For this new system, 10k coins seems like quite a lot -- I was expecting maybe 5k at the most!  Others may have thought the same thing; going to have to do battle on the exchanges now while the price is rising.

Vanillacoin very nice and I like it because there is no dump excessive, and prices tend to be stable.

When will the Node Incentives go live?

Node Incentives will go live with 1% of PoW reward with block 210,000. Estimated time: 09/19/2015 11:03:22 - 21h 12m 1s


What do I need to be able to get rewards?

- You will need a wallet with 10000 Vanillacoins when block height will be > 220,000

- Your router needs to have the port open that you have in your config.dat file (Windows: Local Disk (C:) > Users > Your User > AppData > Roaming > Vanillacoin)

- Your wallet needs to have a 15 min uptime currently (should be increased later)


What are the rewards?

The exact reward structure can be found in the links above, but the range is 1-40% of the PoW rewards


Can I stake with the amount of coins that is sent to the wallet for the Node Incentives?

Yes, you can get both node incentives and staking rewards at the same time.


How can I spend the amount of coins sent to the wallet for the Node Incentives? Is it locked?

You can spend the coins anytime, they are not locked, but if you spend from them and don't reach the minimum amount needed you won't get the incentive rewards.


Do I need to unlock the wallet?

Unlock once after you sent the Vanillacoins needed, but you can relock it after


Any info about the Node Incentive via the wallet?

Type in console: getincentiveinfo


How much will system resources play a part in the incentive?

More bandwidth usage to spread the blockchain, & more daemon call (to send the blocks on the network)


What is the limitation for the Super Peers?

Only 1 Super Peer / IP adress is allowed

Exchanges like Poloniex and Bittrex have a no stake policy and they are US based registered exchanges, also please note that every exchange uses cold storage and high security measures which aren't compatible on how Super Peers should work.

They should of used VNL coin, people stop trusting third parties for payments when we have vanilla coin.

Latest on a Chinese exchange?

When the Chinese find out it sends in Zerotime Polinex goons won't be able to hold them back from buying.imo.


VNL needs some momentum whether people like it or not a coins success is tech and marketing, and the best marketing is a rising price. We should target the Chinese market asap.

Not that hard to do the math with the ago written

Message to any hidden pools: you need to be on 0.3.5 before 0.3.6 deployment, or you will get rejected (by old protocol usage)

So given the current PoW reward of 62 VNL and if all coin supply will be locked in nodes (which is unlikely) the incentive will be about 3.82 VNL/day per node when the percentage reaches 10% in like 42 days or so. Correct me if I'm wrong.

It would be great to have a graph or calculator of these rewards.

10k VNL ~2BTC at this price and ~6BTC at ATH not that much for my taste. Yes it could be 5k or even 1k, but seems John don't think that network needs that many nodes now and in the foreseeable future.
