Now the bank investment return is around 12% yearly now. $100000 is not a small money, since I don't have the use of it and can not stop my expenses at the time, I will rather invest in the bank expecially during this dip that is market condition. 12% of the savings is a huge amount. I worked for the savings so even though I invest in bank that shouldn't be a problem because my interest is guaranteed and I will be using it to cover up for expenses or increasing my investment. I think buying bitcoin or any other altcoin is not a good idea.

Depositing all your money in the bank is really a waste when you leave your money sleep, and do nothing else, it's like the mindset of an older adult with no will to move forward. Maybe the current interest rates of banks are higher than in previous years, but you forgot to take into account the inflation that we are experiencing, most items increase 20-30%, while the profit you get is only 12%. You may find that your money is not increasing but is losing over time, and if inflation does not stop, your money in the bank will soon go to zero.

Now you have $100,000 in your account, pure savings, and you don't need this amount of money to cover your daily expenses. Obviously it's good/free money to use at will. Let's say if you deposit the money into a bank and the annual interst rate is 3%, you will get a steady interest income year by year. If you use this money to buy Bitcoin, let's say the BTC drops to $17,000, you'll buy less than 6 Bitcoins. In the long run, what would you do with this money ? And why ?
The annual interest in banks are too low, it's like you're letting your money sleep without gaining anything. Well, it's good to have savings but that's huge to just entrust to bank, they're the only one benefiting to your money by giving loans to their borrowers. Anyway, if i'm in such situation having $100k savings, I will invest the money in Bitcoin and gold and leave 10% in bank for emergency. Investing is always the wise decision but remember to only invest in things you have knowledge with and you're aware of the function.

I will do both with the money I have 50;50 ,
there is a reason that made me do this, because as we know if we invest in bitcoin it is very volatile, even though the profits you can get can multiply in a matter of months or even weeks if it's a lucky one, but I think more about the risk of loss if bitcoin always declines not profits in the near future because we know investing in bitcoin is not for the short term if you want to get maximum profits like 2021 yesterday
and if I deposit my money I can make withdrawals when I need money quickly because the funds I save are safe in the same amount when I deposit them

Life is always unpredictable, sometimes the wheel of life spins so that we have to always be vigilant, don't be too easy to waste money or put money on things that are not productive, when there is a lot of money most people will act extravagantly like buying vehicles, apartments and so on, when it's hard then if you are going to sell these assets it will be difficult and the value will drop significantly.
And sometimes the thoughts you put out here are also less logical and tend to have very short meanings. People who, when they have money to buy vehicles, houses, apartments and others, are very wise people because they have had a hard time making money, which they then try to enjoy by buying important things that they need or don't have.

For example in private vehicles and private apartments. Those are two common examples that are always very close to human life as well as to all people. Private vehicles are needed when someone wants to travel to work or to a vacation spot, while a house or apartment is needed for a place to live in this world so that comfort in life will continue to exist.

Well, if someone is able to find money to buy vehicles and apartments, how can he not find money to eat everyday or for his daily living expenses?
This is an important thing for you to actually digest so that your own thoughts will also be opened more broadly.

"Well, if someone is able to find money to buy vehicles and apartments, how can he not find money to eat everyday or for his daily living expenses?" Well, I know a lot of people, at least people from middle class, that they drive BMWs, Mercedes but can not even afford to fill up the gas tank. I am not kidding. In my country, too many people can easily get loans from banks and they assume they are successful businessmen but only know how to  buy fancy cars and apartments. They truly can not find money to eat everyday or for his daily living expenses. Credit cards are the only means to "keep" them alive and God knows when they are going to commit a suicide. Last month in the city I am living, a midde-aged man robbed a bank for he was so broke and couldn't pay the loans. Police surrounded the bank and the negotiation was not fruitful. Finally this man was shot dead on secene by the sniper. You think this is only a piece of news happening in small odds ? Robbery maybe, but men like him are everywhere.

Banks do not give interest in this day instead they collect different charges or levies from banking customers to reduce there money in the bank.
This is not true, although we do not like banks, we do not need to speak badly of them, depositing money in banks is still profitable, but the interest is very low, and insignificant.

