Do you really believe what you are writing? I've read articles in the Russian press, criticising the government to a degree that would not have managed to slip through the censorship in the West.

This is the sort of thing you'd expect to read in a fictional book such as 1984 but America has really become a real life police state,
The govt spies on it's people, strips away the constitution, up arms their police to deal with rebellions, shoots their own citizens...

Exactly, and that is the reason i want to keep away from them as much as possible. Maybe most of the people will still say "long live the king" but sorry i'm rather here in much worse economy than in that gov where i can't even fart without them knowing.

To add to that, many times when you see CNN and their ilk report news from Russia, if you look closely, you'll notice that they reference RIA Novosti, Interfax or ITAR-TASS, while often altering the angle of the news item ever so slightly to match the corporate guidelines.

Your source that is in russian only says that he was captured, but does not mention Snowden once in the article/release.

Reference to Snowden came from the father of the arrested man. It was his personal assumption, if you cared to actually read the articles.

I'd urge the US to be careful with this since identity theft is the easiest crime to frame someone with. What may look like a criminal could be a victim of identity theft themselves, but a far deeper reaching form of identity theft.

Cyber crime framing is a tactic used by hackers to lead law enforcement to a innocent person in order to cover their tracks.

It is interesting if this is true, its about time something is done to acquire that little piece of trash Snowden. I doubt the exchange is even needed to apprehend him, but a prisoner exchange makes saving face easier when you can swap criminals. So then when Russian PO's pick him, they won't be nice about it and tool up Snowden pretty good before shipping him to the USA for his trial, so the little bastard can rot in prison forever, with other traitors like Tranny Manning...
