That's nice, but to make any decent success from Alt Coin developed at GPU POW hardware level, you do need to hold at a minimum of 0.0001% of the Long Term Max Coin Supply.

THIS ADVICE IS FOR POORER INVESTORS.

E.G 84,000,000 LTMCS equates to minimum permanent position of 8,400.

Above, the minimum holding, you will have the better funded or more sophisticated investors, who take sizeable positions, but they're usually are financially wealthy and many ALT Coins are just a fun alternative to watching Television or throwing their money away in rigged betting games.

Below the minimum LTMC holding of 0.0001%, you'll have a mixture of newbies, people who don't know what they are doing and BTC traders (who do margin trading on ALTs, exploiting early stage POW Max Blocks Rewards to short sell ALTs).

Do people listen to you in the real world? Because what you've just posted is utter rubbish.

This coin is yet worthy to cpu-mine? I remember doing about 8000-10000 sat worth of vertcoin mining with an old dual core five months ago.

Vertcoin on Jubi, moontime:

http://k.sosobtc.com/vtc_jubi.html

150k bought last hour.

Isn't Jubi the highly regarded and legitimate exchange that was doing like $10M/day volume on Sharkcoin a while ago?  Roll Eyes

Come dudes, the difficulty on Ethereum has jumped by 35% in 3 weeks.

It is pretty blatant: ASIC mining equipment has been produced and is being distributed amongst insiders, who will nuke the GPU profitability out of Ethereum!

Is anything happening with this coin ?

Well, you know the rules about ANN's, they are for Announcements by the developers and Feedback to the developers from the community.

Something is happening, but does not need an Announcement and it does not need Feedback to the developers Smiley

No execoin, time to pump vertcoin.

In terms of price increase, it would be better to copy Litecoin, which had it's price adjustment 5 months before the Block Halving.

Simply put, very few miners, will sell their allocation from mining when a Block Halving is happening in near future.
Nah this coin is Asic resistant dude, unlike LTC.
And relax, it will go sooner or later.

Found out the original developer of boosted Lyra2v2 ccminer:

Nanashi Meiyo-Meijin

There is source code for the ccminer, for those who can compile from source at:

https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AHk1hss4HZtCU60&id=C7ABE390AB1575E7%21825&cid=C7ABE390AB1575E7

So, the credit and fame should really go to the Japanese coder.

Any of you guys mining and holding VTC, there is new free CCMiner with boosted performance!

750TI is around 6.9mhs (factory boost clock 1345)

GTX 950 is around 10.5mhs (factory boost clock 1417)

GTX 960 is around 13.4mhs (factory boost clock 1392)

Also, SP_ is selling a updated private miner 0.10BTC with even higher performance

750TI is around 7.2mhs

GTX 950 is around 11.1mhs

GTX 960 is around 14.2mhs

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=826901.0;topicseen

I've got the private miner from SP_, but that thread tells you where to get the free miner from Nicehash, just put bat file in it, if you cannot afford the private miner Wink
