Will anything be done to address the issue of multipools dumping VTC anytime soon?
What would you have us do about it? Hardfork to block reward 0? As long as it is profitable to mine and dump, they will mine and dump
Something similarly compared to KGW, which was supposed to make it less rewarding to mine.
Clearly times are different and we need something more strict.
VTC's network is too small to have a .5 Gh/s multipool, come out of nowhere, that primarily mines VTC. Already it's dumping 10% of VTC generated. This only gets added to the others dumping from other sources.
The only way to make the multipool insignificant is to have a much higher overall network hashrate. The currently network hashrate is 5837.3831 Mh/s, and 500 Mh/s from Waffle is almost 10%. If we can entice more VTC miners to mine straight into their own wallets, we can dampen the effects of Waffle. Unless, we go down the path of tying hashrate to block rewards a la DRK?
