diff is 3 so for me solomining is out of the question, cannot find a working pool yet:(
http://pool.webcoin.us/flt/
Works perfectly, problem is they have like 95% of the net hashrate.
yeah thats a major issue, part of the forking problem right there.

Why is this coin not getting more attention?  Shocked

The dev is really only active over at cryptocointalk, not here. He didn't even post it here at all, not for launch nor after, a third party did. I'm not sure if he's trying to keep it quiet so diff is low for a bit or what, but it is something different, that's for sure! One unfortunate situation is a guy with 220mH has been on it since launch, and was (still is? haven't checked) the majority of the network for days... so as far as distribution of coins... there's a pretty big FLT dump coming from him if this thing hits an exchange.

The launch at cryptocointalk was strategic - I wanted to alleviate any issues before taking on a larger scale influx of mining.  I dealt with the whole CAP clone forking with CGB last year, though CGB never had more than a few little forks, but we were watching it and scouring the code like hawks.  But I knew with the faster block times relative to NVC (I used NVC as a base obviously) there could be issues.

And it was a good idea LOL because there were a lot of issues with forking by the pools, I think this release should help with that, and there are additional features to be added to the address/box matching routines, just have been busy dealing with the forking.

I saw that guy with the 220 Mh/s which was crazy, if I had 220 mH, I'd be going for the sure thing. I only have 4.5 mH LOL

Thanks for posting this thread LOL been so busy, haven't had time to reply.

I am hoping any of the forking issues will be solved in this release v0.4.5.0 for good, none of my nodes or mining wallets etc have been out of sync in the last  3 days since the previous update, and this update should increase the stability.

There are additions to the block/address matching functions as well, adding another avenue for rewards, just waiting for confirmation that the forking issues ave been resolved (mostly these were caused by pools)

I'm using 64 bit of the 4.5.0 version and have had no problems at all. I just deleted everything in the appdata folder except config and wallet and resintalled.

Same procedure for me and 64 bit is working fine.

Just updated, are you guys using the 32 or 64 bits windows version?
I had troubles with 64 bits on launch (0.4.4.7 I think, it crashed on startup), and been using the 32 versions since.

Release v0.4.5.0 Mandatory Update

Thanks for keeping the thread updated.

Can you shorten the subject of the thread?
So it looks a little cleaner, Just:
[ANN] FlutterCoin (FLT) POW, POS, and NEW Proof-of-Block

Well, I try to make it a bit more informative than that, but I see what you mean, it's getting too crowded indeed.
Let me see what I can do.

I'm looking to buy up to 1 BTC worth of Fluttercoin for 0.00000050 BTC/FLT.

I believe this is a fair valuation, based on the ~5,500,000 FLT inflation per day in the first year of mining.

That price is between 1/7 and 1/10 of the fair value. Smiley For that amount, it may not even be worth the electricity it in some places.
Let's do some calculations.

If you look at this:
http://pool.webcoin.us/flt/statistics/pool
you will see that right now you can make around 2750 FLT / MHs / day, and that is going down as the diff rises.
At your price that would be around 0.001375 BTC / MHs / day or $0.80 / Mhs / day.

Now go HERE and see what are the going rates / Mhs / day for other scrypt coins.

As you can see, the decent coins with no innovation range between $5 an $7 /Mhs / day (not counting the electricity). Note: this may vary from the time of my post.

This one has the benefit of being an innovative coin with a dedicated dev. I would value it right now at around $8 - $10 / Mhs / day, meaning 500 sat, ten times more than what you offered. Of course, that is if I would want to sell. But since this coin is Proof of Stake (variable with coin age) I think I'll hold my early mined coins for a while, unless I'm offered around double the going rate for normal scrypt coins.

I have 245K FLT I'm willing to sell PM me offers. If we can work out a price, you send me Bitcoin I send you Fluttercoin, we can do it in small transactions if you like.

I'm interested.  Is there a block explorer where I can check transactions?

I think this is the only block crawler so far http://explorer.fluttercoin.us/block_crawler.php