So if someone has$100, 000, I advise the person to use it to buy BTC even if BTC is as low as 10$ and let the person keep it there for long team investment. And when bitcoin price soar hebor she can sell it and take his money back but if you deposit that money in the bank within 3 years, it will de-appreciate. Instead of getting interest, you have lost.
If bitcoin drops to 10$, I will be skeptical and not invest more there, there is no guarantee that it will rise again. You should know that each bitcoin is worth $17k, and if it drops to $10, it will be a shock and possibly the end of the market, let alone more investment. I don't believe anyone dares to invest more when bitcoin drops to 10 USD, if there is, only buy a few hundred dollars in the hope of winning the lottery.

Diversify your money and don't put it all into the bank or in bitcoin to be safe. But if you already have this money, I think you'll be thinking of the high-risk one, which is bitcoin, because you need the money for investment as you are already settled. This is where you can see if you can handle well your money in investments. It is also best to deposit it in the bank since I am sure you'll need it in the future, and the other money is to buy it a bitcoin, then hold it for a few years, or check the price weekly to see how the price is going.

Don't put all your money in one area, spread your assets, bank your savings and diversify your investments. It is wise to invest to find ones with higher returns. Investing in cryptocurrencies is risky, and although Bitcoin can be more profitable, it requires long-term holding to obtain high profits. When Bitcoin falls, profit from the bank's fixed interest rate, and when the price of Bitcoin rises, you can see a higher return on investment.

At this time we may still be productive with a large income, but we must remember that in life many unexpected things such as sick, accidents, or companies stop because of many reasons, when we have no income then we will be difficult and from now there are many The thing we have to improve is by investing, investing even with a small value for example 10% of our monthly salary.

I would invest if I were to be asked. Better to let it sit in someone (trusted) else's hands and multiply it rather than deposit it somewhere and let it idle for nothing, collecting no interest whatsoever. Or if I were to use it, perhaps I'll use it to start another business and do everything to let it grow. Money sitting idly on bank accounts are of no use to their owners, but to the banks they are of great help.

You say you don't put it all in crypto and then you buy most of the bitcoin and leave 20% to buy altcoins. Where are they different? Putting your entire fortune in crypto is much riskier than depositing your money in a bank. If it were me, I would put 50% in crypto and 50% in the bank in case my investment is lost or disappeared.
Determining high investment is not recommended but 30% of owned fund may be better for crypto investment for long term, but I suggest to avoid investing in altcoins due to high risk even though it is top altcoin, so focus to invest in crypto for BTC and set analysis you to buy BTC at the lowest price in the bearish phase. So the remaining 70% allocation must be allocated for basic needs and 20% for emergency fund savings because we have to have future health insurance from our own funds or for other unexpected needs.

A bank deposit is not the best idea, the interest that you can receive on a bank deposit will be lower than the current inflation, which means that your money will only lose value, and do not forget when you give your money to a bank, you trust your money to a third party , which is also not the best option in terms of security. An investment in bitcoin is an investment with a perspective, a bear market cannot last forever, I think that in the near future everything will change for the better and the investment will bring profit.

Not everybody can control themselves if they have up to 100,000$, the mind will easily forget about investing and they will start thinking about vacations and buying cars..

If I somehow made that much money I won't invest all on crypto, I will order for a hardware wallet and I will make sure that most part goes to bitcoin and use 20,000$ to gamble on top altcoins like Matic, Ethereum and few others.

As for banks there is no point keeping money there, I will keep some for survival and needs but there is no way to make money keeping money in a bank. How about buying 32 pieces of Ethereum and stake?

You say you don't put it all in crypto and then you buy most of the bitcoin and leave 20% to buy altcoins. Where are they different? We should be able to use the money we have earned for good things, we keep it on deposit or use it for investment so that when we are not working we still have money saved so we don't owe or sell assets. And don't be tempted by offers to buy things we don't need such as gadgets, electronics, cars and so on.
I think almost everyone is thinking about that now, but on the other hand there are still many people out there who are still confused about what investment to make because it is our dream, of course, to still dwell on the pleasures of old age by harvesting what we are currently planting.
On the other hand, it's actually not too wrong to use money to buy some necessities, such as electronics or gadgets. We are now required to keep up with the times where it is increasingly leading to technology that is indeed very up-to-date so indeed when we see it we also have to be open and not close ourselves to things like this, especially now that smartphones and other electronic devices are sometimes very useful for support the necessities of life.

