I've began using it as an easier way to transact online.  Compared to eBay/paypal fees, the escrow fees on here are much easier to stomach.

Plus, I feel like I am "voting with my dollars" each time I transact and large corporations like paypal/credit card companies DONT get a cut, rather miners and individual escrow agents on here do.

I'm heading to Copenhagen this weekend. Flight paid with bitcoins, hotel paid with bitcoins.

I saw on coinmap that there are several places where I will be able to use bitcoins including a Bitcoin ATM where I can get some local currency.

That's great that you can pay your holiday with Bitcoins. A few years ago we could only dream about that. In those days you was happy when you could buy a pizza with bitcoins.  Cool

Good for him but I doubt that are so many ways to earn bitcoin in those amounts to do such big expenses. I don't know any business which produce or pay in bitcoin (except the owners of mining pools). So can he share some of their resources with us? Only for curiosity and if secret no name. Only the type of activity.

Don't you know that Elwar converts his entire paycheck into bitcoins through Bitpay? It is a well known fact on this forum.

Indeed, everyone knows that.
Just the other day he posted a thread [1] on how to use your Bitcoins to purchase items/services from hundreds of places.

Interesting that only 2.5% use Bitcoins for dark web shopping. I thought that this would be higher.

Maybe people aren't being completely honest, or maybe dark web shoppers don't frequently visit BCT.

Spreading it all around on shitty altcoins, where I lose more than I gain.

Gambling on rigged sites and losing it all there.

Oh god I've lost control over my life  Shocked

I use BTC for a little savings, to buy online and for gambling.

I haven't use it for the dark markets. I even don't know how to get there.

The only secure thing I would do with my bitcoins is to leave those in my wallet without touching for the days to come. Maybe if i find some site (but sure site) which act with bitcoin I will use those there with the hope to have more. Sure site mean long life online, good and communicative ceo and owners, communication with them personally to know well with which i have to do, reasonable activity etc.

at the moment i use bitcoin on gambling because of it's anonymity , but in the future i'd like to use it shopping online Smiley

I don't belive it offers sufficient anonymity.

I use it for saving/investment. I try not to spend any, but it burst a hole in my pocket.

I use Bitcoins for donations, micropayments and for online shopping (digital goods).
Beside of dark web shopping, some criminals also use bitcoin for ransom like virus makers and ATM hackers. Bad side of bitcoin makes me sad. In other side, we can use bitcoin for donations like you Cheesy
