I've been digging VTC for 3 months, the current price situation is really nuts.
Observation - stealth addresses is certainly a big step forward, however in my opinion it's a little late. CryptoNote with untraceable payments and inability to check wallet balance for 3rd party - happened before SX. And that ...is rising badly!
Something needs to be done for saving VTC. We need investors, articles in Wired and NYT, more popular services accepting VTC, more attention... otherwise currency will be forgotten despite all dev efforts.

Oh wow, I looked into Vertcoin before but didn't hear about this until now. Is this feature active now, or in the future? If future, when is the ETA for this to be implemented?

was just thinking about possible markets.
Maybe would be good idea to make a list of potential environments that use some sort of their own currency and approach them to switch to crypto and vert.
I think secondlife has some sort of their currency not sure how alive it is nowadays.
Online games, where some sort of buying stuff is taking place.
xx webcams and sites that use some sort of tokens etc.
there must be like millions of such sites/environments that use some internal tokens and moving to crypto could be benefitial to them no need to mess with token databases and fiat conversion and stuff.
(little side question , dont laugh , feeling dumb already, made reddit account today, never used, posted few repplies in vert threads , and i can see my posts in theread only when i am logged in , when not logged in they are not in there, a little WTF moment )

The multipools would probably fight back and try to game it. But it is still worth a try. If we succeed, Vertcoin will become the first coin to beat multipools. News would spread that Vertcoin is serious about protecting its value. Let's go for it!

Maybe in the future if we implement It. Obviously, they're going to fight back but they aren't going to succeed
Vert is going to demonstrate that is a serious project.

POS coins are starting to get exposed. Two coins in a week are talking rollback.
What is the other coin?
Hope people will stop the hype about PoS and start working on innovation and not copy/paste coins without bringing anything new.
I know there's some devs workings hard to help CC grow, vert's devs are included. Hope the hard working minority will surpass the masses of sheeps.

Agreed. It's about damn time good coins are recognized. It's an odd marketplace. Right now everyone seems to be focused on P&D coins. High risk high reward. When things settle I hope to see VTC get some love.
I don't like the idea of rollback. For one, its creates winners and losers (those who get caught up by accident and are put out of pocket) and it only works if your coin is not very established - which shows how little it is actually used beyond trading.