We should be able to use the money we have earned for good things, we keep it on deposit or use it for investment so that when we are not working we still have money saved so we don't owe or sell assets.
We ourselves decide which method to use, the OP gave us two choices to use the money we have, but do we need to choose Investment or Deposito?

1. Investment
Often we listen to advice regarding the use of finance, in this case many people offer solutions for investing. Then the question is whether the investment can be profitable?
There are several investment methods that we can use in Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin or Altcoin, as far as I know Bitcoin can maintain value, so that the use of money is much more targeted, although we cannot ignore the fluctuations and risks that will arise, Bitcoin has given a lot of evidence to choose from, so there is no comparison with altcoins.

2. Deposits
Deposits are more likely to be interpreted as saving money in a bank, deposits generally have a period of time for the owner to be able to withdraw the money, because they are vulnerable to maturity given by the Bank, more simply deposits are products issued by banks, so there are many restrictions that must be met.

In a more general elaboration, deposits can actually shorten the use of the money we have, so that the achievement of profit targets is not comparable to investing in bitcoin, because the profits provided are not large, even though deposits are also investment instruments offered by the Bank.

Quote
And don't be tempted by offers to buy things we don't need such as gadgets, electronics, cars and so on.
Humans live full of prestige, so chasing something that is not needed, this way of life is not a good behavior, because it will make people buy things not because they are needed.

The three things you mentioned are other instruments and have different meanings. Sometimes people see these three things as something that is needed, but some others see it as a way of life. The class and degree of a person's life must be different, as well as the needs that must be met, but if life is brought to a simple nature, then the needs will definitely be adjusted and place something wiser.

Deposit is also kind of investment hence now you need to think about how much risk you are afford to do. If I were you, definitely I will choose bitcoin for all my money (by ignoring the diversification principle of investments). I may sound like over confident about bitcoin but for someone who is into this crypto space for more than a decade and able to predict the market direction within the cycles of bitcoin market, I guess there would be no other option might seem attractive.

Bitcoin can be your deposit and it would definitely will yield good returns. You may divide your into 5 parts and may consider five different investment opportunities including bank deposits and bitcoins.

I will do the same thing if I'll have such an amount of money. Depositing your funds in a bank is never a wrong decision but investing it in Bitcoin for me is also a better idea. Since I've known Bitcoin for a long time, I know how it could strike high so through long-term investment you could have a high profit and you can maximize your gains easily. It will take time but it's all worth it unlike in banks where you could only get a small percentage of profit after the long wait. But it all depends on your target profit. If you want assurance with lower risk and not aiming for huge profit, you can deposit at least half of your funds in your trusted bank.

Everything is risky, and there are no absolute guarantees, if you don't trust the bank, it is not safe to keep cash or convert it all to bitcoin. If you keep too much cash in your home, your property is easy to be taken by thieves or you hold it in bitcoin, and there is no guarantee that incidents like a house fire, natural disaster, or you lose your private key...all of these things are likely to happen. The best solution is to divide them into different parts, don't put all your eggs in one basket.
You are right everyone has risks, depositing money in the bank then a recession that unnoticed forced the banks to close their withdrawal services and wow everyone became poor together because the banks stopped withdrawing all types of money. But somehow I tend not to trust banks except my wife.

You are absolutely correct, there is no such thing as a waste of money when it comes to the purchase of a car or an apartment, both of which are necessities necessary for us to live. I believe that we all strive every day, work more, invest more, and the ultimate goal is mainly to buy a house to live in as well as to have transportation to serve work. You can't work hard all your life and just stay in a rented house, and walk to work but your money is kept in a passbook, that's not life. Use money for the right purpose, don't be too wasteful and don't be too thrifty.
However, human nature is always wanting to get social status in the eyes of society. Buying cars, and luxury home appliances and perhaps showing assets owned to be a disease that invites people to feel like they want to be praised. You really use the money you have for the right purposes, but being thrifty shows how difficult it is to make money in the midst of other people who work only to survive one day.
