=== NODE IS OK! ==
Mister Connor. There is an issue in Windows - if you click to unlock twice, enter password and then on the other popup screen (it pops up twice) you press cancel, the client freezes

Question: If I have a super peer with 10k coins and have another 8k coins, can I have another wallet that just stakes and is not a super peer on the same IP/home network as the super peer and not have a rewards penalty?

Jimlite, I think this explains that situaution.
https://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/249/node-incentive-help

I did not really fully understand that thread. I just seem to get less rewards on my super peer than avg by far, and was wondering if it was because I also am running a regular staking wallet on the same network/IP?

Yes, it's hard to find out what is causing what problem because super peer rewards are based on luck rewarding system and it's hard to recognize does something is caused by bad luck or is it some real problem, error, ... That's why I was talking from the start that pool based (equal to all for each block) reward system would be better. Anyway that is still my oppinion. Last few days number of super peers went down from almost 200 to something more than 150 so we should get more rewards but rewards are inconsistent and talks about averaging is nonsense for those with only 1 superpeer. My home PC superpeer got only 1 reward in 2 days and it seems as worst place for superpeer, 2 VPS got none in 24 hours while one got 4 rewards, so yes averaging works but...

i'm doing that - 1 wallet w/10k, another in another user account w/less, both are running, i'm getting stake and rewards, but i can't answer your question  Tongue

Is there a way to tell which address sent you coins from the client?
Or to be able to tell which address coins were sent to?

I would like to be able to use cryptopia to retail a few items, but I dont want to use the the blockchain explorer to figure out who sent which coins.
Please use the official forums for these types of technical questions. Cool

Thank you for your support.

He already promised it would be in this quarter.
Yes, I did. Some projects are already in QA. They will all be Ninja launched when we are satisfied with the results. Cool

Nice to get some info on the mixer Wink I just meant CoinJoin wasn't so far used well, the basic implementation which people used lacked always something.
Yes, the example here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CoinJoin is flawed and like most implementations you can match inputs and outputs because the denominations differ. Cool

Any rough ETA you may want to give on the DarkPP release?
Dark++ is a framework, so it will come in stages.

Thank you for your support.

Ok, so when you can give us the nearest stage?

One dark application will come within the next 3 months approximately.

See the 4-month timeline announced 3 weeks ago: https://talk.vanillacoin.net/topic/221/4-month-timeline

can we simply have more information about darkpp please ? how it suppose to work? Its an mixer ? side chain ?

It's a mixer most probably (according to some of the file names and code bits on github) and will probably bring a certain level of anonimity to transactions if I had to make a guess. I doubt it's going to be CoinJoin or something equal basic though.

BTW if you would open a topic on talk.vanillacoin.com about the DarkPP questions I'm sure you will get a faster response from John. You asked here 3x already in 2 pages with no luck.
There is nothing wrong with CoinJoin, it is 100% anonymous when denominations are identical.

Let me show you:

Code:

array unblended_txs = { transaction("A", "B", 25), transaction("B", "C", 25), transaction("C", "A", 25) };

for (auto & i : unblended_txs)
{
    for (auto & j : i.outs())
    {
        tx_blended.outs().push_back(j);
    }

    for (auto & j : i.ins())
    {
        tx_blended.ins().push_back(j);
    }
}

random_device rd;
mt19937 g(rd());

random_shuffle(tx_blended.ins().begin(), tx_blended.ins().end(), g);
random_shuffle(tx_blended.outs().begin(), tx_blended.outs().end(), g)

transaction tx_final = tx_blended;

In the blockchain you would not be able to tell which input belongs to which output.

It would go from:
Code:
Transaction:
A 25 => B 25
B 25 => C 25
C 25 => A 25
to:
Code:
Transaction:
B 25 => C 25
C 25 => B 25
A 25 => A 25

...with no way to put them back into original order you cannot tell who sent who which one.

Thank you for your support.
