New scam and plagiarism accusations there :

So, my other thread was moved to investigations due to a couple of pictures I posted: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/--5175731

Let's stick to pure reputation here then. This foul-smelling, nasty looking, satoshi munching pacman (Legendster) has been around this forum for long enough and seems to be constantly getting embroiled in scammy shit, following which he writes pages of dribble to defend himself when caught, and finally has to resort to large fonts and bold letters to try and have the last word on any topic.

Well, it all ends here.

Please stay away from this character LEGENDSTER and any projects he promotes. Most are fraudulent.

I give you a chronological history of India's biggest oldest bitcointalk shitposter / carpet muncher:

2013: Car Sales Scam: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/user-legendster-scammer-202979
In 2013, Legendster claimed to be selling exotic cars from Porsches to Ferraris on the other side of the planet. Our delusional cryptocunt lives in a smelly part of India, yet was advertising cars for sale in America. As expected, he wasn't able to sell a windshield wiper, let alone a car, yet the forum had to suffer many many pages of nonsense in this regard.

User legendster claims to be an exotic car broker representing an unnamed friend in the USA.

1. legendster makes a claim of having recently sold a car for $36,000 in an "offline sale" (the car is a 911 Porsche turbo with California (US) plates -- user lives in India).
2. legendster offers us a series of photos of exotic cars he is currently offering in this post: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2107280
3. legendster posted a photo of an Aston Martin with visible licence plate here:https://fbcdn-sphotos-f-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-prn1/560832_523780937656648_1588410876_n.jpg, making the match to images here: http://teamspeed.com/forums/automobiles/70436-2006-aston-martin-db9-volante-black-black-scottsdale-az.html irrefutable. The match proves photos presented by legendster are harvested from the web, having no other connection to legendster.

While the scam is absurdly juvenile and obvious on its face, and the odds of legendster successfully scamming anyone are laughable, mere presence of such low-grade cons on the Marketing/goods forum casts a shadow on the legitamacy of Bitcointalk.org as a reasonable place to conduct commerce.  User legendster has been accused of scamming by several users within just the thread i've linked to above.  User legendster is a Hero Member.  Though "Hero Member" does not actually denote trustworthiness,  the wording unquestionably implies it to new users. It's time to give legendster  a scammer tag.

MODS:  Even if you think it's a 13yr-old boy, and i'd say that's more likely than not, don't let these forums become a known hangout where 13yr-old boys can hone their scamming skilz.  Without fearing anything, not even a scammer tag, when they're caught.

5. I am NOT the BROKER OR the SELLER, I am merely a contact collector, I planned to connect "BITCOIN OWNERS" with an exotic car dealer and CHARGE COMMISSION FROM THE BROKER - VERCETTI, you can call me an AGENT to a BROKER.
I'll just call you a scammer or an idiot -- you pick.  Agent to a broker? Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  A broker to a broker?  Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Until my bodyguard hires himself a bodyguard, i'll just laugh at you.  Like this: Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

2015: BTC Loan Scam: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/quickseller-vs-legendster-954169
Legendster decides he can get rich quick by owning a Bitcoin faucet. But his broke ass can't buy it outright so he comes up with a good scam to fund his purchase:

^ This dude is stupid. But he is consistently stupid. And I respect that. I wish he was consistently trying to better himself though.

2019: Promoting fraudulent projects
Justifying promoting fraudulent projects and taking no responsibility for the same.

Advertising a business on your advertisement space does not imply that the owner of the advertisement space is in any way liable or condoning any shady shit the advertiser is engaging in.

Getting off topic here, but when you accept money in exchange for advertising for a business, you absolutely do bear some of the responsibility if that business is a scam.  You're helping them scam people.  Very basic logic here.

I wouldnt have come in and commented if the issue wasnt already being raised here.

And yes, I partly agree with you, which is why I think it is completely fine for Fortunejack sig campaign participants to show eagerness in busting or proving any scam accusations that is being made against the very entity that they have rented their signature spaces to.

I don't see the problem here.

Guys please ignore this imbecile Legendster, he obviously bears absolutely no responsibility for any project he promotes. Pls have a looksie here:

EXHIBIT A: Bragging about misleading investors to the tune of $575m in an exit scam project, and feeling tickled by getting "a good feeling to be mentioned" in an article where the headline states A Wannabe Netflix Raised $575 million On Ethereum Then Ditched Crypto. Talk about a sane and grounded individual!  Grin

I was recently interviewed and mentioned in an article on Coindesk by Leigh Cuen about my involvement with TaTaTu.

https://www.coindesk.com/a-wannabe-netflix-raised-575-million-on-ethereum-then-ditched-crypto
https://i.imgur.com/mpPCGU8.png

Sad that TaTaTu isn't focusing on being everything that they were supposed to be. Still, it's a good feeling to be mentioned there.
Yes, he feels good to be mentioned there since it's a prominent publication.  He fails to see the context in which it was mentioned, hell, he probably failed to see the title of the article.  When you offer a few sats to this greedy toad, all morals and ethics dissappear right quick!

