I'll be there, and look forward to the surreal experience of being entirely surrounded by people who actually know what Bitcoin is.

Yeah thats going to be weird, my wife still has trouble accepting that I do something legit and it's bitcoin that pays the bills. I think she's expecting the police to show up any moment.

How ironic.

LOL +1 to astute Wifey & lets hope that it's only the polies that show up if he doesn't get a move on & send the issuers their client info.

Well I was there at the pre-show tonight at Antalya. Not too shabby. Surprisingly busy and jam-packed: easily at least 70 attendees in that little resto space! Maybe nigh on 100?

Not sure who from the forum I met, though (Amir aside). At times one could barely hear oneself think but it was a good starter course! Smiley Roll on tomorrow.

I'd say there was 100-130 people there. Was so busy we waited 1 and 1/2 hours for food, I was starving by the time I got it. I'm really enthused if this is how many show up in the pre-event.

Any body got any plans for today? I'd love to meet some other early arrivers. I guess I'll head down to Leiceter square (again) and join the hackathon people. Unless something more exciting comes along Wink

We had the first day of the hackathon, although we didn't really do any hacking, spending most of it talking about bitcoin policy and then a nice curry.

I will be there... bit of a small fry compared to some of you longer term forum members and Bitcoin adopters, but I will be there representing www.ppcointalk.org and happy to meet some fellow bitcoin users Smiley

Hope everyone has a great convention and enjoy Smiley

I'm a b1tc01n n00b but I'll be there! (Just as long as I'm not stupid enough to miss the train I've booked on Friday.)

Slightly dark-skinned with very dark brown eyes and well over 6' tall, I'm not too inconspicuous.  Grin

Looking forward to interacting with or listening to peeps who know where this ship's headed! (If anyone really does know.)

I'm selling tickets for €60 in bitcoins via PM. You pay first unless I know you or I can put it on bitmit.net if you want escrow.

I booked through the excellent www.airbnb.com & found a cool place about 10 minutes walk away for well under £500 (including fees) for 8 nights.

me and 3 other people booked in a 6-bed dorm in a hostel called "Smart Russel Square". Quite affordable (GBP 25 per night I think), don't expect any luxury. http://www.smartbackpackers.com/ (be careful, they have different locations).

We booked separately. If you put "Bitcoin" into comment, maybe you'll get booked into our room.

PM me for more info.

We chose this hotel, which is cheap but should be good value. It's walking distance from the conference venue.

Where will you people stay? The Prague conference had an agreement with a hotel, this one does not seem to have made any agreement, but the site does mention this hotel: http://www.imperialhotels.co.uk/
Apparently it's close to the conference venue.
www.imperialhotels.co.uk covers a number of hotels in the area. I booked at the one called President (Russell Square, London, WC1N 1DB), which is very close to the venue.

Bitcoin Magazine team will be staying in Imperial.

Check out their weekend deal. As far as I remember for 150£ you get two nights, can extend to 3rd night for 50£ and this includes a bunch of perks like some free drinks and some free dinners. It is what we've booked.

Word of warning, this is London, and you should not expect much of quality for this money.

There is a wide range of options for accommodation within walking distance of the conference premises. See on http://booking.com . I picked Wardonia Hotel.

Oh, thanks for clarifying. So those names are not just room categories, but different hotels, and the closest one to the conference is the Royal National whose single rooms are at 81 pounds per night, that's it?

Why did you book in the President and not the Royal National if you don't mind me asking?
Meh, don't remember. Had to pick something. I'll only use it for storing my underwear and a little sleep  Grin
