very well said.. crypto is not going anywhere, it is a fantastic discovery (blockchain) I don't even care about prices/exchanges I just collect as much and as fast as I possibly can all across the coins minus 400 from the top on market cap anything I can get my hands on

so does the c-cex, but in its special way...

I laughed.  Audibly.

Would be funnier if it weren't true...; )

Really upset about losing my coins on c-cex

Oh well, I've lost crypto to scams before and no doubt will lose more in the future.

Bought in again on Polo but will be a while before I make up my losses.....

Sorry to hear that.  Undecided

Crypto in general is a gamble. Those of us that have been in it long enough have all been burned from time to time. As much as it sucks, we just have to move on.

Good luck

It was only the wind.
that's normal: all the faster whirlpoolx miners use cpu to precompute part of the hash, see the public wolf miner for details.
on a side note, I measured a system running both with a supercheap sempron and a powerful fx: exactly the same idle power consumption, so no reason to make sempron rigs.

Also, not normal for it to max out the CPU, unless the CPU is just terrible...

with things like smelter we'll soon witness
the creation of new nerd species - migratory miners,
similar to migratory cranes and such.
summer to Groenland, winter back to Turkey

They already migrate - due to profit. Just in a far less predictable fashion.

So if a person is minting roughly .25/day (average), that's roughly 91.25 annually which means that person is holding ~ 13k VNL?

I'll keep sending to myself and try to get at least 1 mint.

So if I have had my wallet unlocked and running for 2-3+ days at a time, and still not have received any stake rewards with a decent amount staked (again, unlocked wallet), it's safe to say something is NOT working properly?

Windows 8 if it matters, connected and synced properly. The number of connections has increased for me, 8 --> 17

What should I do? I picked vanillacoin to invest in because I like it, and it shows promise. But if I can't stake, I might as well just move the assets over to something that works for me. DMD is a no go because cryptsy. Magi, perhaps.

sounds like it's just stuck. sometimes mine will just sit there for hours, then an incoming payment and bang! 3 minutes later some stake. VNL functionality is kind of 'fuzzy' i think. takes some getting used to neway. maybe try a restart or 2 or send yourself some coin from another loc ...

seems to be working good for me

I think you need to leave the wallet open all of the time, if I am interpreting correctly.

Can anyone tell me what'swrong with diff? It jumps like a crazy
It's preventing "insta-mine" type behavior from the large hash swings and doing it's job extremely well.

Thank you for your support.

0 connection on wallet, can i have some node?

Check your firewall, the wallet doesn't need a config or nodes. Works out of the box.
Port?

One of the differences from all other coins is that it uses a random port.  As groggin said, config.dat will tell you which port it's using.

I seems our vanillacoin are lost. I have bought some there before the warnings and the c-cex owner just seems to have definitely lost the coins  :

Hello! Apologies for being late with this answer.

VNL wallet is beta software with lot's of issues inside and unfinished functions supplied by dev without any warany and support. We had lot's of problems with VNL wallet and spent many hours to resolve it. The last problem when wallet refused to send coins having enough balance in it (returning "connection input failed" message) could not be solved without dev help. Instead of collaboration JohnConnor refused to help to fix his software and posted this: https://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/130/c-cex-de-list-request/4
So we removed wallet from exchange without any chance to fix wallet and send VNL balances to users. According to our rules https://c-cex.com/?id=terms this is exactly the case when we had to remove wallet without any compensation. HoneyBadger honestly offered us to help fixing this problem and we already negotiating our terms of collaboration with him. We give no guarantee but it is possible he can solve a problem with wallet and send us sendable coins so we can compensate user balances.

Thanks!

Yes, but he was unable to help. It's broken.

Sadly this isn't true, their exchange lost the coins and he prefers to push the blame.

Please ask them to give an official statement, as soon as he gives one where he tries to push the blame, the truth will be given out.
