Deadline for cryptocurrency? No way. Cryptocurrency isn't for impatience people. I am holding a few tokens for a long time. I had a target though but I leave it on Ledger. Not gonna touch unless I make some profits. Doesn't matter even not hit my expectations. And of course, there is no deadline. Just holding for profits. The only expected to make profits doesn't matter it take how long. That's why we say don't hold if you can't afford it.

Bitcoin is a long term investment, you don't need to expect your expectations in a short term run,if not you will be disappointed and frustrated. If you invest now after 4-5 years time you will be smiling.

It doesn't have to be a long-term investment, because if you choose the entry point well, after a few months you can make 100% profit or more. Of course, people want a lot more than that, and sometimes it takes a lot more time than a few months for that. Those who invest today could have a smile on their face even in 2+ years, because if Bitcoin reaches a price of only $100 000, that means more than 400% profit - and we know that the biggest bull runs happen right after the halving.

However, it should be warned that past events do not guarantee that the same things will happen in the future, so always be alert and smart with your investments. And not only that, be even smarter about the way you will store your private keys - a lot can happen in 2 years, and even more in 4-5 years.

Invest with your savings and not the money that you borrowed or for your upkeep to avoid depression and frustration. It is good to be educated first in a trade before you start trading.

I have read, followed and listen to so many people's advice on how to invest in bitcoin, and diversify your investment strategy but my portfolio is not giving me as joy as I anticipated at the beginning of this year. I know many people in this forum anticipated the same to make much money from crypto at the beginning of this year.

Maybe the much better piece of advice you would give them should be that people should avoid FOMO (which I think you did). Had you bought bitcoin in 2018, 2019 or 2020, you would be having a completely different perspective about this.

Don't wait for main stream media to start talking about Bitcoin's price surge before you buy it. Always buy when the noise is negative or when there's quiet like right now.

1. Remove all the deadlines you gave yourself to avoid depression.
2. If you didn't meet up your target before the end of this year, just pray and work hard.

In all you do, endeavour to set a standard goal, and if you fail to achieve all, readjust and bounce back.

Life is short and full of exploitation.

Breathe in and out we all still have a long way to go.
Expectation is really hurt. Sometimes we thought that we are going to achieve this and suddenly its not what we thought will happened. Well thats life, I guess. I already stop with that attitude and if the gains I am wishing given to me then I will be thankful, cause theres a lot of time I already expect and didnt receive those figures and earning an unexpected gains the least you expect it.

Did anyone that told you to invest in bitcoin told you about bitcoin halving,  bull and bear market and the right time the bull or bear time can probably occur? Just like this:

Why top tech stocks started to outperform bitcoin this summer??

2016, halving and bull
2017, bull
2018, bear
2019, bull and bear

2020, halving and bull
2021, bull
2022, bear
2023, bull and bear possibly

2024, halving and bull possibly
2025, bull possibly

If no one told you something like that, that is why you are not getting it. Know also that if you want to invest in bitcoin, you can hold it for like 2 years or more.

Bitcoin is not a get rich quick scheme, that is something that quite a lot of people must understand, it is a long term speculative asset, and if you are a speculator, i'm afraid you will have to set your goals of ROI in the long run, mind you also that Bitcoin never stops to serve the purpose for which it was created, and that is as a currency, whether bear time or bull period, it remains exactly that, a medium of exchange.

Having said that, i for one do not know the deadlines or targets you are talking about, you sound like you're gambling with different altcoins, mind you that's false diversification. Overall i rarely set goals with something as unpredictable/completely out of my control as cryptocurrencies, if i'm to set goals, i'd do that with RL stuff that i can somewhat control and work hard towards achieving.

As a human being, you are expected to have a target in life every given year. As time proceeds, it just seems our efforts are not going anywhere (stagnant at a place).