That's fucked up.

The short summary:
Quote from: johnniewalker
https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.2082258
I'm not going to lie, fucking with you is a lot of fun. But thats not the [main] reason I do it, and I can vouch for everybody else you mentioned and say their case is probably the same. You say one thing, you contradict it with another. You have sketchy written ALL over you. You have scam on you almost as much. Its people like you who give bitcoins and bitcoiners a bad name.

Please beware of any projects being promoted by Legendster as many turn out to be frauds or exit-scams.

Since we agree that he may not be a scammer, you may want to consider adding a disclaimer on the thread title as well.

Cheers!

+1

This guy is the same as you.
He does not know me, he has never met me, but he has chosen to be a little bit more compassionate, a little bit more polite & open minded. Thats what sets him apart, thats why he's in a different league than the likes of "crumbling cake dicks" and "Tom the cage cat" he is here to BRING btc to his country and NOT try & be the Troll King. (that reminds me I have to play Dota2 Grin )

He has seen facts and has not accused me pointlessly, he has criticized me, but look at the way he handed it out,
Learn from him.

1. I did not have any connection with Le Cruze Exotics prior to a contact in common between him and me - who bought a car from him.

2. Le Cruze exotics is a company owned by my "Californian Friend Vercetti"
First Name, Last Name, email address, or it didn't happen.

You wasted 15 secs photoshopping, waste another 15 sec doing a little thing called 'Investigating'. You are too broke to even buy yourself a towel why would I wasted my time sharing information with a PRICK who destroyed my business idea.

But in all fairness, If ANY legitimate buyer wants to investigate they are welcome to, all they need to do is ask & express their genuine interest of a transaction. I'll happily provide all the information.

If your little brain didnt process it already I am OFFERING to CONNECT contacts & hoping to get paid for that.

Your "Vercetti' is no better than your "American friend."  See (1).

Vercetti = American/Californian Friend. I will not send YOU any more proof of who is what, unless wanted by a serious buyer/seller or a moderator to prove I'm legit.
This is not because I m hiding anything, its because I find you to be just a troll wasting your & my time.

Research?   Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Tweaking the levels in a pic you posted took ~15 secs, that includes the time waiting for photoshop to load.  Another few secs typing in "le cruz facebook user" in Google & clicking on the link (i type slow & don't have a facebook account).  Trust me, i'm no interwebz detective.

You are an opportunist, Yes I complimented you. Who knows maybe you are a SCAMMER in the making, all I know is that i wont forget this and the lesson I learned about not hurrying into things.

Wrong.  You have successfully disclosed the name of a facebook account which belongs to you or a scammer just like you.  See my reply in your car dealin' thread.

Whatever you say holds no ground as you have NO PROOF against me, or about this being fake.

If you have read (if you can read) closely, I started that thread as a discussion thread asking for suggestions, tips and inputs, from community members to provide, for the things required to make this as legitimate as possible.

Lets call my Car broking friend Mr.B the person that I know in person & who introduced me to him Mr.R.

So Mr.R is my real life friend, lets say more of a professional acquaintance.
Mr.R posts this picture of a very beautiful and expensive car on his fb cover shot with him in it.
I ask him is it yours where did you get it ?
He said he bought it with his own money that he earned.
I didnt believe I asked for proof, he introduced my to Mr.B by tagging him & Mr.B said yes he is an international car broker and he got him that car in finance.
Time went by i found Mr.B has a number of 'rich' people and agents/owners of various showrooms on his friends list who interact with him almost on weekly basis.
I eventually came to believe that this guy Mr.B is legit and after I saw another picture of Mr.R with his family in that car he bought.

Get the difference ?

No, you'll have to try again Cheesy  This "Mr. R," who becomes "Mr. B" lower in your quote, is actually "Mr. Vercetti" Huh Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy  Fail!

Exposing an identity when requested not to, is a bad business practice, not a scam.

I do not think that anyone who has the BTC to buy a car will not indulge in due diligence before they trade with legendster.

As per the post on How to spot a scammer (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/edu-how-to-spot-a-scammer-read-this-before-doing-any-transactions-137288), he seems to fit just 1 criterion. The second criteria mentioned below is just for lulz.

