No. I've had (and still have) a lot of contact with BPB and I'm 100% sure that he is not an alt of QS. He writes nowhere close like QS does, nor does anything else matches.

QS's alts have had different writing styles. You are stupid or naive.

Or. Based on the 100 times you gave BiPolarBob trust more likely you are a paid cronie.

Need more evidence?

Well I sent him a PM and said that my alt was in default trust. Guess what? He asked me if I needed any Amazon or Steam.
That's easy to say. Anything to back that up?

His kindness is only to people who can give him green trust. I'd say he cares about it plenty!
That must be why he was giving away free BTC yesterday.

He has been verified twice by 2 members, (See Mitchell's post) and those Amazon cards were bought from Gyft, which is a trusted site that sells gift cards, and all his purchases on gyft were made using bitcoin, which is irreversible.

You seem very slow so let me explain it again. YES those were verified as valid. I never denied it. But that was a long time ago. Everything after that is likely carded & stolen. He knew he didn't have to prove himself again.

Maybe because he doesn't care if he gets negative trust? And just wants to offer you an Amazon/Steam gift card because he is a kind person.

His kindness is only to people who can give him green trust. I'd say he cares about it plenty!

With all the drama surrounding QuickSeller, Badbear has recently stated that QuickSeller doesn't have any notable alts that BadBear knows of. (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.12358580)

THAT HE KNOWS OF.

Hello friends

I have done more investigating on this scammer and discovered nobody has verified the source of his gift cards (except once by a forum mod). But that was a long time ago and only for Amazon cards.

Guaranteed trust buyer and scammer I'd say! Why else would be be so 'kind' only AFTER I said default trust?

Maybe because he doesn't care if he gets negative trust? And just wants to offer you an Amazon/Steam gift card because he is a kind person.

I'm thinking he is (or is a alt of) QuickSeller. I'm still figuring out the chicken & egg thing but more proof will follow. My current estimate is 85% of his giveaway receipients are accounts owned by QuickSeller.

Hello friends

I have done more investigating on this scammer and discovered nobody has verified the source of his gift cards (except once by a forum mod). But that was a long time ago and only for Amazon cards.

So I believe has been carded after that point. Who knows. Maybe he even reached ROI on his scam by now?

Need more evidence?

Well I sent him a PM and said that my alt was in default trust. Guess what? He asked me if I needed any Amazon or Steam.

Guaranteed trust buyer and scammer I'd say! Why else would be be so 'kind' only AFTER I said default trust?

But there is more to this story........

I'm thinking he is (or is a alt of) QuickSeller. I'm still figuring out the chicken & egg thing but more proof will follow. My current estimate is 85% of his giveaway receipients are accounts owned by QuickSeller.

This scam investigator is putting in overtime!!

Post Script: He just 'purchased' trust from SebastianJu. Check if yourself if you don't believe it.

Don't forgot that grue and ssateneth checked one of his accounts that he used to buy giftcards.

I just bought a $100 gift card from him. Obviously I was concerned about chargeback risk, but he offered to let me log into his gyft account and verify the gift cards myself. After checking out his account, I can safely say that all of his purchases on gyft were made using bitcoin (no chargeback risk!). His deals may sound insane, but he's legit.

edit:
grammar
So I heard there was some naysayers in this thread. One person even claimed that BPB paid for the gift cards with stolen credit cards.

I can say this is not the case.

BPB myself were talking and he proved that not only is he extra CrAzY, he is also legitimate. None of the GCs he's sold here (or elsewhere) for ridiculously low rates are paid though illegitimate means. They were all paid for with BTC. But how do I know this?

Well, we worked something out, and he shared with me his secrets. He is just genuinely a nice guy that likes to give away good deals to the community.

He gets his gift cards from gyft.com, which also accepts BTC as a form of payment. He allowed me to log into his account and personally verify every GC was paid for with BTC, which as we all know, is irreversible.

proof of previous GC cards being purchased with BTC: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/proof/proof1.jpg

But, hey, this might be some random person's login? Well, we worked out a CrAzY deal for myself. I managed to score a MASSIVE amazon gift card from him. He paid for it with BTC in his own login session on his PC, and allowed me to view the code myself (I forgot to make a screenshot of the screen that shows before it reveals the code, but oh well)

$1000 amazon card purchased: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/proof/proof2.jpg
Forgot to screengrab before I revealed the code, but here it is after I revealed it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/proof/proof5.jpg
BTC payment showing on blockchain: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/proof/proof3.jpg
He also paid me from the same address to confirm it was his: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/proof/proof4.jpg

I was able to add it to my amazon account without a hitch: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/proof/proof6.jpg
And use it towards the purchase of a shiny new computer CPU: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/proof/proof7.jpg
Order placed: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/proof/proof8.jpg

So he is simply an extra crazy, but charitable person. He has a number of BTCTalk forum +rep's and some +rep's on #bitcoin-otc (He was able to tell me in IRC PM what I PM'd him in the forum, linking the two account). For the foreseeable future, you can trust this guy to hold up his end.

But guys, PLEASE, remember to exercise caution with "too good to be true" deals. While BPB's case really is true, it's very atypical, and people should exercise caution and do their research before making a decision when trading on similar "too good to be true" deals.

