Dig your freedom
Looks fine but price.
I do not want to be a bad prophet, but on Monday we will see new lower price in Bitfury shop (MBP and BFSB). I assume about 300EUR for the H-Board 30-40Gh
Likewise Avalon. May all of us be surprised low price. Especially that BTCGarden produces huge amounts of their ASIC for pennies at 110nm.

We all get it is "INSANELY" overpriced.

What I do like about these fabricators is that they are not INSANE or INSANELY rude and are willing to offer something up knowing full well the limits of the difficulty and the costs of production. Using loaded language doesn't help inform the community with regards to the sellers constraints nor does it really convey the intent of the seller. These guys are not ASICminer... or BFL or AVALON... those were INSANELY OVERPRICED units given the delivery failures  of the last two or off the shelf prices of the first company.

These guys are putting out a reasonably priced product in terms of the cost of production and "profit" they hope to achieve. Those who want to scream and shout that everything is 'INSANELY' overpriced seem to me are losing sight of what is arguably more important and that is to have sellers that are not ASICminer, BFL and AVALON who have already proven to consistently under deliver, over promise or price gouged our community. There is value in supporting "INSANELY" overpriced fabricators like Bobsag3, KnC, BlueFury, Bi-Fury, BuzzDave, KnC etc over the companies I have mentioned above. Some of these people really do give a shit about the product and try to be fair within reason with the community and it is demonstratively better we support them as long as they continue to be reasonable and ethical to the community.

At this point if you want to be constructive or help educate the wider community and save people the MOST money and pain:

* Get more people to file FTC complaints against BFL.
* Work to get AVALON to refund people they still owe units or chips to.
* BOYCOTT Avalon GenII and future chips in an effort to send them the message the community isn't going to take that sort of ineptitude.
* Support groups who try and provide units at a more reasonable pricing compared to ASICminer astronomically and wildly over priced Block Erupters were.

In my mind there are some battles worth fighting particularly with respect to ASICminer, BFL and Avalon.

We all know how to calculate "ROI" by now but it might be better to post the actual $ or BTC vs Mining Revenue for life of the unit. Do we need to see it is INSANITY to buy a unit for each and every fabricator? No. So at the very least be more creative or target the real problem companies for the community. If it is not FAIR VALUE... then post the numbers and state why. Vilifying the wrong companies if you ask me is not really that helpful in fact if you are doing that I would suspect it is more a ploy to reduce mining overall more than a PSA to the community. What is your real motive?

Your rite, I realize that I was not contributing to the previous conversation and I should have not responded after my question was answered about a price drop.
I apologize for taking this thread off track.
I have to admit, I did exactly what annoys me all the time. I don't have an alternative motive here I was simply just putting my foot in my mouth. So again i apologize.

Where have I seen this post before?

Probably in every thread you read, doesn't make it any less true...
You could just buy blades for about the same price, have them the next day and start losing money faster  Roll Eyes

Except the part where a avalon mini uses 600w+ by itself, almost 10w/ghash. This is 10 times as efficient.

Avalon, eww.

Your real competition is MegaBigPower with 30 GH/s @ 2.5 BTC.

Or even the Drillbit system that will start shipping buy the end of the week with just a little less per GH/s and the same power usage. But I still just cant see $20gh making money ever, even if its running off no electricity. Never mind making a profit but never even coming close to breaking even. The Avalon example at $13gh will make more back today then this will ever make and even that is high.
So even if you have to pay .15kw/h with the avalon and started mining today you would lose about $290, now if you had your unit in hand today and didnt pay a penny for power you would lose about $383.
I was only trying to see if you had plans to adjust your price to in the ball park to something your customers could break even with. Even with the more efficient power use the +30% higher price still makes it not add up for me. But maybe Im missing something here.
On the other hand Im stoked that you guys are getting such efficient power use with these chips, it gives me great hope for the future and I do agree that this is a great selling point.

Yeah. Also, we need to adjust the BTC price to come inline with the USD price anyways.

Do you think we will see a price reduction considering Avalon is selling in hand 60Gh/s units for 4BTC?

I'd love to get into these.  It looks like a genius design.  I just can't for this price point.  I know you said to go elsewhere with this kind of talk but I just wanted to chime in and say I'm extremely interested and I'll be keeping an eye out for the price to come down on these.

UPDATE: Two Credit Card Processors and Paypal has closed our accounts due to "risks associated with bitcoin hardware sales." We are not naive and we have reason to believe that these are actions from the Financial Industry to depress bitcoin mining hardware sales.

It's not their fault, they're just minimizing risk. BFL has utterly destroyed the reputation of bitcoin mining hardware by causing vast amounts of chargeback due to failing to deliver.
No kidding.
Hes serious tho- Hes lost 2 CC processors and his paypal account, and both my paypal accounts (personal and business) have essentially been taken out.

On good news, I should have all the boards Wednesday afternoon! They are all packed up at the factory, ready to ship in the morning via UPS Express to me.

So how would someone go about hooking one of these up to a desktop asif it were usb and not SPI Connection? Or do i seriously need to buy a RPi just to run one of these
Im very intrested in the product!
You will need a rPi to run at least one board, yes.

I assume rPi running MinePeon will work on your product? BTW, I recognize those power adapters as Lancelot adapters. Holding out hope that barrel plug power from PSU will work equally well.
I can make no guarantees as so functionality with other miners, besides the version of CGminer on the rpi that Kano is dev'ing.

Now with every order of 4 or more boards (Per 4)
http://www.cardreaderfactory.com/shop/atx-to-dc-power-adapter.html
Will be included. Also each board will be coming with an empty Green power adaptor (like ASICMiner Blades do).

Last software revision had each board doing 38+ghash, so we are well on track to deliver promised hash rate or more (very alpha software). First shipments to me from BA should be Sunday Night CST time (Monday morning in HK) so I should be able to start reshipping these as soon as they arrive!
