Make sure you backup your wallet.dat first! That is very very important just in case you accidentally clear out the entire Vertcoin folder.

no, it seems you are missing the point.... I was able to get some coins at 0.00075 yesterday. Nevertheless i am still concerned about the missing communication between the community and the dev.

the reason why i have been investing in VTC for the last months was that the dev seemed to be very active and showing up via Facebook and promoting this BTC alternative. I also was asking some BTC exchanges too introduce a USD/VTC market, because i am tired of buying BTC first.

I believe in this coin, but i am not willing to be quiet and watching this coin implode.

Yeah, lets make a donation account for them, i don't have any problems with that. I will send them 50VTC straight away, they deserve it.

But i still don't get it why they became so shy Cheesy

I don't believe in BTC as much as i do in VTC, because it is a solid project.

Vertcoin is one, if not the best coin you may invest in. When all the craziest hype about new coins, and when people realize that ASIC's are evil and against all the philosophy behind cryptos, Vertcoin will be the major coin in the scene.
Vertcoin is frightening a LOT of people, because its truly decentralized. Price may not rise that much that fast. My opinion is, don´t sell. If you can, buy some more. Time will reward you and all of us.

think about how much coins from the 600+ atm will survive. i guess maybe 5 and i bet vtc will be one of them.
i don't care if it takes 1 year or 2, vtc was allways a long term coin for me. there are more than enough d&b coins out there to play with in the meantime

As I see, this is happening to other alt coins as well.
Short of volumns at weekend + some FUD have caused weak hands to sell and the price to tank a bit.
Devs are about to release their Stealth Address feature in the the coming week and there should be nothing to worry about the price rather than buying.