EDIT: Also, he almost never asks upfront payments. If he does, you could refuse to do business with him if you don't trust it.

I prefer Zakir over Muhammed when mentioning me!
-snip-
1. He buys trust. Plain and simple. Giveaways involve NO trust. Nothing is at risk. This is a FACT: it cannot be argued. 'Trust buyers' are guaranteed scammers.

He does not ask users to leave trust feedback.

2. He won't use escrow.

Can you please show me some instances where he declined using escrow?

Want to know why? His gift cards are purchased with stolen credit cards. Escrow would expose his scam instantly. {...}

How can escrow identify his gift cards are purchased with stolen credit cards? Besides, most of the times, he sends first and hence, there is no need for escrow unless if he wants.

3. A detailed analysis of his giveaways shows a STRONG bias towards people in default trust. Newbies can't make you green, can they Bob?

Although I agree that he has traded many times with people in default trust, he has also gave a lot of gifts to other people.

4. Faking a mental illness to get sympathy.

How do you know?

5. ZERO participation in forum discussions. As with every scammer, they are here to con & not to chat.

You are wrong! There were (many) scammers who were active.

6. He's got you trained. He uses greed against you. So many people throw BTC at him to get that sweet deal! $20 gift cards today, $2000 gift cards tomorrow. And then he vanishes after hundreds of people buy their discounted $2000 card, and receive nothing!

He has donated money to charities and has also repaid a few loans. How can he profit anything from this? Undecided

-snip-
Can a single fact be argued? No. Where do we go from here? It's obvious, make him red trust. Then see what he does. He will leave forever with his tail between his legs because that's the scammer he is!

Fact? These are conspiracy theories or speculation.

Boycott his giveaways. Even free BTC. His coin is stolen, guaranteed. This is the next MASTER scammer in the making. I am warning you early so give me thanks.

How do you know they are stolen? Please don't tell me your sixth sense told you so.

Do you REALLY think he's doing this out of the goodness of his heart? Read on, friends.

Facts of this case
------------------

1. He buys trust. Plain and simple. Giveaways involve NO trust. Nothing is at risk. This is a FACT: it cannot be argued. 'Trust buyers' are guaranteed scammers.

2. He won't use escrow. Want to know why? His gift cards are purchased with stolen credit cards. Escrow would expose his scam instantly. Think about it, don't be a fool. Would any TRUSTED member here refuse escrow? Of COURSE not.

3. A detailed analysis of his giveaways shows a STRONG bias towards people in default trust. Newbies can't make you green, can they Bob?

4. Faking a mental illness to get sympathy.

5. ZERO participation in forum discussions. As with every scammer, they are here to con & not to chat.

1. When I was a member/full member(?), he gave me 0.25BTC, worth about more than $60. I certainly didn't know my trust would be worth that much. He never had asked any positive feedback from me either.
2. I have bought some of his gift cards and none of them has ever turned invalid or scam. I personally feel that it's fine to not use escrow when it is $2 and he have a proven good record. And what can he give out scam gift cards when he gives people when they donates to sean outpost? If they turn invalid, he would definitely get red trust.
3. Nope, normal full member has been able to claim those giveaways as well. Not only those from default trust.
4. Proof?
5. I don't see any problem in doing such thing. He doesn't contribute actively and it isn't much of a problem considering the amount of (sig) spammers.
6. I doubt anyone would be foolish enough to pay $20+ for a gift card if it is too good to be true. BiPolarBob has given I believe more than thousands of dollars in BTC. No reason for him to ruin the account.

No one has been arrested for getting those 'stolen' BTC. And what would he gain by giving out BTC to normal members.

As per quickerseller's evidence I think he would have to scam a lot for this long con to be worth it. I think suspicion on him is warranted but I'm not sure if he is going to scam now. If he did a massive giveaway I think a lot of people would be weary and not do it.

Even if a few people gave him negative his 'fans' would ignore it and send him money any way so I doubt it'd make a difference. Might stop some newbies sending to him though I suppose.

1. I don't think BPB actually asks for positive trust. He has given me gift cards a few times and never asked me for any kind of rating or a vouch.

Yes because you didn't leave him green trust the first time  Roll Eyes You seem easy to buy off.
I actually only gave him a positive rating the 1st time. However, I do think you do bring up a good point regarding the trust system. When two people trade with each other, there is generally exactly one person who is taking on risk to the trade, and the question is should a party give positive trust even if someone does not take any risk in a transaction? I tend to be pretty conservative when handing out positive trust, however some people argue that trades should be documented so it can be known that a trade occurred without incident.
2. I can think of a few people who won't accept escrow who are pretty well trusted, and I wouldn't consider them to be scammers. I don't think escrow really matters anyway because a) he asks for people to donate money to charity for payment for his gift cards, and b) gift cards purchased with stolen credit cards can take months to be discovered that they were purchased with a stolen credit card.

