nodes for the wallet?

I cant sync.

edit: finally, it conect and sync! Smiley

You can use Ubuntu 16.04LTS by installing "Wine Windows Launcher" and have less issues than using a Window OS.

This means you can use the Vertcoin.exe for Windows OS, instead of installing the Github Linux version.

Nearly, all Alt coins' Window.exe programs will work this way on most Linux Distros as long as WineHQ supports that Distro.

If there are 3 devs why the fuck they need developer for core wallet update? 3 devs dont know how to do it? Lol

Fyi . We currently have 2 devs and a couple that help out when they can, and we are always looking for more . We are focusing on long term support right now which involves keeping the wallets and software up to date . People have lives and get busy , we don't get paid for this . We are working on setting the vertcoin foundation to add some legitimacy to all this, and maybe one day we can actually pay the people who spend their time supporting and developing this coin . Long term support seems like the best bet right . You might be disappointed in the lack of development, but we are still here and vertcoin continues to be one of the most profitable gpu minable coins . The same cannot be said for newer coins that gain huge followings and then quickly fade out .

Dash uses a % deduction from the block rewards to fund development, which may be a direction to consider to fund future development.

I not sure, how they coded it into their network.

There are currently 8 people working on core that includes 4 new members who have joined in the last couple of months.

If you think it is all copy and paste, I would encourage your to fork Litecoin on GitHub, add Bitcoin master as upstream and pull all changes. Good luck getting zero merge conflicts, and even if you do, there might be issues with the changes thats been made.

in the vertcoin topic was not written for days, and now just when Bitcoin dump come to try to dump and vertcoin with many stupid post Grin

maybe you should buy a few Vertcoin for a 3 cent each

nice joke Cheesy

I guess the dev has abandoned VTC.

Who is "the dev" ?

There are 3 active developers:

1) "Netswift" is a computer vision researcher with over 10 years experience from the field. His favorite programming tools are Qt, C/C++ and Java, though he has long term experience from several other languages like Matlab/Octave, python and C# in various enviroments. netswift concentrates his efforts in Vertcoin’s core software and website development.

2) "jamesl22" Whilst still in school, James has been programming in one form or another since age 10. Until now most of his experience is been in video game development having developed a promotional game for a well known chemistry journal. Since his discovery of Vertcoin, he has been goal set on helping the cause, creating the Greenpool multipools. His principal languages include C++ and PHP.

3) "a432511" is an enterprise technical architect with a deep passion for security and privacy. His primary development stack is Microsoft (.NET), however, he has authored applications across many platforms and languages (Android, iOS, Java, PHP, etc). In addition to development, he will be helping with communication and marketing.

There are another 9 contributors: Timothy, DCvtc, Webbs, Casp3r, Boris, Aleks, Bengt, Othe and Founder : Bushido.

They are all listed on the website:

We have devs, but not enough devs for such a huge undertaking such as elasticity.

Nope, a new ASIC multi-Algo miner hardware has just such nuked most of GPU alternatives:

Baikal Mini Miner Hash Rate and Power Usage:
– X11: 150 MH/s @ 40W
– X13: 150 MH/s @ 46W
– X14: 150 MH/s @ 47W
– X15: 150 MH/s @ 48W
– Quark: 150 MH/s @ 25W
– Qubit: 150 MH/s @ 28W

$500 dollar as well to boot Grin

You know, what they say - "Last Man Standing" on GPU mining becomes the major player aka the only player.
