Hey, Zelig. Please feel free to ask any questions!

One: have a look here: http://indiamikezulu.com.au/491/coretanium

Two: at this early early moment -- less than 2.0 Bitcoin pledged -- the funds are in my wallet: 1DG6gjrZ6XyzSUBA6GBrhra5FSQwkiQy7y

It is (as it will be with 'equity DVC,' and as it is at this moment with Guyinanutshell's 'frozen UNO') the duty of everyone to check those wallet balances.

There are no if or buts: if you are ever caught without the pledged funds available, you are busted.

Three: good question! We are still discussing it. My thought? Have a look at the 365-day chart, at last December. Uno drifted down to .005, right to the 'base line' it had maintained since the Wolong pump finished on March 28, 2014. I would hate to see Unobtanium ever drop below that line.

Four: we all have access to the funds -- that is, we'd vote on their deployment; but I could run off to the Bahamas with that $300 worth of coin at any time.

I think that the Core-tanium funds should actually be in the wallets of those who pledge the amounts. What happened was . . . everyone piled in when we started discussing the idea, and the amounts just arrived in my wallet.

Five: my thought: as with Four above: better that the funds be in the owners' wallets; be put onto exchange floors by the owners; and the Uno purchased go back to those people.

Six: I have accepted Trade 63. PM me your Uno address. My Bitcoin address is in my signature. You will (I think) need 3 completed trades to become a TT. I will help you all the way. (Zelig, no BS here: you are a known member of this community!)

Have a look here: http://indiamikezulu.com.au/454/list-of-trusted-traders

Woo hoo! Go, you!

Can anyone explain or is there an explanation somewhere of Core-tanium?

I have some specific questions.

Who maintains the Core-tanium account?
What are the triggers for using it?  For example, a swing of a certain percentage or dollar amount?
Where are the purchased UNO stored?
Who has access to them?
Do those UNO eventually go back onto the market and funds returned to the Core-tanium account?

Alright... I'm not real sure how Un-Ex works but want to give it a try.  Someone may have to walk me through the steps.  I just made an entry in the Un-Ex tracker.

Also - it's late here in Cali, so may have to catch me tomorrow afternoon.
I'm offline now for a while but in lieu of other replies tonight, check the About tab on the spreadsheet for an intro. More info to follow here soon. Welcome!

how many stars can a person get and what do they represent?

The first post of several at the start of this thread may be helpful here:

Your thoughts on a helpful rating-system, please:

So, five stars is 'no qualms about a trade of 500 UNO or a couple of 10-oz bars of silver'
Four stars is '250 UNO or equivalent'
Three stars is, say, '100 UNO or equivalent in silver'
Two stars is, say, '25 Uno or an ounce of silver'
One star is 'has made at least one trade'

Something like this?

I am not in charge.

m.

Read the first 2-3 pages of this thread to get a feel for stars and the general development of the Un-Ex. It continues to evolve, of course.

Nice and simple, makes perfect sense thanks!

cheers

Thanks, Guy.

Don't worry too much about the stars thing. In essence, you can't trade here if you aren't a TT; and beyond that -- 2, 3, 4 stars -- indicate just how experienced/trustworthy a TT is.

You will very quickly get the hang of this.

I am not in charge.

Three trades to earn one-star TT status

have we discussed this? It's time, I think.

My opinion follows, with debate or constructive criticism invited: Three trades for TT status is preferable, yes. Also, because we're building a trust-based network (as opposed to an automated, 'trustless', black box system), it shouldn't be an automatic Trusted Trader status after three trades. Rather, I'd be looking for some measure of personal investment in the project/community, such as a bit of a presence here in the thread (ie. the odd post here and there that demonstrates you're onboard and interested) and importantly, that there's consensus between at least a few TTs that the new person is 'in'.

In the current format, getting a 'second' here in the thread for a new member is a good implementation of this idea. If we move to another format (website or whatever), I'd still be looking for a way to facilitate the person-to-person style of building trust and community rather than implementing automated steps, so to speak.

= we use the technology to achieve the trust network, but the network isn't the tech itself. If a 'trustless' exchange goes offline (ie. Cryptsy, Bittrex, etc.), that exchange is offline. If the Un-Ex interface in whatever form goes offline, the community continues - just with some inconvenience of falling back to a spreadsheet, forum thread, emails/PMs, or whatever else. Trust is the difference, so it should be central to how we build things.

--
Just a quick edit to note that there's an outline of the above process already on the About tab of the Trade Tracker. If there's anything on that page which is unclear or different from your idea of how things should be, please quote it here and share your ideas about!

"if only we could get some people to let go of there UNO lol"

Actually . . . no:

the central theoretical position in play here, Guy, is that ultimately the Unobtanium community -- and I specifically mean the 'core' community [you know who you are!!] -- can make a million times more money by running enterprises.

All the while, Unobtanium will be 'back of house' (radiating 'Strong Reputation,' 'Reliable Store of Wealth'), and we will be 'on the front porch,' doing business in a range of cryptos. And fiat. And bullion. And land.

That is, a 'suite' of instruments in use in The Mall by the dynamic and trust-connected cast of characters slowly but surely developing here,

Purty durn exciting!

EDIT I do remain merchant-network-development oriented. Transactions 'validate' an instrument as an instrument. (Would you invest in a crypto that had never had a single one of its units shifted from one wallet to another?) So Uno will be used to buy stuff. Big ticket stuff. Preferably bullion. (Look up the word 'cachet.')

Whoa! Warp speed! Note the updated 'Daily Post.' Cragv again.

I just noticed the Sell price in the Solid figures needs dividing down to make the price make sense (1 Uno isn't worth over 1 BTC... yet!)

-
Also, I noticed billpayforcoins.com this morning. It does what it sounds like - log in, enter your bill payment details and send them your BTC, LTC or XDG and they pay your utility, mobile rent, and other bills. That's another thing to latch onto, possibly.

Sounds like a cool concept, if only we could get some people to let go of there UNO lol

cheers
