Friend of mine in this pool lost his password.  He sent the lost password email and all that with zero reply.  Is this pool dead and gone?  Is his BTC lost forever?

Mining since May 2011.
November 23, 2013, 09:40:38 AM
Im waiting on 1.05BTC

I look on the facebook page and people are complaing about not being able to withdraw 40 to 333BTC(in one case). I mean come on, you dont withdraw 333BTC and cash in when its at its highest that's like 195k.

I'm putting this down to a learning curve and set my Autopayouts a hell of a lot lower.
^^^^ THIS!
Pools are not banks. If you're still mining somewhere, adjust your payouts now.

And at this point, the value of BTC has gone vertical since the "security issue" of mid October, I highly doubt anyone is getting paid. It was ~$200 then and now ~$800, I'm sure they are like, "we're done, take the BTC and run". Although I wish they did come back, as this is another black eye on the community.

I hope for a payout and a new beginning,

i can live with following scenario: 50 % of the Funds payout now (equal to 35 BTC), the ofter 50 % later (but there must be a clear communication..). And 1 i will Donate to them. So i lost 8 BTC, 1 were spend and i will be happy...

But without any communication (not here, not by email, not by support and not by twitter) there will be NO solution ever...

I'm hoping for a new beginning not the end.

Really hope I can get both my nephews ~ .05 btc out of each of their accounts. 5 usb block erupters each working for a month and they can't get to it.

But they claim they cant restore balances
and in the mean time they are still mining with our Hashpower ( not mine i am not stupid enough to still point power at them ) but they are still finding blocks which can be seen by one of my previous posts

But I sent them Msgs and gave them a time limit to pay me by and that timelimit has come and gone.

So i am Hereby announcing that I am starting Legal action against the Person or Persons who Own 50BTC.com I will also be involving the US State Department and FINCen and The FBI as this now constitutes International Fraud on a VERY Large Scale

The problem with taking action is that we really don't know how much BTC each person is waiting on, because their database has been screwed up.

Either that or, I have quarter of a million USD of bitcoin waiting to pay out. I really doubt that is likely, because I have always squirreled away any coins from pools as soon as I reached payout thresholds. Unless you were somehow keeping your own records of your mining and expected payouts, I dont see how this would work, and even then that is most likely not evidence that could be used in any legal action.

This ^^

This is also why we won't get any btc because they cannot verify account balances. If the roll back the database (if they have a backup) they would have to calculate the payouts that were made from the time of the backup to when the payouts were frozen if they have that payout info. Then also all the mining people did from then untill now then would have to be added back to the balances which might be impossible or insanely time consuming to do as well.

Truth is we are the victem of a herd and a wolf found its way into 50btc and ate our btc.

Total Available Coins Between Both Accounts = BTC702.99743641 Which at the Current Price ( Coinbase ) of 707.30 USD each equals out to $497,230.09

Well I'll be taking 30% of that if you are to believe their database:

They are Still Generating Blocks and this is the Path of Funds

generated Blocks are going to the address
blockchain.info/address/198i5jrY1B4xGnQwbiDVuQzcq17thzaH1s
after the Coins Mature they are sent to
blockchain.info/address/1D9Jqaw77Ngsfj9x8pXjHEfHUY7Fxci5DE
Which the Current Balances of these Accounts are

blockchain.info/address/198i5jrY1B4xGnQwbiDVuQzcq17thzaH1s = Received transactions: 29, Received BTC: 702.99743641, Sent transactions: 26, Sent BTC: 627.63176466

blockchain.info/address/1D9Jqaw77Ngsfj9x8pXjHEfHUY7Fxci5DE = Received transactions: 1, Received BTC: 627.63176466, Sent transactions: 0, Sent BTC: 0

Total Available Coins Between Both Accounts = BTC702.99743641 Which at the Current Price ( Coinbase ) of 707.30 USD each equals out to $497,230.09

I agree, maybe legal actions are not needed. I think a letter first will reach them maybe. We can think about what to do when we know the owners and wrote them a letter. Communication is everything, and really i don't like lawyers etc.  Wink

Just a joke: We can call the NSA and they maybe got a record who have hacked them und who the owner is  Grin

Agreed. I know I am owed about 0.05, but there isn't anyway to prove that.

I think that we need to Start legal action, and if it takes getting the State Departments for our respective countries involved to put pressure on the owners then so be it, because i think if the Russian government started to put pressure on them to pay then they might actually pay

Please Reply to this comment with your Location and Country so that we can see how many countries are gonna be involved in this Legal action

And For US people Please Send me a PM with your Contact info as i will be Contacting the State Department with the US government to start inquires into tracking the Owners of 50btc.com

It is Good to have Friends that work in the Federal Government and to be able to call Favors on  Grin

I am happy to see that you have come around.  Unfortunately, I doubt we'll see much of the btc returned. There have been other bigger scams that have occured with no coin ever returned to their rightful owners.
