While you're at it can you post your social networking details and open them up to the public (Facebook etc)... True, and I agree with this but the anonymity of bitcoin depends on how you use it, and you can be very secure if you're careful, but not if you're not

The amounts of crypto I have are small enough to get into the "nothing to hide" category.
If I'd have 100k BTC, I could just make 1000 wallets and nobody would care about me.
If I'd rob an exchange or I'd be a drug dealer I'd just switch everything to Monero.

In the end the true prevailing anonymizing feature will not be something run over a Altchain (I question the purpose of existence of every Altcoin that only promotes an anonymizing feature), but rather a protocol like the currently still unreleased Zerocoin/Zerocash, or the recently tested "Coin Shuffle" will bring anonymity in a much more convenient and consistent manner directly on the Bitcoin blockchain.
