Well.. There is a valid reason behind prevalence of mixed culture in America.. And this is because America is populated by people from different countries and continents..
And on the other hand, it is native Indians who make up the population of India.. so the culture they follow is common..

US culture is often described as a melting pot of cultures!

I don't understand the point in comparing two cultures, when they are diagonally opposite. Do you have any proof for the claims that the Americans are not family oriented? If Indians are so much family oriented, then why so many rapes are happening in India?
Move in US and you will have your proof.Modern American culture is horible. Not family-oriented at all.Rapes happens all over the world, not only in India. If you compare America with many of the Asian cultures, where you have extended families consisting of children, parents, grandparents, and even aunts and uncles all living under the same roof helping each other with child-raising, finances, and other aid. In these cultures, the family unit is considered the foundation of society itself, and Asian cultures (Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Thai, etc.) largely base their practices on the Confucian principle of filial piety. Most American families expect children to leave home when they turn 18, pay back money owing to parents, and lead independent lives. In contrast, in Asian families, there is not the same urgency to "kick kids out of the house" when they reach adulthood---on the contrary, many are expected to remain with the parents to take care of them as they grow old, even after they marry and have kids of their own.

If we talk about the culture, no two cultures are same. The Indian culture is unique and has its own values, but America culture is not unique, its mixture of different culture. This is one of the major cultural difference that Indians are very much family oriented, and the Americans are individual oriented.

Hahaha.  Perhaps you should study the history of cultural influences in India.  It's very diverse.

Also you might want to visit some different American cultures to see exactly how much "family values" they contain.  I recommend you start with TexMex culture in San Antonio, Texas, then examine Lutheran culture in Minnesota.
