It's a funny thing with cars. I've been fishing for a ford focus in the EU last year and found that the US versions are much better and more comfortable. 90% of EU cars were manuals with 90-125 hp, while 90% of models from the us were automatics with 150-200 hp. So I'm not that sure if Americans really want EU cars so much. When they are feeling like driving something with a good gas mileage they choose a honda, a toyota, or a hyundai.

I'm from the UK and I agree with this completely. Leaving the EU is a phenomenal act of hubris. There are plenty of people in the UK who are a century out of date, and think we still rule the world. They don't see that the UK alone has zero negotiating power against big economies, such as the US or indeed (once we leave) the EU.

The USA banking system will suck value from wherever it can get it. And whoever was smart enough to figure out a Ponzi scheme like the USA banking system was pretty shrewd. It sucks in money from around the world by essentially forcing world players into the Ponzi... by war or by trickery.

When the semblance of finding new peoples or new corporations to get into the Ponzi is finally seen through by everyone, the Ponzi will collapse. But until then, it has made the bankers (and those who follow them - Americans) into the rulers of the world.

The EU is only a bigger satellite of the American banking Ponzi. America donates money around the world. They make wars around the world. It is all done to maintain the money Ponzi behind the scenes.

I think people sometimes forget that you can't just ignore the US and move on, large amounts of companies in the EU rely on the US as their consumer market -- as we have a good deal of disposable income in the US (or at least, income that we spend on stuff even if we can't afford it)

I'm going to assume that Trump's rhetoric comes from the fact that there must be EU tariffs on American cars while American tariffs on EU cars are probably lower. That's the reason Trump is going after this, and if this is the case I think most should support him. If we want free trade, we must ensure that it is also fair trade.
