Hi Guys,

Great article here from Bitcoin.com

I mean if you dispute Bitcoin.com, you shouldn't really be on this forum.

1 main point, the customer asked to NOT have the amount paid in one go..

reason: people will try to track down the transaction and eventually try to get to his wallet/chase him up. (exactly what PP went and did, so customer was right)

So out of respect to the customers wishes, we paid him out in many differing amounts so people could NOT follow the transactions.

regards,

Steve.
Sportsbet.io

Previously I thought Sportsbet was sufficient to prove the truth of the news about its user's winnings worth $42 million USD by showing proof of prize payment transactions.
(TX Hash), However, after you explain the reason, which is apart from the winner's request, it is also for security reasons, this makes us understand why you cannot show proof of the prize payment transaction worth $42 million USD.

Hi,

Yes. this is correct.

We hear stories a million times over about people winning lottery and then 4 years later are almost bankrupt. This is due to some generous people being taken advantage of when they come across some money.

So our customer has made a good decision here to keep private details to himself.

The customer has also declined a meet up at one of our sponsored events (Southampton, Newcastle) etc etc as he would like to spend time working on his newly formed future!

All the best to him, and we thank him for his custom at sportsbet.io

(It's impossible to have a microgaming account as a customer, its impossible to have a Global Games account, it is only possible to deposit and play at a given sportsbook.. That sportsbook was us, and we took the deposit, we took the action, and we paid out the winnings.)

Well Played SIR!

Steve.

Adequately put into perspective, Steve.

Of course it's impossible to have a Global Games account. Many casinos chip into the pot and give the money to Global Games. Global Games takes that money plus their own €2 million and pays the player in one lump sum without exception.

@Steve you can't pay the money since you don't hold the money.

The progressive jackpot doesn't come from just money lost at Sportsbet. Player's didn't lose €38,461,200.95 at Sportsbet. Global Games starts the pot off with €2 million. Then with play at Sportsbet and many other casinos, money is added to the pot. When a player wins the jackpot at Sportsbet or any other casino in the WowPot network, Global Games pays out the €2 million plus the money collected from all the casinos involved. Sportsbet has nothing to do with paying the player. Sportsbet doesn't hold the €38,461,200.95. Since Sportsbet isn't holding the money they aren't paying out USDT in installments as is being claimed. Global Games has all the money collected and they paid it out.

I wonder how many his lost count before the user hit the jackpot, but regardless it should be paid off knowing how huge that amount.
A huge congrats though.
It is not a fact how many times the user has placed a bet for the jackpot because the jackpot on on a single bet which was only 50. So, the theory is of 50$ nothing else and all the winnings stand for those 50$.

You are kinda right though the player did win the huge amount through Sportsbet.io and didn't have any issues with receiving his winnings which is why they definitely deserve partial credit in this case.

Their director also invited him to their HQ to treat him exclusively which is a good gesture from their side.
That must've been a really awesome experience being treated by the director of the Sportsbet and it's on the HQ because there's no way that something like that is going to happen to anyone plus the wins is something that will definitely change this man's life. He's also going to be the face of Sportsbet for awhile because of his win and I'm sure that whatever Sportsbet is investing in this guy aside from the wins is definitely going to be a big return for Sportsbet because they've made him a VIP and given the appropriate treatment. Sportsbet will be a really good place to invest if it ever goes public as a company.

Are Microgaming Jackpots Paid in Full?
Without exception, jackpots won at Microgaming slots are paid out in full. Even though there are some operators that stipulate the winnings above a specific amount to be paid in installments, this doesn’t apply for wins at progressive slots part of the Microgaming network. Winners of a progressive jackpot receive a lump sum.

I'm not wrong.
I was wrong. The jackpot is genuine. I was searching Sportsbet and the blockchain. Nothing came up so I originally thought it was fake. I kept looking and searched WowPot and then found out it was real. Games Global paid in euros.

No comment  Grin

Go read scam accusations. I searched Sportsbet and nothing came up. Steve implied there was an USDT transaction. There's no transaction. I then said the jackpot must be fake. I kept looking and found a WowPot paid out in euros. Sportsbet wasn't mentioned. Then I corrected my statement and said the jackpot is real and it was paid by Games Global. Go to another thread if you want to continue. Scams or my thread since you guys keep bringing quotes from those threads.