More proof he bought you off and blurred your reasoning. If he was using stolen CCs then it would be hard for him to show staff how everything is cash (btc?) paid for. Precisely why he refuses escrow.
When escrow is used, it is pretty rare that a term of the escrow agreement is that proof of payment via cash is used, especially when it comes to gift cards. Besides, I believe that he actually allowed grue access to his gyft account that showed many purchases of gift cards all with bitcoin. Also BPB has been largely inactive for ~6 months (up until recently), and if he was using stolen gift cards in the past, then people would have started to complain by now. I also fail to see how you conclude that I am being paid off.
3. People on default trust tend to be more active in market place sections and they tend to not be shill accounts. To see why people might not want to give things away to people not on default trust see this thread, you will see that some people tend to claim giveaways multiple times via shill accounts, and that is simply not possible with default trust accounts because there are so fewer of them.
So if I did giveaways only to people who could make my trust green, you wouldn't think any thing of it?
That is not what he does. You are twisting my words.
6. He usually gives pretty steep discounts, and I would somewhat doubt that he would be able to sell so many gift cards at that discount in order to make up for all the money he has given away. Also as mentioned above he usually asks that people donate to charity in exchange for his gift cards.

Just building up more good feelings. It will help with the big scam to come!
Well lets run the numbers and see if him scamming by selling $2,000 gift cards for $200 (90% off, which is generally a smaller discount then what he typically gives).

In this thread, he advertised that he was giving away $5 worth of bitcoin to the first 100 posters (I did not count the number of people who posted, but I would assume it would be 100). He spent at least $500 on this giveaway.

In this thread, he gave away at least 34 gift cards worth $20 each, he spent at least  $680 on this giveaway.

In this thread, he gave away a single $25 gift card.

In this post, he gave away 1BTC to Dabs feed the children program, the value of the BTC at the time was ~$350.

In this thread, it he was giving away .02 to everyone that posted, and I counted 132 people that posted, based on the BTC value at the time, he spent at least $950 on this giveaway.

In this thread, he was giving away $10 starbucks gift cards, and I counted 16 people that posted prior to him announcing that he was sold out. He spent at least $160 in this giveaway.

In this thread, he gave away .02 to members+ that posted their BTC address, I counted 72 people who are members or greater as of now. Based on the price of BTC at the time, he spent at least $550 on this giveaway.

In this thread, he was giving away .02 to everyone that posted their BTC address, I counted 62 people that posted. Based on the price of BTC at the time, he spent at least $475 on this giveaway.

In this thread, he gave away a single $100 amazon gift card to someone.

In this thread, Blazedout419 gave away a ASUS mobo + Core i7 + Corsair RAM + Zalman CPU cooler that he was asking $200 for on behalf of BPB, I would assume that blazedout received payment for this. BPB also gave away 9 $20 amazon gift cards in this thread. He gave away a total of $380 in this giveaway.

In this thread, he gave away 14 $50 amazon gift cards. He gave away at least $700 in this giveaway.

In this thread, he gave away (by my count), 74 $20 steam gift cards. He gave away at least $1,480 in this giveaway.

I decided to stop tallying up the amounts he gave away after going back 7 pages of his post history. By my calculations, he has given away at least $6,350 worth of bitcoin and gift cards, and this does not count gift cards given away this year and only goes back 7 pages in his posting history. This means that he would need to sell at least 32 $2,000 gift cards for 200 each and take payment to an address that he controls (something he does not usually do). You also need to take into consideration that a good number of the people that claim his giveaways would probably not be buying a bunch of $2,000 gift cards.

One downside to BPB giving away so much money is that shortly after he left, I did notice that a lot of money launderers started showing up trying to sell StarBucks gift cards that were obviously originally purchased with stolen credit cards. I don't think that BPB is behind these accounts though as I don't think the amount of gift cards they have sold would come close to the amount of money that BPB has given away (although I may be wrong).

My impression of BPB is that he is a really nice guy. He told me that he has done this kind of thing on various other forums. As I mentioned previously, you need to exercise caution when trading with anyone, however my thought process would be that if I were to donate a small amount of money to a charity in exchange for one of BPB's giveaways, then the worse case scenario is that I have given away a little bit of money to a charity and received nothing (of financial value) in return, and I don't think that would be all that bad.

I have spoken with Bob probably more than anyone else here (via IRC), and would be amazed if he ever scammed. Bob is eccentric and very privacy orientated, but not a scammer. I know some people are thinking that he is setting up the long con, but when has he ever asked for any large amounts? The reason he trades with higher up members is all the abuse in his giveaways - multiple newbie accounts owned by same people claiming stuff. I think we are lucky to have Bob around among all the scammers and shit posters here.

**Disclaimer - I am not saying send first to Bob or anyone - always use your head when trading**

Big surprise! He befriended someone with massive green trust!  Roll Eyes

I love how all of you are proving my point.

Oh yes. That matter of proof. Here is where Bob himself admits to setting up a long con:

Conspiracy theorist much?

Pretty sure an admin or mod looked into the gift card buys and they mostly come from gyft. It's all legitimate. And he has never asked for trust to be left.

Bring solid proof about things like this before going on a witch hunt.

Let me guess. He gave something to you?

I was part of the discount gift cards months ago. No chargebacks and he never asked for anything in return.
