Oh man, it looks like the jump to 6 across all exchanges right now could happen for @ 7 btc, which is about half the amount that was spent in the past day!

once it's on, it's on Wink

check if you are on the latest version (0.9.5)
Also use addnodes from the OP
If you are not on the latest version update and redownload the chain with correct addnodes. Should fix it.

The pumping is alluring to me, but that is due to my short term obligations. I think in the long run it has the potential to cause more harm than good as the people buying in those scenarios tend to look for an exit too soon. Just easier to keep away. Even easier now given the current trend in Uno, doing rather nicely the past few days! It is going to have a happy birthday!

Wow guys, awesome! Look at what just a teeny tiny little bit of coordination did. After we all said no more sales for under 5, what happened? Just saying  Shocked

@ Gustav's Law: could we give your Law a natty abbreviation? -- and there's a thing here from theory: the first member of a binary pair ('BTC/UNO') is usually seen as dominant. So, 'TDI'? and 'Uno/Btc TDI 5/1'?

m

"TDI" is good. Sure, let's use that.

@twitter pumpers:

i already do that  Grin Not having thousands of followers but i keep it honest and i think that provides some value too. Most of those guys start tweeting when it's up 3 times. They are really not that good. I was tweeting uno when it was 0.003
Better grow my twitter than paying off some random twitter whales.
I take tips too Wink

i am a bit of a punk on twitter but i think people want that Wink

looks as if we are seeing some action now.

Cryptsy is on fire! I wonder how long it will take for the average price to burn through .005

My feeling is that it won't take long to burn through 005. Uno got a nice little bounce on CMC, but, historically, we're still too cheap vs USD.

guys, it broke 0.005 on cryptsy few seconds ago. No need to pay off shills on twitter. Most people don't like the twitter pumpers and it is seen as a negative if they pump it often times.

I wouldn't say it's important to have twitter celebreties pump uno on twitter. Why should it be? If they like to tweet about it, ok. But paying them for that? I wouldn't do that.

we don't want pump and dump. We want some stability on higher level.
I prefer constant growth over panic-action any day.

I agree with your thoughts, UNO is a great long-term play.  Slow and steady wins the race.

Just wanted to get others' perspectives...

longterm holders (what uno is rich of) are better than daytraders for us, i think. They can daytrade but when the majority is daytrading it, not so good.
Daytraders come and go. What upholds the coin really is the community (people that stick around).

Nah, we don't need those guys. Uno isn't some shitcoin that needs a pump.  We're approaching 3 months of upward longterm momentum based on fundamentals.

I don't begrudge those "fair pumps" where gamblers just show up and they're in and out in 4 minutes. They know what they're getting into. They redistribute the order book for a day, but it's no harm done really.   Real pumpers can do a lot of damage and give bad rep.  I hope Wolong doesn't show up again; he left a ton of bag holders who were selling for 2 months after the pump. We don't need that right now.

This was fun to watch. Smiley  Wasn't me, but I applaud the investor who understands the value of Uno in the .005's and 006's, and beyond.

As UNO fans, has anyone one here been approached by a crypto-pumper about pumping the coin? I'm talking recently, not the Wolong days...

Not yet. That is the hard part with uno, getting enough together to manipulate the markets. Even at this price, it wouldn't be anything crazy to do it, but more than i can dream of having. Now i am curious, has anyone talked to you about a pump BtcCharlie?

Yes, a twitter user who is a pumper with over 10k followers said he would be glad to promote an UNO pump for a "chunk" I do not know what a chunk amounts to as I have not yet replied.

I did not yet reply because I did not want to unilaterally act for the cause without first consulting the community.  I see an opportunity to put forth a "chunk" to help promote UNO to a number of individuals in the twitter feed.  If 1% of his / her followers picked up 100 UNO each, that would really drive some volume, thereby pushing up the market cap stats, ergo potentially drawing further attention of regular crypto watchers...

However, I also see a possibility of hurting UNO by someone running a pump for profit and then dumping thereby sending the value down in panic selling ultimately hurting the coin more than the pump had helped. One of UNO's main virtues is slow growth and stability.

Thoughts?

I should also note that I am in UNO for the long-term...at least until 1 UNO = 10 BTC, then I might have to sell some...

I can't say i ever considered what is taking place with bitcoin currently. Inflation will be an interesting. It can only really be countered by new adoption or destruction of existing coins, in terms of raising each coins individual value. I certainly think bitcoin is often viewed as "too big to fail" to use popular terminology, which we can see isn't really the case, or at least it is subject to the same types of swings many other coins have been.

To keep it related, Uno does seem to fare rather well regardless of how bitcoin seems to be doing. Which is rather refreshing, a lot of coins suffer just as much, if not more.

To say 'bitcoin fails' is a bit over board.

Lol. One day i hope i can say bitcoin tried, but uno did it better Grin
