Been to Thailand and was amazed how some of the businesses adopted to crypto by accepting bitcoin payments. The very first thing that I look for are those places that accepts bitcoin payments. What I did is visit some good spots and was so excited to experience the fun and the idea of using bitcoin as payments in exchange for certain services or goods.

I can't forget the experience I had with The Pink Panther in Bangkok and was really amazed that I was able to pay all the bills with my bitcoins. Such an exciting vacation and adventure together with my friends.

We had also visited Wolff’s Bar and chill for a couple of minutes consuming few drinks.
What a wonderful country with good food and open minded people, embracing the idea of this new technology that we are in.
If you want to travel and chill with your friends and families, don't forget to visit Thailand. You can party all night, drink and eat all you can and just pay with your bitcoin. Less hassle and a lot safer than bringing cash with you. Grin
The downside is that there are some remote beautiful places that has no internet connection.

I'd definitely go back to Thailand next year. Can't wait for that moment to come. Cheesy

Similarly, I can have fun with my friends and relax with my VISA debit card.Personally, I would only use bitcoins from my wallet as a last resort.Although it is very nice to see that Thailand is so loyal to bitcoin. This is very pleasing. That's just wondering how they carry out the payment of taxes? Good to know that there is a country that we could visit and spend only our crypto .
I hope I could earn enough money to travel too ,
Maybe next year if I could save enough crypto for a family trip we would visit it too,
But my wife also wants to visit Japan and France .
I wish that you could earn and save a lot of money through bitcoin from now on and then you can visits new countries by using it. It could be so nice to use bitcoin, because it's so easy and secure. You only need to invest more in this crypto or just find out some ways to earn it and just waiting until the price will increase a lot this year, we are just hoping for a huge increase of bitcoin's price in this year.

It is amazing to know that some countries are really supporting BTC. It is so much ease to pay in BTC in some other country, no need to exchange currency which help you to save Currency exchange rate. Even it is so easy to carry virtual currency with you as compared to cash. Payment is just a click away. You also get rid of danger of being theft or loosing money in a different. Even Vending machine and eCommerce website also accept virtual currency easily as compared to cash. I hope other country do understand this ease and adopt BTC as a legal entity and a payment mode.

There a some shops and coffee store which accept Bitcoin in VietNam too but  it might be less popular than Thailand and they are not legal, the governments in Vietnam do not allow the store to accept Bitcoin instead of fiat money.

I know some companies and chain shop and they accept bitcoin or cryptocurrency on payment method. In Thailand people can spend their vacation with bitcoin. They can pay bills, buying goods through the cryptocurrency, that's really great vacation they spend in Thailand. Moreover there are some companies they pay their employees with bitcoin, they also spend Bitcoin on their daily activities.

Seems most of these places are pubs and bars. Are there any establishment you tried that accepts bitcoin? It seems that these places are ready for tourist that always ask acceptance of bitcoin. It would be nice to know if there is a hotel of supermarkets that also accepts bitcoin.

Oooo cool! Not gonna lie, I haven't used bitcoin in physical stores. So how did the whole process go? How many confirmations were needed until your payment was recognized? How long did wait?

I haven't been to thailand nor heard of those places, so I had to search if op is actually telling the truth and yes, they do accept bitcoin. Gonna leave the links here in case someone is the same as me.

Where to Spend Your Bitcoins in Bangkok, Thailand
“Bitcoin accepted in Bangkok”
Me too I haven't been using cryptocurrency in physical stores but I usually use it online with merchants. In terms of vacations and Bitcoin I think this is the fastest way to transact. I believe that some other countries will soon accept just like that of Thailand most especially on tourism as it is way more convenient. Confirmations are not a problem as long as there is an incoming transactions and we all know that it will really be successful for a few minutes.

Bitcoin gradually penetrates into all aspects of human life. Rest is just the beginning. It seems to me that lightning network will do its job and soon we will be able to buy almost everything for bitcoins: from a flight to Mars (hi, Elon Musk) to some banal purchases and services such as products or hair cutting. It's just a matter of time.

I still don't experience to go outside the country, but my husband did go to Hong Kong last year and he isn't able to saw some restaurant that accepting bitcoin, or maybe he just isn't able to get into some store accepting it. Hopefully, when I will able to go there soon, bitcoin payments are already allowed so it will be easy and convenient for me to buy some stuffs.

~snipped~

Are these limited only on a capital or around that place?

Don't know about the Thai's geography and spots but we will have a flight schedule on August this year. Places to visit are Phuket, Ko Samui and some other places on our itinerary. Not that Im interested on crypto payments but it's a good alternative. I still want to pay with fiat because don't want to harm my crypto with the current rates but instead of using credit card, I think crypto payments is a good alternative. No worries to bring only enough fiat on spot places.

I wonder if there are more places like this that could accept Bitcoin as payment, I would love to go too but since the market is still in the bearish trend I'll have to wait for the bullish trend.

There's a lot honestly, you may visit Japan, Canada and other European countries. Check it out here.

https://u.today/10-bitcoin-friendly-countries-that-legalized-cryptocurrency

Also listed those countries that mentioned have also crypto ATM. So this basically a vacation that doesn't need a cash. ;b

You were so lucky OP because you find the right spot that accepts Bitcoin, most of the businesses in other countries they were focused on fast foods or a coffee shop who accepts crypto.

Well now you don't need to be lucky because adoption is here.

These are one of the true feeling that any bitcoin investor, holder and many more should experience because it brings the true value of that coin. This shows we are on the right track to making history with cryptocurrency.. There will more adoption especially when volatility issues is solved.

This is one of the things that people tend to forget, when they live in countries where Bitcoin is banned. You can still earn Bitcoin in your own country where Bitcoin is banned and still take all those bitcoins and have a wonderful vacation in a country where it is not banned.  Grin

You do not have to explain anything to your local government and you will not reward them with tax income, if they do not want to allow Bitcoin in your country. It also gives you the option to take more money over the border for this holiday, than what would normally be allowed in your country.  Grin

I've been seeing Thailand/bitcoin posts on r/bitcoin all the time. It must be very popular there. I imagine it is a fun country to have a vacation but the crime rate there is what scares me.

Also Thai Baht's symbol ฿ looks a lot like bitcoin's BTC so maybe that's the reason why they like btc so much.
Heard so many good news about cryptocurrency in this country and it looks really convenient for them to use it. Its always good to travel and find some place where you can easily use your bitcoin. Crime rate is just another reason why you have to choose where to go.

I am really impressed with your experience with vacation and even more surprised that a country like Thailand could be as open as you have described it. My initial thinking was Thailand might have gone the way of weak countries who felt the best way to handle bitcoin is to go the way of banning and also filled themselves with the idea that only  on dark web is where bitcoin is being used. I see this as a new opening for business for businesses in Thailand and the only thing left is government to ensure that crypto activities are done within the confines of the laws so as not to be abused by unscrupulous individuals.
