what is on Cryptsy.

The Tao that can be told is not the eternal Tao

Will the USMS Bitcoin auction on Thurs. 4th push Btc down?

m

I'm wondering the same.  Holding off purchasing for the moment.  (I think)  I'm also wondering if everyone thinking the same is what has held the price steady for the past week?

P.S.  Finally broke out of newbie status!