Quote
1. New account (usually created within the last 3 months, plus or minus)
8. Any user blatantly claiming to be female

I am sure that this will be investigated further and will decide an outcome, but I do not think it will be a scammer tag. Let us also not forget that he has not scammed anyone yet.

Am not taking sides, but I see a lot of this discussion coming about due to a non alignment of people rather than an actual problem.

Thank you for taking the time to answer.
I cannot defend him as it is obvious that even I am not 100% sure of his RL identity. But that is the beauty of Bitcoin, no one cares about RL identities, but they do worry about risks.
What happens if you try to buy a car from him and it turns out that he does have a connection with the chappy selling those cars?
This does not look like a scam, it is a badly advertised and ill connected business that has been defended very badly by legendster.
I agree 100% with shibaji on legendsters behavior. I do not agree with the race card being played here. It had nothing to do with the fact that he is Indian. It started only because of a demanding tone for a loan which obviously was rejected. And he has been blaming it on stereotype statements about India.
Legendster may not be a scammer, but is definitely good at digging his own grave Smiley. I cannot see how he can penetrate the community post this without laying down heavy collateral or agreeing to high interest rates.

I don't believe that he is a scammer.

He has crude methods and is a bit aggressive, and may need to tone it down a notch.

I saw those posts when he had made them and it seemed like his intention was to act as a middleman for someone in Cali who has a dealership.

That is my opinion on this.

I do not think legendster is a scammer or trying to scam (this is my understanding based on limited knowledge, please take with a grain of salt), but is certainly very misguided, and needs a reality check for his behavior if he wants to get any footing on any kind of business.

Hello.
If you have a few minutes to spare, the thread in question (https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/buyingselling-exotic-cars-through-broker-195234) is worth reading, though i should warn you:  It reads like a lampoon of public perception of Bitcoin economy.
If i'm to give legendster (facebook:  Legend King) the benefit of doubt, this sums up his business plan:

  • "Like" an "exotic cars broker" (in other words, another user like himself) on Facebook
  • Broker the cars brokered by that user by pasting large images in trading/goods forum
  • ? ? ?
  • PROFIT!

While trying to disprove my claim that his business model was based on harvesting random car images from the web, legendster posted a screen capture.  This screen capture included a date, 2011.  It also included a blurred-out Facebook account name & did not include a link to the original image.  It did include an area of the screen which *did* contain user names: Both legendster's (facebook:  Legend King) and Facebook: Le Cruze, linking to L.C. -- both pages created by either young auto exotica fanciers, or ... ?

None of this is proof positive of legendster's scamming.  I think you'll agree that a scammer has to be exceptionally daft as the mods get exceptionally lucky for such proof to exist.
That's the very reason legendster attracted my attention:  he epitomises the worst of public misconceptions of Bitcoin trading:  Vacuous, smoke-and-mirrors fronts, backed by shifty "used car salesmen" who lay quasi-legal internet traps for unsuspecting marks.

What's worse, existence of such amateurish scams on these boards highlights just how low the bar is set for budding Bitcoin scammers.

Thank you for answering.

1. AGENT for a broker in California, I collect contacts & forward it to him, so if I disclose the name the would be 'contacts' would directly contact him instead of me Smiley

Please don't pretend to be an idiot or take me for one.
Definition of Broker, from M.W. online dictionary:

1 : one who acts as an intermediary: as
a : an agent who arranges marriages
b : an agent who negotiates contracts of purchase and sale (as of real estate, commodities, or securities)

The title of your thread is "Buying/Selling Exotic Cars (Through Broker)"  But you're not the seller.  Or the broker.  You're a ... broker for a broker?  Seems borked to me.

EDIT:  English is not my native language either -- don't bother with the race card.

4. There should probably be a "Troll Accusation Board" so I can post your and some other member's names there.

Perhaps.  'Til that happy time, let's stick to the topic at hand.

I'd do it. I'd remove this sig. I have two of the most reputed Indians Indians who have (sort of) vouched for me NOT being a scammer.

Henchman has served his purpose. He has been humiliated. I am now not a scammer Smiley

But changing my sig wont change me, I might find some new prick picking on me to be annoying enough so I'd put his name down there.

But for now yes I'd change the sig Smiley

I don't believe that he is a scammer.

He has crude methods and is a bit aggressive, and may need to tone it down a notch.

I saw those posts when he had made them and it seemed like his intention was to act as a middleman for someone in Cali who has a dealership.

That is my opinion on this.

Thank You both.