This was my original review of Sportsbet a couple a years ago.

Sportsbet is a big book with sponsorships of major soccer clubs. There are many betting options both pregame and live. Sportsbet is very popular here at bitcointalk.

The betting margins at Sportsbet are high. You won't find the best line on either side. There have been many complaints against Sportsbet but that comes with the territory of any good sized sportsbook. Most of the time that comes from disgruntled players but there may have been times where Sportsbet was incorrect. Many complaints have been posted where it was a he said, she said situation. A sportsbook needs to have solid proof of any infractions claimed. There are times when Sportsbet has provided no proof which makes it difficult to determine right or wrong. Sportsbet has confiscated both deposits and winnings. At other times they have just confiscated deposits. KYC has been asked for before these confiscations. Playing from a banned country will lead to a confiscation.

There are some other worrisome things concerning Sportsbet. It's a normal practice to require a one time rollover on deposits but Sportsbet has a rule of a 5x rollover if they suspect money laundering. If an account is inactive for 3 months, Sportsbet will send out a letter informing the player. One month after the letter, Sportsbet can charge a fee of 15% per month fee for administrative costs. In one section it states that Sportsbet may confiscate the balance after 180 days of inactivity. In another section it states one year. I don't know if the rules above have been invoked.

For the purposes of ratings, "A" and "B" books are recommended. There normally isn't any problems playing at a "C" book. "D" and "F" books should be avoided at all costs.

Sportsbet opens with a rating of "C".

Their director also invited him to their HQ to treat him exclusively which is a good gesture from their side.
Before this they invited other forum members as a VIP guests so many times in Beers with Steve, there are many evidence for that.

Agree with you. The player won through Sportsbet and it’s a great gesture on Sportsbet’s part to celebrate with the player.
Finally you admitted that you are wrong and that you did a lousy research.
Now you also need to correct C- low rating for Sportsbet in your list, and sorry for having to say that I don't agree with most of your ratings.  Tongue

I'm not wrong. I don't know why you want to argue but since you do, truth be told, Steve lied. Sportsbet scams posters by stealing winnings and deposits and it's a common occurrence. Close to once every two weeks at Trust Pilot and many times here. They have the lowest Trust Pilot score that I've ever seen at 1.7 with 75% giving a rating of 1. 1xbet is 2.1. Sportsbet refuses to show proof why they confiscate winnings. If you are going to ban a player, return his winnings and deposits. I have no problem with that. Sportsbet is one of the few that doesn't return money. Just let it go or bring it to scam accusations or my thread and we can talk facts without slinging mud. I tried to squash it here by praising Sportsbet for the party.

Peeps Place,

Why take something exciting for the entire Bitcoin community and try to spoil the fun by making it about yourself?

Steve never said "Sportsbet.io sent 42,000,000 USDT" from their own pockets.

He has no reason to lie about something so easily verifiable on the Blockchain (even YOU were able to verify it).

The huge prize was one of Games Global’s WowPot!™ progressive jackpots, which begin at 2 million euros but regularly grow to be much larger.  Cool Cool

Grin Grin The winning customer has since withdrawn his winnings and no doubt had a New Year's Eve party like never before!

We couldn’t be prouder to see a Sportsbet.io player win one of the biggest prizes in online casino history.  Grin Grin

It's not the community's fault that you don't understand how online casinos work (much differently than sportsbooks, fyi).

Not only is there not a lot of media on the Sportsbet case but this player hit the jackpot on Dec. 20 and Steve says he's already been paid his winnings of $42m before New Year's. It's also convenient that it was taped on video.
I agree with you that it's amazing that some believed Steve's story as given. It was like a herd of sheep. I searched for USDT transactions on the blockchain.
I was wrong. The jackpot is genuine. I was searching Sportsbet and the blockchain. Nothing came up so I originally thought it was fake.

That's a whole lot of FUD/fear mongering/garbage you've spewed in the past 48 hours.

The point is that a lucky customer logged into Sportsbet.io, won a record life-changing Jackpot and had no issues withdrawing their money.
You are grabbing information from what I said in someone’s scam accusation thread, picking and choosing different quotes to twist and confuse people. Go over there if you want to argue. Sportsbet’s involved in a lot of scams but this thread isn’t the place to discuss it. Everyone was confused in this thread so I tried to clarify. You are still confused because Steve did say Sportsbet paid.
