COIN001: I'm still interested in buying a DVC held by a trusted trader on my behalf and I'm bidding 12 UNO.

@ Benefactor and cragv: it goes without saying that I will underwrite this; and we will eventually iron the wrinkles out.

NXT client crashed overnight at some point. Behind the 'NRS is exiting' lightbox, I can see the blockchain is up to 04/02/2015 so it's almost there. I've just killed the wallet and fired it back up again...
...to be prompted to update to 1.4.11 -_-

1.4.14 out today

Last night I had to log in three or four times before the Assets information would load properly. Was a pain in the arse.

@Benefactor: I couldn't trade like this outside of a trust network. If you'd like your UNO back and the trade cancelled, that's completely understandable. Am happy to send back to you upon request. Otherwise, I am watching the Nxt Wallet processing blocks from height 0 (is now up to 65000) - I think closing it before must have interrupted it somehow and now it wants to index everything. Computer + internet crawling here while I try to get work done. Have switched to other computers in the meantime. Gah.

(Thanks for your patience!)

You guys will be infuriated to learn that I have had no trouble with Nxt recently -- and if it ever seems slow, I close and re-open it, which often seems to work.

m
@IMZ I have the same experience as you.  Although I have not had to open and close it. I think a lot of the issues stem from Internet reliability and speed.

Bene 0023 -- still waiting for the 9 Uno to turn up. All well.
317 confirms on the 9 UNO, buddy, and cragv has confirmed he received them.  You mean waiting on his 1 DVC for me in your bursar's account.

Beg pardon, B. Yes: waiting for the DVC to turn up. (Wasn't in five minutes ago.)

It's doing that now. Going by replies in this thread, I have to endure another two updates yet until we get to 1.4.13. I now know to wait until I'm logged in and will then exit the wallet again. It should prompt for the next two updates one by one and then I should be done. Hopefully. Thanks for waiting, Benefactor.

The Size of Trades on Un-Ex: I suggest that we slowly move to trading 'packets' of coin. For example, 'a quarter' would be the amount of Uno that you get for .25 Btc. These larger transactions -- I'm talkin' months and months down the track -- will make unimportant the clunkiness of this model. Don't think 'hobbyist stall at the market.' Think 'Renowned Players!'

That's an excellent point. Love it.

@ Coinaday: yeh, that trade is complete. Here is the trade-tracker, the actual exchange:

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/14hftnJ_crV9flLcUKaPqwEfTLKJme3R8jVeUJtudQSw/edit#gid=495759384

Do we have branches on Reddit yet? Well, All Hail Cragv, our tech-support officer for Un-Ex. He's working on a model that will 'marshall' trading to the trade-tracker. Stay tuned.

[The Unobtanium 'core community' 'owns' this enterprise. I do a lot of the daily admin. Ian Ridgwell is our Bursar. Cragv has stepped up to do a lot of the tech development. Benefactor and Bitcoin Charlie work ceaselessly. But no one is in charge!]

Coinaday! I am so very pleased to see you here!

Giveaways? No -- and it wouldn't work. The crowd here is way sophisticated. A few free coins isn't gonna rock their world (you are free to ask on our 'main threads.' This is a task-specific thread).

Meanwhile, though, any TT here is entitled to post trades in any trading-pair. Indeed, we encourage it strongly!

Hi Un-Ex.

I kept trying to write a short introduction and failing at keeping it short.

So this is just a brief hello and a question. Is it all right to do giveaways here to promote trading a coin I hold a significant portion of? Basically free money to test out trades so I can get you guys to try the coin and do exchanges between the two coins I have significant quantities of (UNO and this other coin). I haven't actually traded on the UNO blockchain before, so this would be a useful learning exercise for me just in that as well.

I have read bits of this thread and have been thinking about this exchange for a while, since IMZ linked me to it on reddit (I'm /u/coinaday (Reddit)). In fact, it was a major part of the inspiration to me finally buying silver and holding it.

I should really read through all the pages of history here, but I just haven't had the time or taken the time yet to do it. Someday(tm).

Edit: What are the latest asks and offers for DVC? I'll buy. I want to spend some UNO on something and may as well try it out. :-) IMZ's last post on page 69 has a crazy low number listed on it. I'll pay first whatever is needed to a trusted trader.

Oh, also, can I not have to hold it? Is anyone offering escrow of DVC? I don't want to deal with the Nxt client, sorry. ;-p I know it's picky but I like this exchange and would rather use the trust system here than the code there. :-)

Edit 2: So reading through the last page or so, it looks like it's been traded for 9 or 10 UNO.

COIN001: I'll offer 12 UNO for an escrowed ownership of a DVC. You take possession and hold for me 1 DVC on Nxt / this thread / the exchange as a concept after I send you 12 UNO. Open to any trusted trader.

Edit 3: IMZ, is this still open:

Trade 2015/2/8 will sell 10 Uno for 0.18 Btc

Will you do 1 UNO for 0.018 BTC? I can send first.

Edit 4: Has Un-Ex opened branches on reddit or anywhere else yet?

Are you downloading 1.4.13 the brand new one released yesterday I think(or thereabouts)

I'm using the Nxt Wallet 2.2.0, NRS Version: 1.4.8 (latest). Am downloading blockchain from when I last had it open, probably early Jan or late Dec sometime.
